Approval dropped down this morning for my hubby after 26 solid weeks! It can only be God.

Timeline:
SOWP Online Application
Applied: 26th February
Biometrics: 4th March
Upfront medical
Medical passed: 21st August
Passport request: 21st August
Application approval: 10th September

My study permit is expiring on the 21st November so I was still scared to update my e-family until today.

Wow 26 weeks, congratulations to you Julechi.

I think they are beginning to look at SOWP applications now that medicals are being passed.

If you get your medicals passed along with you Biometrics validation letter same time and day, please indicate. Last month, study permit applicants who received same got approved within a week.

@Ibbond, @Eimolove92 and @YMin ……. have you checked recently?

I’ve been following the thread, medicals yet to be updated. Background check still ongoing

Online applicants with upfront meds...….your meds are yet to be updated?

Not yet updated oooo. I guess it’s because background check is still running. I believe when eligibility review starts, medicals should get updated.

Please anyone studying at Georgian College?

Thank you..

Just to add to the issue of 2nd MASTERS in CANADA or PHD SCHOLARSHIP in GERMANY:

If you were able to withdraw your funds from Canada it goes to explain that money is not an issue for you (I may be wrong though).

My advice : if money ain't an issue for you then stick to Canada. That was your initial move.

Cheers!

PLEASE anyone studying at Georgian College?
I need assistance!

Thank you

Hola, i’m In Georgian college. What assistance do you need ?

May/June/July applicants who did not share their timeline yesterday should endeavour to do that today. This will enable us have a clear direction on how things are going on the CIC homefront. From the profiles shared yesterday it can be deduced that on the average, after 8 weeks people's profiles were changing and reading eligibility of review started and by 10 to 12 weeks medical call and 12 to 14 weeks, a verdict on the application was dished out.

Alhamdulilah.... hands shaking as i’m typing this. Passport request finally came through after the long wait.

Good morning my Ogas, I'm so heartbroken right now, University of Concordia declined my application for the second time with the reason that the program applied to requires a CGPA of 4/5 but my own CGPA is 3.68. I'm currently running a masters in information technology in unilag which I intended to drop if the admission was successful. Please my bosses, which school will you recommend. I want to forget about concordia and apply to some other good schools.

NB. I'm a graduate of computer science and engineering (CGPA 3.68).

You can try Concordia University of Edmonton in Alberta for MISSM. I’m also a computer science graduate.

Water resources management.

Try to make google your friend at this stage, I believe you can get a masters admission with your cgpa. I also graduated with a 2.2 Comp sci and I was able to secure a masters program.
