EMPEROR OF DOLUSIA
The Emperor of Dolusia was in a meeting with his Head of Strategy, a man aptly called Ahitophel (Ahito to his friends), to review the recent elections that brought him to power, and to engineer his grip on power going forward.
Emperor of Dolusia : Ahito, those opposition voters, I think they are white nationalists.
Ahitophel : Your Majesty, I waited for you to figure that out yourself. That's what they are, every solitary one of them. And you must apply the last solution.
Emperor of Dolusia : (Visibly angry and screaming) Ahitophel, what do you mean apply the last solution? Are you advising me to kill all Dolusian opposition voters?
Ahitophel : Exactly, Your Majesty, but not homicidally. I'm advising you to kill them politically.
Emperor of Dolusia : (Looking relieved but still a bit confused) Ahito, cut out the riddles and give it to me straight. What do mean kill them politically, and how is that done?
Ahitophel : Your Majesty, if you got your enemy on the ground, and allow him to get up, he may even seem to have run away, but he's still liable to come back at you later, and do that even more strongly than before.
Emperor of Dolusia : So?
Ahitophel : Open-Border mass immigration is political/electoral genocide to the Right Party.
Erase the Border, let in the tsunami of migrants and drown the white nationalists in a sea of third world diversity. They will still cast the same votes in the future, but those will amount to like only 20% of total votes. Then you would have reduced the Right Party, by that action, to the Permanent Minority Party of Dolusia (PMPD). Your Majesty the last solution is so easy and simple you can do it sleeping (it is well known how the Emperor loves sleep).
Emperor of Dolusia : Libtard-Leftard-Son-of-Thunder...., Ahitophel, sometimes I envy you your wisdom. Why didn't I think of this myself?
Ahitophel : Your Majesty, why am I here? It's mine to do the strategies and Your Majesty's to do the Decrees, the Photo-Ops and the Politics. Going forth, let Your Majesty keep SAYING, "migrants don't come", but let your officials keep DOING, ''migrants welcome''.

Pure fiction and purely for entertainment.
When will you secure VISA to this Dolusia you keep disturbing us with?

imagine

More money means premier league teams can take good players from other leagues because they can pay more

It means better players

You are not very bright honestly
Player price inflation outstrips money increase. £23m that bought Ronaldinho in 2003 can't buy you Tyrone Mings today.

It's not a difficult concept to understand unless you are dumb as a dodo, and I gave several examples of better players who sold for ten times less back then. Other leagues also have increased money and more buyers of their players and won't accept peanuts like before. If you like earn N1m monthly today, you cannot afford to buy a house in VI like someone earning the equivalent in the 1990s or 1980s

Go and google again, mumu

The quality of EPL teams in general, not the big 4. But now, other smaller things have been equiped to compete slightly fairly to the bigger teams hence the improved quality of which I talk about.

What am I even saying... It should be glaringly obvious to you that the competition and quality of EPL has improved courtesy of TV right funds.
The more money does not necessarily translate into better players in comparison, all it means is players charge more for salary and other leagues charge more for transfer fees. Europa League performance is still a decent arbiter for the strength of the midtable.

Top players still go to top clubs and mid-level players still go to mid-level clubs. All those Tyrone Ming's, Matt Target and Matty Cash that Aston Villa paid £16-£30m from Championship are no different calibre to Joleon Lescott and Phil Jagielka that Everton paid £4m for in the 2000s. What of Sylvain Distin and Yobo for £4m? Distin and Lescott as LCB are better than Mings who cost £25m.

Aston Villa are now paying £35m apiece for the Championship best players in Ollie Watkins and Buendia while Spurs picked up Championship best players in Carrick and Defoe for £3m and £7m respectively. The best attacking midfielder in the Championship Tim Cahill will move to Everton for £3m then, today Buendia is costing £33m.

The £20m Villa paid for Traore who was not a sure starter in Lyon is no different than West Ham paying £3m for Freddie Kanoute or Fulham buying Louis Saha.

Spurs back then can pick up a UCL runner up and Bundesliga top striker like Berbatov for £11m, today it will cost £50m, or a Luka Modric for £16m that will cost £40m today. Where they pay £5m for Championships most promising left-back in Gareth Bale then, they are now paying £20m for Sessegnon who is not as good.

Croatia league top scorer and bonafide hitman like Viduka can come to Leeds for £4m, likewise a solid French DM like Olivier Dacourt for £7m who is better than most French DMs moving for £40m today.

Players like Ashley Young and James Milner who Villa would pick for £7m will be charged at £30m today.

