abuja is no longer the abuja the abuja of 4years ago.

am also privileged to leave in side town okay,

thanks.

True that's because of the UNCHECKED growing influx of people from all walks of life migrating and settling into the city daily, hence there is a massive population explosion going on. Therefore the real peace, serenity, nature, accessibility etc is gradually fading out the real beauty of Abuja, coupled with increasing pressures on public infrastructures. Compared to the other capitals which have smaller populations.

Though i respect your opinions, I am of the full believe that Abuja is not in the leagues of capitals like ACCRA. Cheers!

do you leave in abuja or when was the last time you visit

the city has become something else plz

Seems you don't live in Abuja or you may be living in the outskirts of the city which is close to other States like nassarawa, kogi and Niger States or satellite towns where the majority of abuja working class are residing not in the main city hence your assertions that Ghana is beautiful than and better than Abuja. Unfortunately I can tell you that you are very wrong, it doesn't Even add up.... Plus Abuja is a rapidly growing and evolving city

Meanwhile, a number of the governors were also worried by the electoral value of many of the delegates. It was the opinion of the governors and major stakeholders that none of the candidates could deliver his state in an election.

the statement above should be checked and looked into properly before 2019, if the PDP wishes to win. #WatchingAsEventsUnfold.

Functional base test has to do with assessment/test relating to the job functional duties. That is, you can prepare for d test by reading materials on the job field. U will get disappointed at d end of d test if u prepare solely with GMAT.

alcoholic drinks and spirits: very tasteless, bitter and disgusting chemicals even scents alone puts me off.

can manage a few sugary alcohol than manage the tastiest fish! eeeewwwww!!

Fashion / Re: People With Tattoos Will Be Arrested In Port Harcourt by iamwrong(m): 6:16pm On Apr 06, 2017
dingbang:
Nigerian mentality sef.. I just wonder how the Nigerian police reason. So because one wears a tattoo, he or she must be a criminal.. On what grounds?? No wonder we are called a third world country..

Where is it in the constitution that tattoo is a crime in nigeria.. Well .. I just need to get the fvck out from this nation

Though unfortunate, but the Nigerian security forces especially the police actions seems justified as atleast seven out of every Ten youths that have tattoos are involved in criminal/questionable acts/vices. Same applies to youths with scars and questionable marks on their bodies.

Except you re a well known and a documented celebrity/public figure, or someone from a highly priviledged and politically/socially connected background its easy to bail yourself out of any trouble with these security agents. Hence I always appeal to normal folks not to think of getting a tattoo as its a trap security agents use to extort, implicate, harass you etc in different ways, to achieve one aim or the other (either good or bad).

Besides i notice recently that most criminals, touts, prostitutes of different shades, robbers etc all have one thing in common which is "Tattoo".

Here in Abuja over zealous plain clothes SARS men (who re on the look out for criminals based on intelligence information and boko haram suspects) randomly arrest/kidnap people and take them to their base and interrogate them for hours after which they bail their self or someone bail them out when its established that they re innocent not who they suspect them to be most are guys with tattoos.

Hello, kudos to the contributors of this thread. May your efforts yield positive rewards. Please can anyone recommend a Firm/coy/NGO here in Abuja, where I can practice relevant hardcore accounting/finance and learn technical skills practically etc. It isn’t so much about the salary as I would want to break into the industry: I would not mind to work for a meagre salary/volunteer to gain the intricacies and the first hand understanding of what they do. Your responses will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and God bless.

Note: I'm currently an ACCA student still in my early stage (knowledge level: f3 left to write).

Travel / Re: Tell Us The Best Places To Live In Nigeria And Why by iamwrong(m): 11:08am On Dec 26, 2016
ABUJA

Mostly the main city (prime districts) such as Apo, Wuse, Garki, Asokoro , jabi and Utako,. due to the relative peace, amenities, homeliness, good infrastructures, serenity, network of people around you, security, etc plus Abuja Is not expensive to live in as most people erroneously believed, except for Housing/accommodation which happens to be expensive. and it's a good place to raise a family as well.

ONDO STATE

Mostly Akure such as fiwasaye, alagbaka, ijap!o estate, and Oba ile, due to its low cost of living, access to basic amenities, banks,, security, event centers, clubs, malls and everything u are looking for socially, materially, economically even academically you get them at a good price and quality. also alot of business and career opportunities abounds here etc plus the stress and drama of most large cities is relatively almost absent. The people here are homely and hospitable. it's a good place to start life as bachelor or young family.

KANO STATE

Mostly the state capital most especially nassarawa GRA, same reasons given to ondo applies here, plus you have access to alot of entrepreneurship opportunities and networks. grew up here during my childhood. it's cool place to be.
Science/Technology / Re: How Efficient Are Solar Electricity Power Systems? by iamwrong(m): 11:47am On Dec 13, 2016
wellmax:
Well I have a neighbour that has been running solar since Feb 2016 with no issues. He spent almost N1.5M and tries not to overload it.

