barineh:Dude are you serious? From farmers/herders clashes to Islamization of Nigeria to North/South divide to NIA DG and now to PMB secondary school certificate. "sigh" Between you and whatever you believe in, can you sincerely look at Buhari and say "this man did not have degree talk less of finishing secondary school"? Did you read what you wrote, you are implying that PMB is sponsoring BH And how many times do I have to tell you that there is no islamization agenda in Nigeria. Nigeria is officially a secular democratic country, it is fvcking written in the constitution, for that to change, NASS must approve. You have to ask NIA DG why he hasn't debunked the rumours. On the issue of Military Head Chiefs, IMO it has nothing to do with marginalization but everything to do with protecting themselves. The Issue of coups and counter coups is still fresh in their mind, so they choose somebody who is the least likely to betray them. OBJ did it, Jonathan, Buhari, they all did it. And I don't think it's going to change until when they are all gone. (IBB, PMB, OBJ, Gowon, Abdulsalami and all their ilk) Point of correction: I am not from the North, well at least not North as in "North" if you understand what I mean. ![]() And please let's stop this discussion because I am sure some some people here are beginning to imagine what we will look like plastered to a wall, with the military ones imagining our face in shooting range. Lastly, please don't bother to quote me again because even if you do I will try not to reply (I might fail because for some reason I am really enjoying this ) but I will try really really hard even if I have tie my hands. Official apologies for derailing the thread guys. |
barineh:From the article "He alleged that Mr. Abubakar failed examinations preceding his appointment." Like I said earlier "alleged". And how did he know all these, NIA reports only to the president and is the most secretive organization in all security agencies in Nigeria. He might be right (after all this is Nigeria) but from the known facts, the current NIA DG is qualified. And Of course it has to be Isah Misau. The same senator who said there is a conspiracy to remove the Senate President. The same senator who was docked for bribery. The same senator who was charged to court for forgery. The same senator who said the IGP sleeps with policewomen. The most controversial senator after Oga Dino. "sigh" really? Damn, I am enjoying myself. I think I should go back and study law, I just keep debunking whatever you came up with. Bring it on bro. ![]() |
barineh: WTF did I just read, dude forget staying away from politics section, you need to throw your phone or laptop or whatever you are using into the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean, stay away from nairaland for the rest of your life. On a serious note, everything you said about NIA DG is "alleged" nobody has been able to prove what you just said. But we can all confirm these: He is a retired career foreign service officer. He has B. A in French, M. A francophone/maghrebian literature (did it occur to you that Nigeria is surrounded by francophone countries?) He served as SSA to president on foreign/international affairs. Senior Adviser to MNJTF in Chad. Speaks French and Arabic fluently (Arabic is spoken in Mali, Niger, Chad because of majority Muslim population). Everything I just mentioned practically screamed "qualified". You know just forget, I thought I was speaking to someone who can form a valid argument. |
iblawi:Spotted. The new generation of conspiracy theorists in Nigeria. This is what I meant when I said "you are not one of those who think the Fulanis are out to complete what Usman Dan Fodio started, are you?". The farmer/herder crisis is just what it is "farmer/herder crisis". There is no ulterior motive here. No islamization or fulanization or Emirization of Nigeria. Good, since you are using south in general, let's take a look at Jonathan's security cabinet. NIA: South COAS: South CAS: South CDS: South Defense (state): South DSS: South CNS:North Defense: North NSA: North Fact: Since NIA was formed from now dissolved NSO back in 1986, this is only the third time that a notherner is appointed DG. Now if this has been a thread where there are only Nigerians, I wouldn't have bothered to reply you, but there are foreigners here and I noticed that most foreigner's perception of Nigeria is formed around the South's opinion because notherners are not active on the internet like their southern counterpart. And lest I forget, take a break away from the politics section in Nairaland, too much of it can make you think downside up. |
