In Nigeria when armed bandits are arrested, you keep hearing "locally made" all the time.

The black market.....
I don't think so because it's not that common. According to Wikipedia, it is used only by Singapore, Indonesia and Nigeria.

TV was showing youths laying down arms in the Ondo amnesty programme and I swear on Schnapps I saw not one but more CIS-50MG!! shocked What the heck!! How did they get that?
Most likely from the Nigerian military. There were allegations that they supplied militants with arms but the investigation by DSS was kept hush-hush.

Just checked on Wikipedia. Didn't know Algerian has 15 S300. was thinking around 5 to seven at most. But (FIFTEEN). God how I wish any black African country will go on arms spending spree (even if it's South Africa grin) maybe that will force the rest to follow suit.

I disagree with your statement that Turkey is at par with Israel....Algeria would have been a better alternative to compare Turkey...not Israel

Then research more about Turkish Armed Forces. And Algeria? No offense to Algerians but Turkish military over Algeria any day any time bro.

Never said you were a ret@rd, I said it was a ret@rded comment...... much like your pro black Nazi's comment a while back. anyway not going to debate this with you.

But i will leave you with this: The most powerful militaries (USA, Russia, UK, Israel ect ect) in the world allow gays to join, those that don't are mostly sh1t hole third world countries or Middle Eastern countries.
I can't help but notice your omission of China and Turkey in the list of most powerful militaries (and gays are not allowed). I reckon China more powerful than Israel and and Turkey is on par with Israel. And just because the so called powerful militaries allow gay to serve does not everybody have to do it. And serving gays do not make those militaries more powerful and gays not serving do not make Third World and Middle East countries "shithole"

I also read that somewhere, although I can't remember where, so can't really confirm. Anybody got any info on this?
Finally somebody figured it out, I ve been going through this posts and I swear I ve heard enough of super tucano to last me a life time. Stolen funds were stashed on an island belonging to US, arrangements have been made to transfer the money to Nigeria but US blocked it saying the money is in dollars so they have a claim on it (absurd) we fought tooth and nail then they changed tactics saying unless they or IMF or World Bank are allowed to "manage the money for us" (presumptuous) to avoid mismanagement, it will not be released. So we are virtually paying zero naira for 12 tucanos with infrastructure, training, guided munitions e.t.c. a favourable deal in my opinion.

You are kidding right? If we so much as think of joining, CAN will cry foul heaven and earth about Islamization agenda just because GMB is a Muslim. Besides, Nigeria has a strict policy of not choosing sides. The coalition is a show of force towards Iran and we have a strong diplomatic relations with them (most of the time)

Respect to those who died, but this terror problems could not have happened at a better time. Almost all the militaries in Africa (except few countries) are literally non existent. But I think we can all agree that almost every military in Africa has improved one way or another because of these terrorists. Imagine these terror attacks beginning ten years from now, talk about disaster. Just hope we can maintain the momentum after.

I'm saying I live in the real world where Egypt can't resolve this militarily.
Correct. But we are not talking of "resolve" we are talking of military engagement. Every conflict goes: "tensions, escalation, military engagement, hundreds or thousands killed, peace talks, conflict resolved". Peace talks always resolve conflicts but that has not stopped us humans from fighting before.

Technically they have the capacity to destroy the dam but with a construction cost of $6.4 billion of which the Ethiopian government only provided counterpart funding for....
basically I’m saying foreign investors won’t sit by while Egypt turns their billion dollar investment into rubble.
A valid point. But I am curious, what can "foreign investors" do to stop Egypt as a country, they might refuse to invest in Egypt for a example, but there are other investors who will be willing.

Why not? Egypt is just a football player with quality jerseys and boot, but with no or poor talent. We Ethiopians had kicked their ass twice in the 19th century AD and this was the primary consequences for them to be colonized by British. So, why not do it again for a 3rd time if they beg us? grin

Ethiopia don't want war, but Egypt wants. Defense is easier than attack, so we will take care of them.
"19th century" this is the 21st century, Ethiopia was very powerful then even the British were wary of them. But currently Egypt has without a doubt the best military in Africa, good Jersey and boots and very talented too. "Meaning they are well trained". Of course there is always a weak point (as somebody said earlier) but I don't think Ethiopia can stand Egypt toe to toe. (MY OPINION)

You see reason why you don't blame World Internal Security And Police Index (WISPI) for the ranking.
Personally, I think the ranking is good for us, this administration will now focus on the police just like the military, they should also sack the current Chief, apart from one scandal to another, I don't see him doing anything to improve the police unlike his predecessor.
