Qelvin: true,I personally think Yorubas are the only viable counter balance to the Hausa'Fulani subtle oligarchy...why do you think their leaders sought the alliance of the yorubas under the APC umbrella for their son to be president? cause they know and acknowledge the political strength and sophistry of your people...which others might interpret as yorubas playing second fiddle, but smarter yorubas(especially the younger generation) should see this as an opportunity to stage an upset when the frail and almost retiring Buhari approaches the tail of his tenure! we Igbos(yeebos if you may) are too discordant and overtly emotional than logical when it comes to politics in Nigeria, that is why we always loose out in the balance of power equation..maybe this Biafra awakening will bring us back together for good and leave you guys alone! in all I give it to you yorubas when it comes to unity sha..una try for that one,but stop kissing the fulani gluteus maximus, cause you are the only light and power of a flailing Nigeria not them...Igbos lost interest decades ago.
Qelvin: in a country where the army and police force has a preponderance of this same Hausa/Fulani's its like pouring water through a basket...what you should agitate for is a regional type of police force...a yoruba voice should make a difference, since Igbos are more focused on Biafra)Biafra if you may) than anything else at this point
Don't assume that Yorubaland will stay with Nigeria. I doubt the MB would want to stay with the North either. Unfortunately, even if they separate, they're too close to Fulani invasion.
divinehand2003: Goldmine indeed. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER SOURCE OF INCOME FOR ALL THE LOOTERS, WARLORDS, MILITANTS, ISLAMISTS, CORRUPT AND RAPIST OF THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY. TOO BAD DEAR FELLOW NIGERIAN MASSES, YOU ARE NOT INVITED!!!!!!
Don't blame me. I just stumbled on the forum during my annual Xmas scholarship. Studied a few threads for like a month or so, and decided to register. Then boom, the first week I registered, cos I must've told a poster that my parents are Yoruba and I had Epe as my pops' hometown on my siggy or text then - those mofos just started attacking me lool.
They never knew they were dealing with a psycho with a slick mouth and no pause/chill. I had to fall back for a few months. Then I just said muthaphuck these loafers and I started taking their heads off looool.
magicminister: i am just letting you know that tribe plays no factor here. Its all about the connection.
ill bliss does not have the kinda connect to pull that deal. If he did, he would. Besides, ill bliss got chidima an mtn endorsement. Does sheyi shay have any endorsement with any telecomm?
Aareonakakanfo: But that's because I'm familiar with you and common sense should tell me there's some relationship between Ibebe and Ileke
As per sleep, I go gist you later
Later later later. na im we don hear. Later turns to "mind your business".
Aareonakakanfo: That character is a symbol of stvpidity. No be today na abi you just dey know? This country sef.I'm ttired mehn He's Yoruba, okun to be precise.I see Okun people cheering him all the time on their facebook groups
when you said "cheering him on", did you mean "insulting him verbally"?
Damalex4luv: What am saying is that America sees sex as a normal thing. They don't really count at as something of big importance. I know they can be faithful but that's only after marriage.
Divorce in America is 51%. Wanna bet how many of that percentage is caused by unfaithful partners?
hollandis: Stupidd research .Nigeria outstripped American indeed. What megabytes do you guys have to be downloading those huge HD videos and pictures? In America all the cafes have free WiFi
Your foolish statistic ,assumptions and conclusion is false and a waste of financial resources if any
You can't argue with google analytics. This isn't your typical epa&garri stats culled by lazy Nigerian researchers.
magicminister: The guy that gets all this deal done is paul okoye of paulo prime promoters. This is not about tribalism. That guy controls 50 percent of all the endorsements in the Nigerian music industry.
He is a back ground guy, you would never hear of him but he is one of the most important deal breakers in naija entertainment. Sheyi shay's deal would be worth about 15 million for 3 years. 50 percent up front and 50 percent at end of deal.
U gotta love this industry.
What's that gotta do with my question?
Why the yoruba girl? Why not that basic looking overhyped kedike?
