Lazyreporta:You clearly do not understand the word influential. What you claim of him are all just one contradictions after another. If we quote what Jesus say and what you Christians say about him you will see a clear difference of interpretation. Jesus never claimed to be to be begotten son of God. Even the bible shows how God had sons by the tonnes. check these ones out from your Bible. Genesis 6:2 that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. Believers As Sons Of God Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, Israel As Sons Of God Jeremiah 31:20 "Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? Indeed, as often as I have spoken against him, I certainly still remember him; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him," declares the LORD. 1 Chronicles 22:10 'He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.' 1 Chronicles 28:6 "He said to me, 'Your son Solomon is the one who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a father to him. Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD. Job 38:1-7 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, "Who is this that darkens counsel By words without knowledge? "Now gird up your loins like a man, And I will ask you, and you instruct Me! read more. "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding, Who set its measurements? Since you know. Or who stretched the line on it? "On what were its bases sunk? Or who laid its cornerstone, When the morning stars sang together And all the sons of God shouted for joy? Psalm 2:7 "I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Hosea 1:10 Yet the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered; And in the place Where it is said to them, "You are not My people," It will be said to them, "You are the sons of the living God." Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. |
Lazyreporta:The Qur'aan cleared the misconception held about him in many verses. Chief of which is that Jesus is not the son of God. He was born without any male intervention. He spoke to the people from the cradle as an infant defending his mother. God gave him the power to perform miracles of quickening the dead, healing those born blind and the lepers and telling people what they had in their house of food. He was not crucified or killed on the cross. He is a messenger and a prophet of God sent to the children of Israel. He commanded his people to worship one God (which is greatest of commandment in the bible which he said was the key to Salvation in the bible. Read Mark 12:28-30) He prophesied the coming Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) |
MrSensor:if mentioning of names is the bases for ranking somebody higher than the other using the Qur'aan do you know Pharaoh was mentioned more than Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) in the Qur'aan? See, let's cut this crap and say things the way they are. I believe in Jesus whole heatedly as the messenger and prophet of His Lord who sent him. I do not believe he (Jesus) is God nor my personal saviour .You better follow his way by becoming a Muslim whom the Comforter(Muhammad ,peace and blessings be upon him) has came to complete the message as the Last and final messenger of God almighty. |
Lazyreporta:Let's compare the teachings of Jesus and that of Muhammad (peace be up on them both) and see who amongst then as really influenced humanity, though we Muslims hold that they brought the same primary message of worshipping One God and following their way of worship. During Jesus life time we know from biblical reports that he did the following: Believing God sent him (read John 5:30) He believed he was a messenger of God(but you call him God) He did not do any miracle by himself (You will be surprised, even the resurrection of Lazarus proved that he did not do any miracle by himself) He never eat pig. He never built a church where he collects all forms of tithes and sowing of seeds. He never did songs of praises before or after preaching with choir masters and mistresses (which you people do in the name of God) He never asked for tithes from the congregation whether poor or not well to do. He never shook hands with women (which you people do in the name of God looks at the heart) He wore long flowing clothes( like we Muslims do wearing the kaftan or jalaabia) He kept his beard (You shave yours, which most pastors do) The teachings of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) are so numerous that I will cite a few well known ones. Worshipped one God(which we do) praying five times daily( which you know us for) he is messenger of God(which we all believe) Warned against fornication and adultery (which you all know us for) Kept his beard(which some Muslims do, but those who don't do it are not really committed) . Prohibited intoxicants for his followers (which you know us for, but some Muslims still do it out of imitation of you people or weak faith) He encouraged marriage(which you know us for,one can marry up to four wives) He warned against shaking the opposite sex(some Muslims do while other Muslims do not do it, but with some level of shame) . And bring all your Christain bethren together and the Muslims and compare them and come back to tell me the lies you have being spewing. |