Even back then, top legends like Fernando Hierro, Djorkaeff, Okocha and Ivan Campo come to Bolton to play their last three years, nowadays EPL can't afford their salary so they go to China, Qatar, USA.

In other words, the TV money has made no difference to the quality of the midtable. Top players still go to top clubs and midtable pay over the odds for what's left.

There is a difference between experiencing these things and revising them on Wikipedia.

I know for sure you can't be hitting 99 points regularly in EPL back then, much less both Liverpool and City taking 97 and 98 points in the same season. That just means the rest of the league is weaker, or too many teams are trying to be a poor mans Barcelona. Back then, teams like Bolton, Villa, Everton and co will scalp points off those teams with dogged performances, these days even relegation candidates are trying to play like Barcelona and taking 5-0 hammerings.

Added the goals to show the productive output of the team that according to were dominant, we can use the gap between 4th and 5th to measure the competitiveness of the league that season

it's a fair metric

2005
2 points

2006
8 points

2007
11 points

2008
9 points
Just because Chelsea became useless in this era to be finishing on 60 something points regularly allowing it to seem like there is competition for 4th place, don't get yourself confused. Teams like Leicester are only close because Chelsea became useless. They are no different from Spurs who make 60 something points in the 2000s and couldn't crack top four despite boasting the likes of Modric, Bale and Van Der Vaart. That's to show you EPL was no walkover then. EPL is worse now with top team like Man City making 97,98,99 points and still useless in Europe. If EPL was that good, they would not be struggling in Europe against Monaco, Lyon and co despite dominating EPL. EPL is a bunch of ninny teams now.

If the teams below top 4 in EPL are good now, why are Leicester, Everton, Spurs copping disgrace after disgrace in Europa League against their equivalent rivals in other European Leagues?

Mid to late 2000s were the most dominant era of English teams in Europe and my Chelsea was in the top two teams in England, end of story. This era Chelsea will be struggling with teams they are not supposed to be mentioned with on a normal day.

dominating the league when other teams were inferior and top 4 was a breeze for top teams

2005 72 goals

Top 4
Chelsea

Liverpool

2006 64 goals

Top 4
United
Chelsea
Liverpool
Arsenal

2007 65goals

Top 4
United
Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool

2008 68 goals

United
Liverpool
Chelsea
arsenal

Period of so called dominance coincided with the most stagnant top 4 qualification ever, the same teams were comfortably qualifying for champions league every season, they met inferior teams easily beat them

Lol, I enjoyed that hattrick that day o cheesy

How do you see Chelsea buying Hakimi £60m?

I feel as a right side player Hakimi, is quite good and as creative as Sancho, whom united are chasing for £70m-£80m, plus he has done it in two different teams, different leagues in merely a season in them. Pains me Madrid lost him.
Hakimi is not my priority at that price. I heard Traore is available for like £40m. Signing Traore can keep the 3-4-3 or play wings in a 4-3-3 for more flexibility while Hakimi reduces the options.

When improving a team, you start with the weakest area first. That's Jorginho and a striker as far as I am concerned before putting £60m in a wingback. Between James, Azpi and Livramento, I am not too concerned about that position.

The last time we went shopping in order to keep a 3-4-3 formation going, we had our most disastrous transfer window ever. That was the year we signed Zappacosta and Emerson as wimgbacks to keep the 3-4-3 going. Both were useless in a conventional back 4 when Sarri tried to switch the formation the following year. We also added Morata, Donkeyoko and Drinkbleach that year.

James body type is more suited to a central position. He is too big to make recovery runs after running down the wing. He does not have speed endurance to get back cos his body is too big for that. He has very good technique in shielding and passing the ball and that is evidenced by his secondary position as a DM. RCB will suit him fine, however I don't think that's our first priority. My own is when Jorginho is being replaced and when are we buying a striker

More than half of Havertz game was played as an attacking midfielder. Tuchel uses a 3-4-3 meaning 2 AMs and a Forward, Havertz missed 6games due to injury and 5 he didn't even come on, and there were games he had to be thrown out from.

Havertz played mostly has an AM, he also plays Forward as well, Havertz is a midfielder isn't he, so which 'off' position was he played in and for how long?

Mount is a midfielder, not an attacker and the reason was stated in my previous post, go, read it again and study it well.
Why answer that guy. Don't forget that Havertz scored hattrick against Barnsley in Carabao cup. That's a good portion of his return this season

Absolute rubbish. The only reason that team did not win more league titles was one reason only and that's Ronaldo at Man Utd. Soon as Ronaldo left in 2009, they won the next season.

If TV money explains their consistency in EPL, what explains their consistency in Europe?
