If the presidency is aware of this meeting and stayed away then they fully culpable of any accusation from any quarters. Prof (Mrs) Joy Uche Angela Ogwu, the Nigeria's perm rep to the United Nations should carry more of this blame. It was her call to make sure her president attend this all important meeting.

Absolutely!!!!

I'm not too sure if Joy Ogwu's tenure is near completion but with this blunder, trust PMB to through throw her out asap.

Again, the Presidency should have investigated the matter before issuing a statement. Imagine the thought that PMB lied!!! What a shame!

This is indeed a minus for the APC-led government.
Time to sack that incompetent Joy Ogwu. The wailing wailers can wail on.

If only i had this option when my grandma died. anyone who says they wont pay for the surgery is wicked. How can you live your life and enjoy that money knowing that you could have saved her life. i wouldnt hesitate to pay it. Life and love is more important to me than money even if its just for a day
Oni gbese obirin. Women like you will ruin her husband.

My wife is similar BUT I have shouted common sense into her (and insisted that she would pay the next round of school fees)

My father is 86 now. Didn't do much in his life due to chronic laziness. My sister has nearly ruined herself feeding and fending for him. Her husband is not smiling, no body is smiling. As for me he is not getting 5 kobo from me. I will make sure his feeding is limited from next year so that he can quickly kick the bucket and save these nice people from financial ruin.

All courtesy of the kind of federalism we practice. If we had regional n decentralised system of govt everyone will develop at their pace n answer their father's name. For any lapses u hold ur fellow countryman responsible cos the buck rests with them. In as much as d centre holds d purse strings, collects d lion share and conveniently favours some groups to d deliberate near exclusion of others then Nigeria will not do much better than it is.

You can be sure that if each region had to source for their income n development whilst paying an agreed percentage to d centre, no silly governor will sit on his arse n wait for handouts at d end of the month then still blame inability to pay common salaries on the centre or oil prices. They will seriously explore n develop other resources n not wait for FG because it's on one Executive list.
You are correct my friend, our #constitution# will unravel itself sooner or later.

It falsely and deceitfully assumes that we are one, we love each other and everyone is a willing and happy party to the agreement.

Nigeria is a country built on lies.

Until there is a law restricting movement n settlement in any part of Nigeria or repealing the right to freely establish n own businesses n properties in any part of Nigeria without harassment u n ur kind have no right to dictate who goes or stays wherbe. In other words on the basis of those rights no 'host' should dictate to a citizen where or how to live provided they're not breaking any law or interfering with culture/tradition.
Business, commerce n politics have nothing to do with tradition so dem 'hosts' can shove it!
There is theory and there is practice. No matter what is written in the constitution of Nigeria, I am a Yoruba man and I am not moving to Sokoto or Daura. If I do for any reason I would be foolish to carry on as if i am in Abeokuta or claim that I have the same right and authority as the people of Daura.

My friend Abeg forget our make-believe constitution. The idiots who put it together did not envisage that Igbos will totally reject and abandon their fatherland or go looking for a no mans land in another tribe's territory. In the next 30 years I see the Gwarry people laying their claim to their rightful Abuja. If you ignore them they will respond with suicide bombing.

This is how they struggle and strategise. Tomorrow when they buy a land n build their house n the children they are training today become achievers some dolts will say Igbos aren't respectful, they don't bow to their hosts, that they want to take over and all d bs they spew.

Tell me why they won't celebrate n freestyle when they climb from grass to grace by hardwork n determination! Someone will see it as show off if they reject oppression. Yeye ppl! God bless this couple n dia family biko!
You are right and that's why it is important to develop one's ancestral fatherland. If you make it big or small in your homeland nobody can challenge your enjoyment. If you are a visitor in somebody else land, you have to behave and not offend your host. Like it or not.

Guess what the British told Dangote when he offered to buy Arsenal?

cabinet my foot. Igbos have decided not be part of your cabinet. It was igbo people that made fashola succeed. We are going in for Elective positions not cabinet member that can be removed any minute.
We have come to stay. Lagos is not a Yoruba territory. It's an occupied territory.
The agenda is working
Tell yourself the truth. Do you feel anymore Lagosian because of the house of rep member? Do you suddenly feel indigenous to Yoruba land? Did having the rep stopped the Oba from claiming his domain and telling you Onitcha and Aba are where home is?

Obama is a feel good factor for blacks but it hadn't change the status of black people in America, infact another black president will not be seen in America for some time to come.

Yorubas are waking up. We are talking and hostility to Igbos has started from the top and will slowly cascade down. This is not your home!!! How many Lagos state indigenous politicians have you seen together with the Igbo rep?

Biafrans have 2 members in Lagos house and 2 in house of Rep. And you are not worried. You said just 2?

The agenda is working. Biafran senators will come in soon. Wait for more Biafrans in your state house of assembly next election.

We are committed to taking Lagos finally.
The agenda is working
I pity your people in Lagos. It would take just one day of mayhem to destroy everything you have worked for in our land. If we shut down your businesses for 1 week alone, your traders will cry. I maintain that more than 95% of your people are poor and tenants in Lagos. I have 2 Ladipo boys in my house.

Keep pushing and let's see where your plans would lead you. Now that Yorubas have woken up to your plans let's see how far. Remember this time around there is not one single Igbo in the cabinet of Lagos state. That should tell your flat head.

Let's take Nigeria for a case study.

Next month will mark our 55th Independence. Wonderful weather. Massive lands for extensive Agriculture. Hardly any winter. Blessed with huge human resources.

And yet we can't even provide basic amenities such as roads, safe potable water( citizens sink their own boreholes), terrible living conditions, terrible education sector, no stable power. A country of more than 150 million people can't generate up to 20000 MW.

Nigeria is a example of black nations that are yet to find their feet.
We are inferior beings.......

The writer is an idiot, as are many yorubas who think like him. For your information, your countrymen who live in your part of the country are no strangers - they are compatriots, and I'm 100 percent sure they are not living on your goodwill. They won't worship you and would only reciprocate whatever respect your accord them.

You will not dictate to them how they will live, or organise themselves, the constitution is there for such. And if you don't want them to live, do business, or prosper in your so-called space, get your representative to state that in the national constitution. And until Nigeria finally disintegrates to several pieces, Lagos - nay Nigeria will always be a no-man's land for all her citizens!!

Again the writer is a very foolish, stup/id and sufferscated bast/ard!
Your father will not die well for this your response. The OP is making serious valid points and as always the answer has to come from a useless idiotic tribe. Why dont you approach the authorities in Lagos and tell them this is no man's land. And where in the constitution does it say Lagos is no man;s land and it is for everybody?
The fact is until all states in Nigeria have the same level of migration and stampeded in the same manner, Lagos resolutely remains a Yoruba state.
The commissioners have been selected and are being screened. Go and challenge that they are all Yorubas.
Whether your father likes it or not, this is Yoruba land. Go and build your shops and mansions in Igboland. The hatred is building up and mutual.