Viicfuntop:Madam no vex. Muhammad(peace be upon me) is greater to me same way Micheal H hart said, same with Jules Masserman in Jewish psychologist, George Bernard Shaw British playwright and other unbiased Christian and Jewish scholars say. We are speaking objectively not through emotions or blind love. I am not fighting you madam, I am only correcting a misconception. Sorry ma, If I sounded out of place. It is just my passion for being objective that is what is driving me. |
MrSensor:This is the same problem I have with internet generated data. What about those who don't have access to internet facilities or even to this website? These persons named above Muhammad (peace be up on him)are no doubt known. We are talking about influence in character and ideology. In the world today we all know that Muslims don't condone fornication, imbibe alcohol, interest ,neglecting the five daily prayer, worship idols and all other acts which was clearly the influence and teachings of Muhammad (peace be upon him). The individualswho praised Muhammad(peace be upon him) above any other name are not Muslims neither did the Arabs bribed them .They came to their various conclusions out of their own volition. Using a website were only a limited number of persons out of the billions of individuals using the internet to come to such conclusion is not only shallow but lack the credibility of a well researched material in what is visible to all. Go to the interior villages of this world or go back to pre-internet times you will see the real oga in charge. All these spurious claims can only lift a fly were ignoramus abound like the ones on Nairaland who thinks elections are won by the number of likes one is able to garner. Try something else buddy, because this your claim won't sell. |
brainhgeek:Hmmmm... I can't believe this. |
arherfish:Do you know Elvis Presley? Anorld Schwzanegger? Pele Maradona and a history of others who well known today but not as influential as Prophet Muhammad (peace upon him) |
Tk4all:Popularity is different from influence. One maybe popular but not influential. Do you know how many leaders and presidents are taking after the teachings and to some extent the life style of Muhammad( peace be upon him) since time immemorial? Tell me one person that has influence humanity that objectively. Just one. |
MRSoftapples:We are talking serious issues here you are talking trash. He may be a popular musician but not influential as a human being. Influence is different from being popular or well known. I can name people who are as popular as Micheal Jackson. |
Tk4all:People who only come to Nairaland to get some education are making monstrous claims. You don't know the meaning of influence. If you do you will say it the way it is. |
Viicfuntop:It is really amazing how you think you know something only to reveal your ignorance on a grand scale. Do you know the reason why the name of Jesus and Moses(peace be up on them both) were mentioned in the Qur'aan? Do you know that a chapter is named after the mother if Jesus Mary(Mariam). If we were to play the name mentioning card,do you know the name of Jesus is less mentioned compared to that of the Devil(Iblis,Shaytaan). Christians need to start educating themselves lest they shoot themselves in the foot arguing about what they have zero knowledge about. |
post=70287164:He is no longer a human being that came to sacrifice his life for your sins? Why are you people fond of talking from. both sides of your mouth? Yesterday he was a human who 'died' for three days, today he is now the Lord that tasted death because of the sins of humanity. I can't seem to get you guys. Does God die? if the answer is no , then Jesus is not God because you say that God is everliving i. e one who can't undergo death. If Jesus 'died' then he is human not God, as we all know God can't and will never die. What about God becoming human? Read the book of Numbers 23:19 or there about. I |

Authoreety:Keep deceiving yourself. Jesus is no longer a human. But you Christains lie to us that he(Jesus) came as human and died and returned to being God. I most can't seem to wrap my head round this crude description because it quite unbiblical and full many fallacies and ambiguities. Sometime for you to be a Christian you just have to shut down your brain and reboot it. Read the statements from unbiased Non Muslims Michael H. Hart (1932- ) Professor of astronomy, physics and the history of science. q "My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level." Lazyreporta:It is so obvious the writer of this lacks objectivity in putting place in their right perspective. Go do a survey or an opinion poll about who his most jnflential in the world today and till the end. Jules Masserman said so a Jew. Micheal H hart (A Christian American) said