Politics › Re: Why The CCB And CCT Are Wrong In Saraki's Case by ibedun: 10:09pm On Sep 20, 2015 |
For Saraki to survive he must be completely exonerated. Scaling through on technicalities (defective procedures) will not remove the essence of the case and public perception of it - which is corruption and criminality.
The moral burden is weightly and there is no other option but to remove and jail the follow. |

Simply a matter of law - the rule of law.
Wailers may not understand given that the rule of law is alien to their part of the country. |
Politics › Re: Senators In Emergency Meeting Over Saraki- Daily Trust by ibedun: 10:10am On Sep 20, 2015 |
Pennywise: Dumb, corrupt senators not worthy of the name, the Nigerian senate continues to be a disgrace to all. Rather than request Saraki to subject himself to the rule of law, they are spoiling for a fight with the executive because they possess the ultimate tool of blackmail - impeachment. A responsible senate will think more of a proper House cleaning.
Some might even begin to suggest the woes befalling Saraki is a sign of a lack of 'political manoeuvring' unlike in David Mark's Senate when Mark and his senators went berserk breaking every law.
Well there is a new Sheriff in town unlike the wimp who sat in Aso rock for 6yrs not knowing what to do.
Perhaps the time has come to address the Senate problem through a referendum. Do we actually need a full time senate when we have a House of reps. Afterall we didn't start with this corrupt version of American import. Great point Bros. |

Mark my words, the day Saraki is arrested, that sane day, Nigeria shall begin it's journey to disintegration!
Quote me after the arrest of Saraki. Bros, this is national politics not village politics. Saraki will attend the hearing tomorrow, his choice as to whether he is arrested or not. |

Relax, Saraki is a thoroughly damaged brand. Even he knows in his head that he has climbed the tree beyond the leaves (O ti gun gi koja ewe).
As terrible and dirty our society is, once the spotlight is beamed on your fraudulent activities and your acts are in the public domain, you are a goner.
He is unfit to be the senate president and Saraki himself knows that himself. His case is a closed one. Imagine our senate president running like a small time crook from a simple Tribunal. |

damola1: 1. Proven until Guilty is the law. And the road on that journey is a long thing. 2. Most if not all politicians are criminals. 3. What is important is not for him to go or come, what's important is for him to know who is master is, he alone cannot fight everyone, especially since he's a record, So, now they own him and can use him. Baba's technical ministers must go through. There is too much in the public domain already. Surely Buhari's fight corruption mandate would be compromised whether they (The Executive) own Saraki or not. |

xwolverine: The said senator could be Ekweremadu the constitutional lawyer. If so, he is making a grave mistake by joining issues with the CCT. He should have stayed out of this controversy for his own good. That useless Ekweremofo. So he is Nigeria's DSP and a constitutional lawyer yet he wants to sustain a criminal in post? Ekweremadu wants to sustain a criminal presiding an important law making organ. Oga o!!! |

damola1: He'll survive, but now the executive will own him. And he'll approve the ministers. It's simple game. Own him!... no longer atiku's b!tch. Survive kini? That guy can no longer be the president of the senate, otherwise the government and the legislative organ will lose their integrity. How can a common established criminal preside over the law making organ of government? He is long gone. |

tomakint: The Law of the land is quite ambiguous, I am of the candid opinion that if this same CCB cum CCT can summon Tinubu (which he honoured and was docked) to come and clear his name which he successfully did, I wondered why Saraki, a serving Senate President should be running from pillar to post when confronted with the same oportunity to clear his name Truly, Saraki likes drama and he shall get it plenty 8) thank you sir |

What impudence and contempt of court!!! I have followed you for the last few days and have come to realise that to some degree at least, you have an unsound mind. chukwudi44: You people and propaganda!!! The battle to remove Saraki as Senate President through the courts is still a very very very long one. Saraki would challenge the CCT's jurisdiction to the supreme court before the trial proper even commences. After the trial, whatever unfavorable judgment would also be challenged to the supreme court. In the end four years would not be enough to prosecute this case.
Your celebrations are just too premature A fool at forty.................................. |
