This is some remarkable feat. Braindumps or not, it's remarkable. I just hope the Nigerian IT atmosphere will be favourable enough such that when he's older, he'll be able to contribute his quota. Such lads usually end up abroad helping to develop another country. Hope we won't lose this one to Brain Drain.

@lawyerchap

i disagree with you here though

unless you all had your TV's tuned off, Timi did not perform upto par at all, he took the pitch way to high for his voice and some parts of the song you couldn't hear him. He just feels all his songs so well that the audience doesn't hear all that. remember he was in the bottom five

then jerrilyn, its sentiment that's keeping her, voice wise when she finally opens her mouth its almost like she's playing safe. all her performances are the same. For someone who could perform in hotpants then why is she so shy!
I agree with u salsera. Immediately I heard Timi start that song, I knew the key was too high for him. Although his overall performance was still one of the best. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

You can put google adsense in your blog. To know how adsense works, google for "adsense". To add it to your blog, log into your account and the click on manage layout. Click on add a page element and you'll see adsense as one of the options.

Thanks for your contributions. I have decided I will switch to shares after reading your replies. But I know of few banks who are selling shares right now. I tried accessing the NSE earlier today but I am have a Gateway err. I will keep trying. For now if you still have more infos to help I will be glad to go through them.

Thanks for refering me to the Blog "Icon". It is helpful.
Thanks once again.

Ciao
Nazzyon Good Decision. You can check www.stockmarketnigeria.com for some info on the stock market. I can't do without that site.
Loverbwoy, Ndipe, thanks for checking out my blog and thanks for the comments.

I intend to invest in the Zenith Banks Fixed Deposit but first I like to know anything relating to investing in Zenith Bank. I want to have an idea before going to the bank.

I was advised to go to the bank but I know that the bank will only convince me to join. I will be glad if anyone can assist.
Nazzyon, I totally agree with funloving. Most fixed deposits won't give you more than 5% per annum which is much lower than the present inflation rate so in the long run, your money's losing value. You'll be better off investing in the stock market or into managed funds. IBTC Equity fund and ARM discovery fund will give you good returns. I have an article that might be of help available on my blog. Cheers.

First decide which OS will be the host and which will be the guest. Then google, you'll find many answers.

For me, that would depend on a number of things. But it could range from N0 to N25000
Music/Radio / Re: Do You Create Musical Beats? by Icon(m): 11:27pm On Mar 22, 2007
I used to use fruity loops but now I use reason. BTW, do you know Aaliyah's Try again produced by Timbaland can be replicated 95% in fruity loops? The only thing you might not find is the "shalow" sounding snare used by Timba.

I'm sorry i'm just replying this Walelead. I actually typed out a response and submitted but I'm surprised i'm not seeing it here. I believe the same rules go for the pool but I'm not sure about the club. Pool is about N500 per game.

No registration required. Once you have bowling partners, just go ahead and pay and you can start bowling. If i remember correctly, it's about N700 or N800 per game.

@icon,
Can you give the exact details of the Bowling alley in Abuja please. I love bowling men
I was there sometime last year with some friends. It's quite a standard lane, and it's situated in a club. There were also pool tables and a bar. I believe Abuja should be able to give more details though

dblock:

I believe there is already a bowling alley in Lagos. It's in some Residential estate in V.I, I'm not sure if it's open to outsides though
Interesting! I must find out about it ASAP.

What other parties are contending in Ibadan?
Travel / Re: Ice Skating In Nigeria: At Silverbird Galleria by Icon(m): 5:43pm On Mar 17, 2007
I was there yesterday and it's so not cool. There was no one in the "rink". It's just a small white surface , like the size of 2 boxing rings. Absolutely nothing to write home about.

dblock:

What's so good about an Icerink if I may ask

I'd prefer
more bowling alleys for Nigeria
more retail facilities
more Gaming arcades
Theme parks
etc.
walelead:

id prefer a a good government first cheesy

then maybe a shooting range and a paintabll centre

I'm in full support. Frist a good government, and all the rest will come. BTW, I would really love if we could have a bowling lane in Lagos. I was at the one in Abuja and it was really cool. I would pick bowling over skating any day.

Alright, it's probably a problem with the forum script. Are you sure it's not a blacklisted site LOL. You could try spelling it out like www(dot)sitename(dot)com. It'll probably show then.

Don't waste your time men. There's no such thing as free lunch. You could get free subdomains - www.yourname.theirname.com but you can't get www.yourname.com. You can get free hosting, but usually they'll put adverts on your site.

Razorr:

Icon, that's a very good idea! Witches West Africa! However, I disagree with the part about the judges o! I want to be the chief judge! grin We need to find sponsors though. I would talk to my friends in Naija Breweries and a couple of other places. Someone has to foot the Media bills and the Cash prize! wink

OK, as long as I'll be the presenter. I'll be the one to announce the results.
Politics / Re: The Nigerian Press Are Complete Disgrace To The Nation by Icon(m): 9:11am On Mar 13, 2007
It's not the fault of the Press. Many times they are bullied by those in power. Look at what happened to Godwin Agbroko. I still don't know what to make of it.
Politics / Re: Atiku Is A Traitor by Icon(m): 9:01am On Mar 13, 2007
You guys should stop talking like Atiku's wrong and Obasanjo's right. For example, if an armed robber leaves a robbery gang and starts telling everyone about his gang's activities, is he a traitor? It doesn't mean the gang is innocent. It also doesn't mean he is innocent.

The two of them are corrupt. PERIOD!!!
Religion / Re: How To Fly To China As A Witch? by Icon(m): 12:56am On Mar 13, 2007
Na wa for Tornadoz o. I think say na joke before o. It seems he's really serious. If you notice, he's only replying those who seem to be giving him some answers.

Anyway, Razorr & Mukina, I like your idea! I have another proposition. Let's make it a reality show. "Witches West Africa" would be appropriate as a follow up to Idols west africa) We'll have 3 judges. I nominate Ikamefa grin, Snazzy and 1 wizard and we'll have Auditions in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Ghana. Wetin una think?
Music/Radio / Re: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by Icon(m): 10:02am On Mar 12, 2007
1. Eric - tight performance. Started low and built up the feel along the song
2. Oluwadolapo - Wrong song, wrong key for her voice , she finally went off on the last note
3. Oge - Nice performance.
4. Jarry - tight performance. Key got a little uncomfortable for him towards the end though. I think he had the best voice.
5. David - Very good. Did justice to the song.
6. Jerrilyn - Nice. Just OK.

Generally, the guys did better than the girls. Don't know why Oludolapo chose that song. Didn't come out right at all.
Religion / Re: How To Fly To China As A Witch? by Icon(m): 6:47am On Mar 12, 2007
Why the reference to Yorubas? Witches exist in every other tribe as well. In fact, you'll be surprised to find them more in countries other than Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Atiku Injured, Flown To London For Treatment by Icon(m): 6:04am On Mar 12, 2007
Saw it this morning as well. Lord help us! If presidential candidates don't trust this country enough to treat themselves, I wonder what'll happen to the common man how has little or no money to do likewise. The funny thing is that the 2 candidates are a part of the present government and this only points at their incapabilities in taking the nation forward. If Yaradua had reformed the medical sector in Katsina state, he would not have needed to be flown out for medical checkup. Same goes for Atiku. It's really a shame for Nigeria.