In 2014, the popularity of Nigerian Google searches for pornography (relative to other searches) on a scale of 0 to 100 was above 80. (Google ranks as 100 any item that constitutes 10% or more of all searches in a country.) The number of average monthly searches by volume was 165,000 and the States with the greatest popularity for porn searches were: Lagos, Oyo, Delta, Rivers, Cross River and Abuja. The relative popularity of rape pornography videos was also above 80, with Lagos State leading the charge and Nigeria ranked third globally for the most Google searches for Gay pornography. (We were ranked second in 2013.)
WTF?
@ gay pornography
Not surprising. Nigerians are the most hypocritical people on the planet.
99% of the anti-homosexuals on NL are in the closet.
Aareonakakanfo: Iya Agba you know this your Ibebe moniker is quite difficult to detect.Even the romanis won't know its you. They're used to the Ileke varieties
What do you think about the new thread title?
They'll figure it out soon enough
Shebi, you recognized me.
I love it. With politics in it, some funny mischievous jelosi characters will kwench on it.
Dude, igba wo lo ma n sun? You be aje? I've been meaning to ask.
mandarin: Amusing am here. I strongly believe we can't be blaming colonialist and errors of the far flung years but I must admit that Nigeria started on a tripod but the merger of these and subsequent six geopolitical divisions and thirty six states did not reflect the tripod arrangements of old Admittedly, we must reckon that political leaders have failed in most cases but today here we are in Nigeria still facing mundane challenges as portable water, roads and electricity, the world has left us behind. The Yoruba country may be rated above some other regions but the truth be told, in its beauty and glory, its still a long way to go. What are the immediate approach to recovery 1. Building synergy and leveraging on its natural advantages: it all starts with establishing a proactive and response governance. Using its political and economic structures as launch pad, she needs to immediately identify existing gaps in basic economic levels of agriculture especially in grains productions, animal farms and vegetables.Another gap is what I called the intermediate industrial wares must be focused on which can absorb products from the first tier and produce for bigger consumers such as machine&tools, spared parts etc then the Yoruba country can grow from there. 2. Use Lagos as launch pad for growth: Allow Lagos to continue to grow into a cosmopolitan services city, allow it to spill to Ogun, connect it by fast train to Ibadan, open up new ports at Ondo and service it with industrial and energy city there. 3. Welcome all investors with open arms: even if they say they owe your economy, like the English, make Yoruba country the English idea 4.Provide good infrastructures: More than ever, the Yoruba need to to invest in infrastructures especially power leveraging on the current alliance with government in power, work on water supplies, roads, and energy sustainability. So for Biafra I've kept myself out of this talk but for the sake of those who are here to learn I will lend my voice. The current agitators of Biafra incidentally will gain the least from it. Any evolution of a Biafra country will almost immediately brings Nigeria to an end. I know that Niger Deltans and Yoruba are watching with keen interests but the best outcome could be true federalism or regionalism(I crave this profoundly) but Igbos would have lost something of value, investments. Two key areas will explode in event of any disintegrated Nigeria; the Niger Delta which will be war over oil and gas and, the middle Belt, over boundary with core north and claims over Abuja.Let me stop here
My brother (sister?),
If Lagos can grow to its standard, colonialism is no longer our core problem. We shouldn't even entertain the thought. We need leaders with vision and we need visionaries with the right approach.
I support many of your key points. We've [over] discussed them in previous pages.
Yorubas, as a country, can stand on its own.
This Biafra issue is not our fight. We shouldn't fight their fight, nor should we hinder them. This country is not worth it, to others, it's profitable as a divided entity.
sanmibukunmi: I have been going through thus thread and I can see that the Yorubas are blessed. as in stinkingly blessed so much that am forced to ask if our leaders know about all these mineral resources being mentioned here. and if they don't know, maybe there can be a way we can communicate these things to them. I mean it's really embarrassing to have all these and still be suffering.
ps- I looked for this thread for over 30 minutes earlier in the day but couldn't find it. I tort it had been deleted only for me to find it again this night. I Wonder what happened?
One igbo mode moved it after he kwenshed with jelosi, one good fulani mode moved it back for us.
Yes o my brother, we're blessed.
That's why we need to let this biafrans continue with their agitation so that Nigeria can divide. I don tire. How can the SW region be so blessed yet still underdeveloped?
