disassembling it the day after delivry grin
I once read about rivalry between Algerians and Moroccans but I didn't take seriously, but from how you vehemently refute the claim of s400, I should have taken it seriously, good thing there's no Moroccan here or the occasional melt downs would have been twice as worst... wink

The Nigerian Navy (NN) on Saturday inaugurates 20 new patrol boats at NNS DELTA in Warri, Delta. The Acting Director of Information, Naval Headquarters, Navy Capt. Suleiman Dahun, made this known in a statement in Abuja. According to Dahun, the boats comprised 16 locally built Epenal boats and four Rigid Hull Inflatable boats, imported from...cough....cough... South Africa.

What's the use of ONE drone and ONE seaward defence boat, if there's not enough money, why not concentrate on one this year then the other next year? and as if that's not frustrating enough, DSS are getting THREE, THREE different rifles: CTAR, TAR AND X95, why not just use one uniformly? Nigerian mentality nawaooo.

Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo is set to unveil the statue of another African president, weeks after a national outrage over the unveiling of a multi-million naira statue of President Jacob Zuma of South Africa. Newsmen in Owerri report that Okorocha’s latest statue, a monument of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia, is scheduled to be unveiled on Nov. 9.
Kim Jon Un is scheduled for Nov. 31 and Robert Mugabe Dec. 20.... grin

OFF TOPIC:
The FPSO Egina has departed the Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) shipyard in Geoje, South Korea, and is in transit to Nigeria for topsides module integration and commissioning.
The voyage is estimated to take three months.
In 2013, SHI won the $3-billion contract for the turn-key project in which Samsung covered engineering, procurement, construction, transport, and commissioning.
The FPSO is 330 m (1,083 ft) in length, 61 m (200 ft) across, and 34 m (112 ft) high, with a storage capacity of 2.3 MMbbl of oil and topsides weighing 60,000 tons.
The vessel is to be installed at the Total-operated Egina oil field in 1,750 m (5,741 ft) of water, 130 km (81 mi) offshore.
The Egina FPSO project is under the Nigerian local content regulations, and a portion of the topsides fabrication and integration is to be completed in Nigeria. Scheduled delivery is expected in the second half of 2018.
SHI formed a joint venture (SHI-MCI) with a Nigerian local company and established a production facility in Lagos, Nigeria, to meet the local content requirements. The 120,000-sq m (1.3 million-sq ft) yard has construction and painting facilities as well as a 500-m (1,640-ft) long quay.
SHI-MCI has constructed topsides modules for Egina since June 2015

Hundreds of fleeing residents have returned to Gulak in Madagali Local Government area after soldiers repelled a massive attack following heavy fighting..

Daily Trust gathered that large number of armed insurgents who thronged the town at about 6:30 am on Monday engaged the military in fierce battle that lasted for four hours, causing residents to flee their homes amid explosions and gun fire.

Some of the displaced residents said they had returned to their homes around 11 pm after news broke that the insurgents were successfully repelled from the town.

" We have just returned home to find that one of our female relatives was killed by stray bullet.while we were hiding in the bush. We are grateful,to the military for their effort, we had all thought the town was lost when we saw Boko Haram boys taking over position and the explosion and gunfire, we thank God ", a resident told our reporter on telephone.

Sources indicated that the assailants were rolled back after soldiers and equipment were quickly drafted from neighboring towns in Northern Adamawa and Southern Borno..

The Madagali Local Council chairman, Muhammad Yusuf who spoke to Daily Trust earlier confirmed an on going battle between the Nigerian military supported by local hunters and the insurgents.

Details about casualty is not yet known but sources indicate that three soldiers and a number of the attackers lost their lives.

Major Badare Akintoye, the spokes person of the 28 Task Force Battalion in Mubi did not answer calls from our reporter.as at the time of filing this report.

The attack came 48 hours after two male suicide bombers sneaked in to the area and blew up themselves at a house on the outskirt of Gulak, killing two civilians.in the process.

Madagali, which was liberated from Boko Haram in 2015 is lying on the border with Borno State, the epicentre of Boko Haram uprising and Cameroon Republic. The area is surrounded by bushes that connect to Sambisa Forest which is the main hide out of the insurgents.
