GeneralFarouq: China know what it doing... They don't want some bastard to put the money in his or her pocket... They are careful China has a record of turning a blind eye to corruption in Africa. I am sure that once this money is released to Nigeria, there will be no follow up by Chinese officials, they will not check whether the money was used for it's intended purpose or not. Which is why I honestly prefer donations from America/Europe. especially monetary (even though their meddling can be overboard at times) , they do try to keep our politicians honest. |

So what is your point My point is you guys lied. And by the way I came across this accidentally, I was reading about boomplay report on Kenya when I saw it. If that's what you called obsessed then I guess I am obsessed with Kenya's debt then. SMH |

TayserMahri: Well I dont care actually. All I care is that you lazy bones had your debt forgiven. USA, Japan, India, China, South Africa, Kenya have never had our debts forgiven because we are not foolish like you. Whatever conditions you met for forgiveness have everything to do with you being miserable and worthy of mercy. No you are not foolish like us. You are more foolish than us to allow your external debt to outstrip your local debt. Did you mention those countries to make the list sound "prestigious"? To give you a sense of belonging? You know, like you belong to a prestigious group of countries that has never had their debt forgiven? I assure you Kenya is not either of those countries. If your creditors will write off your debt right now, you guys will accept without thinking twice about it. Fact. Anyway, keep living in self denial, it's your problem, not mine. My last say on the matter! |

He said Abacha built Abuja(it became capital in 1991,Abacha became president 1993)
He said Abacha is from North East while he is from Kano in North west
He said Lagos is the capital of Lagos State
He said benue is in southern Nigeria
He Nigerians does not shop online
He said state budget is inside federal budget of Nigeria
He said we have a southern arm and a northern arm
He said hausas sold slaves to the Americas
He was talking banking asset when he doesn't understand simple accounting equation of Asset = capital/equity + liabilities. No wonder he wanted a bank asset that doesn't include bank deposit(liabilities)
If such person is any where close to anything genius then you must have cerebral palsy He said there are more Kenyans in Ivy Leagues than Nigerians He measures music revenue per capita He measures road km per capita He measures rail km per capita He gave us a fraudulent list of Kenyan companies in Nigeria. He said nigerian banks in Kenya are running at loss only for me to prove him wrong. He said 90% of Nigerians bleach He said lupita gross more than Nollywood per year He said Kenyans are more competitive than Nigerians only for me to show him that we have more local companies than Kenya. Oh he is a genius all right. Just a Kenyan genius! |

TayserMahri: Tanzania cannot handle the cargo volume that goes through Mombasa because their ports would come to a standstill.
Nigeria was in a debt crisis thats why your debt was forgiven. They usually forgive Heavily Indebted Poor Countries like you n Tanzania. Kenya is not in a debt crisis except in the eyes of armchair economists. Stop making a Fool of yourself and read why Nigeria's debt was forgiven. There are countries poorer than Nigeria who were not forgiven And stop saying our debt was forgiven. A percentage of our debt was forgiven! Not all. |

rvp20183: According to Bollore - Tin Can annual capacity is mere 650,000 annually and as usual your Nigeria ports source cannot tell jack - and claim it has 3.9M capacity - DO YOU EVEN understand what that mean. Why are you PORTS SO CONGESTED IF YOU HAD 4 times the capacity of the current usage.
Why again are you building LEKKI DEEP SEA PORT - if you already have 4 times the capacity - in the Lagos Apapa & Tin Can.
You idiots NEED to go back to schools. Your total port capacity is 1.5M - and you're really struggling - because if Oil boom - you'll be at 100% capacity - leading to the usual congestion and chaos - that see containers take even a month to meander it's way outside the port. Lagos port complex is congested because over 10,000 containers have been abandoned and poor roads NOT because it's operating at full capacity. Lekki deep seaport is a private project by a Chinese company who are also the developers of Lekki free trade zone. Lagos State government as strategic partner owns only 40% of the venture. |

rvp20183: Why do you try lying in the information age? The two seaports in Lagos – the Lagos Port Complex Apapa and the Tin Can Island Port Complex – have been jointly listed among the top 500 container ports in the world. The ports, according to a survey released by the World Top Container Ports, have a combined capacity of 1.5 million TEU. Now your turn. Show me from Kenyan port authority where it states the capacity of Mombasa port. Unless they don't keep such records? I checked their site and it was sh*te by the way. |

rvp20183: Mombasa capacity about 1.6M TEUS. When current expansion is completed - it will be around 2.2M in 2023 - around 2.65million TEUs - that is where likes of Durban are. Mombasa now handles 1.2M TEUS annually -and more than 30M metric tonnes. Lagos port complex alone has a capacity of 3.9m teu. Fact. |

rvp2018: You cannot service debts with revenues levels that you have. That is why you've been in debt crisis before and have had whooping 18B dollars just written off. Kenya if it didn't have debt crisis in 90s - cannot have it now - when economy is firing on all cylinders. Whatever you say. You are the economist. |

tylann: Are you consoling yourself Who told you we are in debt cisis ? We are paying our debts and we are not struggling Your are jealous of our port mombasa because no nigerian port can handle half of the capacity mombasa port handles continue dreaming of china taking our port citizen of the world poverty capital And we are building another port in lamu Jealous will kill you citizen of world poverty capital There is nothing to be jealous about. Apapa port in Lagos has an install capacity of 1.2million teu per year. Handles 25million tons of cargo per year. What is that of Mombasa? Anyway even if Mombasa handles more than apapa, that's because you have no other option. Apart from Mombasa port which other active port do you have? Compare these two pictures and tell me why I should be jealous.

TayserMahri: You dumb nigga. Nigeria had to be forgiven $18 billion debt and you're making noise over Kenya that has never had its debt forgiven. And even after being forgiven you still accumulated more debt. You have serious mental issues. We are not in the same league. You might as well have your second debt forgiven again. Oh and don't worry about our debt. 70% is local unlike yours where more than 50% is foreign. There is something called borrowing smartly after all. Again which just highlights the different capacity of our banking sectors. Which is why I laughed in Swahili when a certain idiot want to measure Bank assets per capita. |

Say what you want smart nigga. The fact remains Kenya is in debt crisis, more than Nigeria. A certain percentage of our debt was written off because of some major reforms done by the government. If your government can do the same, maybe yours will be written off too. If not, prepare to build another port because China is coming for Mombasa port. (or you can use Tanzania's port for a fee). The ball is in your court smart nigga. |
