This is so messed up.How can Mikel score?! |
Fulham are starting to buckle now. Ramires convinced he should have had a penalty and it certainly looked like he had a case. Hazard and Oscar really starting to warm to the task after a quiet first half. Jol is the manager on his feet with Mourinho looking a little more relaxed…maybe a bit more than he should.Fulham can still snagg something |
Stuppid Fulham goalkeeper. |
For all Chelsea’s possession they have never really threatened to unlock Fulham in the opening 45 minutes. The visitors are defending well as a unit and making good interceptions to nullify danger while Sidwell and Parker are doing an admirable job of screening their back four. Whether Fulham can keep it up in the second half is another matter but while it remains goalless there is always the threat they might nick something on the counter. Sure as eggs is eggs, Mourinhoshould be looking for more of a cutting edge after the break although they nearly found a way through with a minute to go before the break, Ivanovic’s strike well saved by Stockdale. What they need is a player with a bit of magic in his boots…someone like Mata Gaskia: Why is no one taking shots from outside the box? Why are we not having crosses from the flanks? We are trying to initiate all attacks from the centre, playing too narrow and easy to defend. Schrulle's corner kicks either too low or too high. |
afanide: To my fellow Fulham fans in d house, HIP...HIP...HIP.......... HURRAH!Huuuuurrraaaayyyyyy!!! |
HALF TIME: Chelsea 0 Fulham 0 A smattering of boos around Stamford Bridge,Moroninho is such a looser. |
Nothing came of the corner but Fulham are finding themselves in the Chelsea half more often now. Bent looks like he's in the mood to roll one of the two centre-halves given the chance. |
Chelsea need more runners from midfield and Ramires is providing exactly that. He saw a shot blocked for a corner which ended in Edin Hazard volleying over. |
What's the Mata? LMFAO!! Oscar has been uncharacteristically quiet. He's coming deeper and deeper for the ball as Chelsea struggle to break Fulham lines. They do have a free kick on the edge of the box now though - Kasami the guilty party again. |
Darren Bent is a beast keeping Terry and Cahill on their toes. He's not had a lot of the ball but is keeping very busy. |
No surprise that Chelsea are bossing this in terms of possession but unlocking Fulham is proving beyond Chelsea even though they are looking increasingly dominant. Jol’s players are doing a good job of winning the 50/50 balls.Fulham will be happy so far with proceedings. |
There's absolutely no suggestion that Chelsea fans would be behind Jose Mourinho, but they're showing it with plenty of banners. Corner to the Blues. That was close by rami. |
Looked like a clear push on Hazard by Riether, meanwhile the lengthy treatment for Ramires after a heavy fall in the box allows Mourinho to pass on some detailed instructions to Schurrle. Either one of Chelsea’s wide attacking midfielders will be eager to please given the reinforcements and what has happened to Mata. |
Oscar is already doing a bit of tracking back, the Brazilian is doubtless acutely aware of what happens to players if they don’t pitch in - even if he is Mourinho’s favourite. |
Fulham are looking lively on the break and Darren Bent was set clean through. But the striker could only strike straight at Cech and should have done better. Jol's side could easily be two up here! |
David Luiz looks very frustrated sat just yards away from Mourinho. Seems a strange decision to leave him out. |