the same in this book ''The 100'' Alphonso Lamarteeen said so in his book the history of the Turks. And many other reputable unbiased scholars of history and human psychology. The name that is called all round the world most is Muhammad. From Nigeria to Chad, From Japan to Pacau, From America to Palestine all around the world. His teachings and influence has held sway in most countries if the world. It is his teachings that are governing countries and his name is held in high esteem. The man whose teachings have influenced one quarter of the world his Muhammad(Peace and blessing be upon him) Without any doubt. resurgent2019:I am so angry right now with you blind hatred for Buhari . You choose to believe the lies that Buhari is a jihadist and all that. If not for some semblance of courtesy I hold I would have let out some unprintable words against you right now. You are so blind to fact that any argument with you is just a waste of time. Like my people would say:He went to study knowledge, but didn't study common sense. lest you think I am an Hausa Fulani,I am full breed born Edo guy. Butterfly0 to me reserve every right to pelt you with insults. Because I,for one do not personally like those who can't say things with fact. |
Ibukunmer:I don't really blame president Buhari. I like him as a person, but I think those around him are making it difficult for him to see the true picture of things happening. Buhari is honest as person, but the people around him are not sincere and trustworthy. To may not know this until you attain a position of high regard you will come to see what I am saying. |
TrueLEADER:I believe you so strongly that your voice does not go beyond Nairaland. This was how you all boasted that PDP would give APC a sicker punch but alas, it was reversed. Iginla or whatever he calls himself can keep lying to the rest of Christendom and those who choose to believe him. I personally do not believe in any prophesy done by any Alfa, Mallam, Shaykh or much less a Christian prophet or pastor. These people are liars . |
IamAirforce1:Nothing like English here sir. You have been caught several times with you wanton display of sexual misdemeanors instead of deflecting it(open fact about you) while not simply admit it that you did it in the past if you have truly changed. In other words, let him who has not sin be the first to cast the stone. |
OkaNaUbe:It was the first thing you mentioned. Religion has always been every one battering ram. Everything we say should be objective not subjective. |
Gossipninja:This man who claims to be 'communicating'with God is charlatan. Well, he needs more money to buy more sneakers, designers and flashy material things. |
weIMPORT:I am yet to see what these so called cultist have really gained in life. You live in fear(forget about the false sense of security they claim) They are always on the run because somebody just fell somebody. They are always looking behind their shoulders for fear of the unknown. Always suspecting different persons. Being a cultist is enough psychological prison itself. And I am. wondering if anybody can be attracted to that which causes constant discomfort. |
OkaNaUbe:Maybe the religion you practice does not show compassion and sympathy. Mine(Islaam)tells me saving just one human life is similar to saving the whole world(Qur'aan 5:32) Even humanity some of you try trump over religion does not come close to what my religion teaches me. Blame people's attitude not religion. |
internationalman:correction! |
CuTTiieAngeL:When a soon to be mother or mother(if you are married with kids) say this I only shake my head in disgust at the kind of kids these lot would bring to this world. Why don't you spread your nude all over Nairaland since it is something virtuous. Many indeed are mad few are roaming. |
EzendiEgo1:Oga, if your sisters and probably your mother did the same thing don't expect everyone to tow your rotten morally decrepit life style. learn to accept that we are different. If you are rotten don't expect everyone to tow that line. If you choose to eat dog faeces don't chastise me for having different view. |
internationalman:SMH. It is finished. These same persons after fornicating will go to church on Sunday and tell God to forgive their sins as if God is a child. This is why I don't take most people who claim to be Christians having girlfriends and boyfriends serious. Same old same old hypocrite. |
Issafela:This have made me believe more that this guy is no different from those god of men who claim God speaks and heal people through them This is a big shaytaan(Devil). |
omocalabar:You come online to make spurious claims when you don't really know what will happen in the future. This same Mehdi Hassan interviewed PMB sometime back. |
Deltayankeeboi:You are calling somebody a thief without proof. What about calling you a bigger liar since you have no proof. Your likes are the problem with Nigeria. I have no doubt people like maybe very well involved in lynching people just by your mere hate for somebody. |