kenpaul0:Sorry, just confirmed, he proposed ranching but the problem is the implementation of anti grazing law before the ranches were established. The herdsmen are to buy the lands themselves, get C of O, as a Nigerian you know how tedious the process is, they complained the timeframe is too short yet he refuses to extend passing the bill into law. And really? Sambisa forest? But Pointing fingers isn't going to bring back the dead or restore damaged properties, let's just hope they sort this mess out. |
iblawi:To be clear, my arguments here are for for the innocent herdsmen. (unless of course if you believe all herdsmen are killers). Here is what I don't understand, Gov. Ortom rejected ranches, colonies (which I will like to point out are just bigger ranches) I also watched on YouTube he told Aljazeera that there is no land in all of Benue for herdsmen. Is he saying all of them should leave Benue? What solutions did he propose to curb these conflicts? (I am genuinely curious). And again when speaking of the North, specify which part of the North you are referring to. The north is as diverse as the south. And for you to say there is not differences between Hausa and Kanuri shows just how ignorant you are about north. The only thing they have in common is religion (unless if that's what you are referring to when you keep saying north) |
M14A1:I meant "heavy-handed" as in slow in taking actions. But whatever makes you happy dude. |
iblawi:You are not one of those who think the Fulanis are out to complete what Usman Dan Fodio started, are you? The farmer/fulani conflict have been going on for almost a century now. Agreed it has never been bloody as this but still, To say PMB didn't take action because he's one of them is ridiculous, PMB have always been heavy handed in making decisions. And I like how you say North as if it's not divided like the south. |
abiodunalasa:This one Na Three much Hollywood. ![]() Nigeria do not have enough shilka and MI 17 lying around for what you said to be possible. |
tdayof:If it's the Chinese, I will pass. |
Someone mentioned about privatization of Dicon. The trick is to sell enough stake that they will be concerned how the company is run but not enough for them to have actual power or influence. Somewhere about 40-45% should be enough. |
frumentius:True, but the list was compiled late 2015, so when the appointments were confirmed 2017, they didn't go through the list again hence the mistake (that's their excuse). |
Sheun001:what facts? |
CELEBRITIZ:"Although naturally right-footed, due to his ability with either foot, he is capable of playing anywhere along the front line, on either flank, or through the centre of the pitch: throughout his career, he has been deployed as a supporting striker, as a winger, as a false-9, and even as an attacking midfielder; he has recently also been used in a more advanced, central role, as a main striker" From Wikipedia. He scored more than 20 goals from central role last season in all competition. |
CELEBRITIZ:Sanchez can play any position in forward (even false 9) he played 11 in Barcelona, 7 and 10 in Arsenal. |
Fun fact: Paul Pogba with only 13 pl games has 9 assists while KDB has 9 assists after 23 pl games. |
[quote author=Nelsizzy post=64231326]Gooooaaaal Martial Pogba with his ninth assist this season. Who is De Bruyne? [/quote Pogba's younger brother from our "noisy neighbours" |
Manchester United have started again ooo, they always relax when they score! |
Tomoyayi:That's what Michael said, besides he has never scored with left. Maybe he meant kick as in "shoot" ![]() |
Interesting stat: this is only the 6th time Antonio Valencia has kicked the ball with his left foot in his entire Manchester United career -Michael Meagher. |
Lingardinho to score |
obonomaa:Middle East in in Asia. |
Xbee and slimthug trying to educate some ingrates on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/4289403/naf-takes-delivery-final-batch I am crying and laughing at the same time. Somebody said we should go for F22, another said they are old, the next was "we should go rafale and dassault though he spelt it as "dassol" the other one was "what the US use for training it's pilots is what we are using as fighter jet" Somebody even went as far as "its an APC propaganda", someone said they are meant for "tourist" someone completely missed the road to his village and went from arguing about the planes to Nigerian economy, slimthug got fed up, just said OK and left. (though I have to say he tried) . Xbee still trying sha. |
