A lady has been hospitalised after suffering an unfortunate mishap in Nnewi area, Anambra state. According to Christabeler Akunna, she went to visit her friend when the accident happened which saw her injure badly after falling from a building.

It was revealed that the lady was chatting with her friend on the balcony of a two-storey building when she decided to rest on the rail not knowing it was not strong. Immediately she leaned on it, she fell from the building and broke her body parts including femur, patellar Jaw, teeth and ankles.

She was rushed to Nnewi Teaching Hospital where she received some treatment after she recovered from consciousness.

The lady who lost some tooth - ate liquid food for about four months and also went for local bone setting for five months, all to no avail.

Some Facebook users have reached out to the wounded lady in order to come to her aid.

Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Caretaker Committee Chairman, Ahmed Makarfi has insisted that the level of corruption under the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration was worst than PDP’s 16 years.

The former governor of Kaduna State and a presidential aspirant said the current level of corruption will not be known until APC leaves power.

Speaking with PDP leaders in Enugu, he claimed that the anti-graft war was weak under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration because it has been politicised.


Makarfi said, “By the time APC is kicked out in 2019, you will know that the corruption in the system now is even worse now than in PDP’s 16 years. It is usually difficult to investigate a government in power.
“But, I must tell you clearly that this government is corrupt. They keep saying PDP is corrupt, yet we established EFCC, ICPC etc, which showed our readiness to fight corruption from the beginning.”

Patrick Okumu-Ringa, who lost in the recently-concluded Nebbi Municipality Parliamentary election in Uganda, has dismantled all the boreholes he had sunk that have been supplying water to residents for the past twenty years.

For close to 10 years, Okumu-Ringa was Padyere County MP, but lost the seat to UPC’s late David Ringecan in 2006. Since then, he has tried to make a come-back in other elections in vain. During the NRM primaries, Okumu-Ringa lost to the new entrant, Suleiman Hashim. He, however, chose to run as independent, claiming his defeat during the primaries was as result of rigging.

In the recent election, Okumu-Ringa came third after securing 1,270 votes out the 9,940 total votes cast. He lost to Hashim, who scored 4,283 votes, with FDC’s Robert Onega coming second with 4,159 votes in the highly-billed election.

Okumu-Ringa confirmed to Sunday Vision that he had indeed dismantled the boreholes, adding that he had no regrets for his action. He, however, said at an appropriate time, he would reconcile with residents and assemble the boreholes. ; “I am hurt, but I will reconcile with them. However, for now, let them look for water elsewhere. Our people are not appreciative. All I wanted from them was votes. I have educated so many children, but all they tell me is I have done nothing,” he said.

Asked whether he was hurting the Government he once served, Okumu-Ringa said the Government should instead pay him for supplying free water to citizens. “I don’t think the Government should be offended. I used my money to sink the boreholes, and in any case, even National Water and Sewerage Corporation doesn’t supply free water.

There was serious drama in the Southern part of Nigeria as a woman who recently put to bed was caught selling her body.

A suspecting husband (names withheld) has caught his wife who just delivered a set of twins in alleged act of prostitution along the popular Enerhen junction, the commercial nerve center of Warri, Delta State.
It was not clear if the lady, who just delivered twins about two months ago, was already involved in the unholy business before she got married to her hubby.


The lady, who hails from a suburb near Warri metropolis, created a scene when she was caught by her suspecting husband, who trailed her to her mother’s house from where she dumped the two-month-old twins and took a bus to Warri to hunt for customers at the popular Enerhen junction, unaware that her husband was just a pole behind as she journeyed to her hustling ground.


Findings by news men revealed that the lady has been sneaking out of her matrimonial home, under the pretence of visiting her aunt, to ply her sexual trade at Enerhen junction until she got pregnant and delivered the twins.
This time around, she left the house under the pretence of visiting a friend indebted to her in Warri with a promise to returned by 6am the next day.


The said husband was surprised when he eventually saw his wife arrive Enerhen junction, changed dresses to highly skimpy ones for the commencement of her prostitution work at a very cheap rate.


The husband quickly dashed to the Enerhen Police station and returned with some police women to effect the arrest of his almost n*de wife. It was also learnt that the parents of the lady were sent for by the police to come with the twins to meet their daughter face to face clad in her prostitution regalia.


Shocked, the lady’s mother confirmed that her daughter usually leaves her husband’s house to Warri several evenings even before her delivery but never for once thought that she was rushing to Warri for s*x trade.
A Police source, who craved anonymity, told a correspondent that the lady who was detained for three days, was bailed by the same husband because of the kids who seriously needed their mother’s attention.