But I wonder all those solar street light, they don't last more than a few months.

I know one solar shop in Ikeja, there is never light in the shop, I wonder what their selling point is.

The reason why most solar street lights are not working and don't last is as a result of poor installation processes, lack of strict adherence to maintenance when due and substandard or crooked applications or use of substandard accessories and batteries.

also for the shop owner, that may be due to the factors mentioned above, especially when the battery is faulty or tampered, the whole solar system is also tampered or faulty.

the lifespan of a solar system is meant to be 8Years atleast. The Nigerian factors such as corruption, unfriendly govt policies, hostile business climate, as well as the cabals in the Generator Business and oil and gas industry etc has made it abit difficult for the solar industry to grow massively, made it expensive and be accepted fully by the average Nigerian.

But I believe with time and persistent efforts the solar sector will grow and all the challenges being experienced will be a thing of the past. It's another multi-Billion dollar industry waiting to explode in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Health / Re: Can Hearing Loss Caused By Quinine Be Cured? by iamwrong(m): 1:42pm On Nov 11, 2016
I just learnt from your new update..... having similar hearing issue..........the questions the doctor asked you like the catarrh symptoms etc i seem to experience it as well..... besides occasionally i hear ringing tunes or echoes for a brief period of time..........used hearing aids some years back. Honestly i felt hatred for it as it caused me emotional stress, harassment and embarrassment apart from the fact that it caused me and people around a lot of inconvenience........finally stopped using it to the annoyance of my parents back then as they would be using it harass and remind me of how expensive it costs to obtain it (about 600k back then 2007), besides it was also expensive to maintain as i would be visiting the doctor to buy new sets of batteries for my aids and also resolve one or two issues about it as well of which the doctor would collect money for the services rendered. I wowed i would never allow them get me something that expensive and harass me constantly, even when they begged appealed, my peace of mind was precious. Funny enough my hearing seems to have improved better than in the past, even my friends and family members observed and comments on it as well from time to time, i also do alot of DO-IT-YOURSELF hearing/ear therapies by researching massively on the internet about various ear problems, symtoms and DIY solutions, i must admit it has really helped my hearing. from experience most Nigerian ENT Doctors are after the money and not how they can help u resolve and treat your hearing loss passionately. it was when my parents travelled to India that they discovered that my ENT doc was ripping us off by giving me hearing aids that re not tailored or not designed for my specific hearing loss/problem and also selling at an overpriced rate (my folks bought two different sets of hearing aids back then from our Nigerian ENT doc). i was using analogue instead of a customized digital, the indian ENT doctor was mad and angry at such wickedness and gave me a set of digital aids at a cheaper price at 250K. hence we cut ties with doc. It was an eye opener for me. hence i made up my mind that if i am to go for any ENT services and hearing aids. its india, canada, us, uk. but india is the best and is cheaper compared to the other countries.

Romance / Advice Needed: Trust Issues by iamwrong(m): 3:01pm On Mar 09, 2016
Good day house, a female friend of mine has got some issues/problem disturbing her, and its bothers on trust and fidelity. According to her "she went over to her fiancé crib last weekend to spend some time with him, while there she happened to be having a good time and it was in the process that the fiance asked to go through her phone and she in turn demanded to go through his own phone having gone through hers, there and then she stumbled on her fiance's text messages where she saw some explicit intimate conversations with some female contacts on his phone. She confronted him about it, tho he apologised and called the female contact in her presence and accused her of starting and sending explicit messages and conversations, it ended there.

But ever since then she has been moody and find it very difficult to trust her fiancé and finds herself detesting him and acting abit rude and out of place towards him. She seems to have lost her lively self and cant focus at work, as she had high regards and expectations for him.

Please Nairalanders your candid advice and opinion is needed. She as well will also see your comments. Thanks.

You're 1000% right.
All the songs he did are all hit songs.
Iyanya featured him in Gift, it was a hit .
Psquare featured him in Collabo, it was a hit.
He only said Korede Bello and Don Jazzy in Godwin, the song became a hit.

[s]Don Jazzy is the Nigerian version of Rick Ross.
If you come for Rick Ross, he will end your career.
Rick Ross ended 50 cent and Jay Z's career[/s].

Outright rubbish you just spewed there!!! Please do your research well. Rozay is still a learner where Jayz and 50 is and their career aint dead yet, they are waxing strong and mentoring budding music talents, managing businesses and established music labels asides attaining legendary and record breaking status each amongst other endeavors . Infact hes fortunate that the lil beef between him and 50 only made Rozay popular and exposed him as a wannabe or self acclaimed GANGSTER whereas he's all talk and trash, no guts and balls. its all in the in media and internet. Google is your friend.
