I won't be surprised too if that happens. The same way Obasanjo turned against Babangida after he got to ASO rock. But who knows, it might be all have been a script. But I'm kind of sure Yaradua will not prove to be the puppet that others have predicted him to be. EFCC might end up visiting OTA farm soon. |
We all know Jerilyn has outstayed her voice type and level in the competition. With an unbiased frame of mind, I know she has the weakest voice in the show, and her voice dynamics can rank only with Temitayo's. The problem I think is that everyone is voting only for 1 person. (an uncle of mine voted Timi 23 times!). I think we should spread our votes instead of throwing them on one person. Personally I voted 3 for Timi, 3 for Mercy, 3 for Jodie, 2 for Eric, 2 for Omawumi and none for Jerilyn and Temitayo. That was the order in which they impressed me. If you throw all your votes on Timi and forget to vote for Mercy, remember that some people are throwing all their votes (and i mean all) for Jerilyn and the like. Please let's vote with wisdom and sense next week. It will be a shame if West Africa ends up presenting an average singer as it's "Idol". |
MERCY DON GO O!!!! WHAT THE , ? I'M AT A LOSS FOR WORDS!!! |
@9ja4eva. It's usually at this link - http://www.mnetafrica.com/idols/videogallery/default.asp But I don't know why they don't put up the videos until 2 days after the performances. They'll put it up tomorrow, I believe. You can view previous performances there too. @salsera, who's going today o I hope , goes. You know who I mean! |
Prof, thanks for visiting my blog! I don't know who'll leave o. If it were left to me, I'll say Jerilyn this week, Temitayo next week, then we'll have the real singers left in the competition. Jerilyn is trying but truth be told, she's not up to the present standard. There are people in the top 24 who were much better than her. Temitayo is OK but her voice is just not "Wow". Here are the numbers for voting. Mercy - 2 Omawumi - 10 Timi - 7 Jerilyn - 3 Eric - 9 Jodie - 8 Temitayo - 1 Text any of these numbers to 33351 to vote. Voting ends 12 noon tomorrow. PLEASE VOTE O!!!!!! |
Hey Salsera, I watched it o!!! Timi had the best performance tonight for sure. followed by Mercy (she really surprised me tonight). Eric surprised me too. Bottom 2 for me were Temitayo and Jerilyn. Abeg people, make una vote o! Don't let last week's mistake repeat itself. Uche didn't deserve to go just then. |
Then I believe there should be a kind of notice that'll make people know you're not a pharmacist so that they'll deal with you at their own risk. If there was no such measure, what lucrativeness will there now be in studying pharmacy? Just like the different Doctors we have nowadays (eg. Yemkem, etc). People know they are not "trained" doctors, they neither have MBBS nor housemanship experience. So people deal with them at their own risk. This is not to say that the methods proferred by such people won't work medically, at times it even works better than medical solutions, but people should just be made aware of what they're dealing with. |
If you really want to be vast in software development, I'll advise you to move from VB6 to C++ or Java. If you know all three, good for you. You won't be limited by any platform. Good luck. |
I think that's a good thing for the profession. It's in underdeveloped countries where pharmacies are bastardized. In some countries, no body will sell drugs to you without a Doctor's prescription. This ensures that pharmacists don't face undue competition from "quacks" like they do in Nigeria. @Spicie, I'll advise you to get a pharmacist (probably a practicing one) and get his/her advice. I'm sure there are some here @ Nairaland. |
I voted Pat Utomi for president. Even though I "supect" my vote would not count, I still cast it anyway. The omission of names from ballot papers caused some confusion. Thank God I knew my candidate's party before hand. It's a shame many Nigerians did not show up to vote. It would have been nice if all Nigerians collectively refused to vote, in protest agains INEC's inconsistencies. |
Thanks. I'll call you in 5 mins. |

Where is the Hopeozah girl sef? She don run |
Afam:What's the price estimate for those? |
Na wa o. You guys are being unnecesarily mean to the thread-starter. You're accusing him almost like he's the culprit! I saw things when I was working with my previous company. THINGS!!! And you'll be surprised at the caliber of people watching and viewing this stuff. Those ones didn't have the audacity to come and argue with me whenever I delete all the porn from their system. They are always like "All these rubbish files sef, I think someone has used my system to download stuff" or "I'm Someone has hacked into my system and saved all these porn". Of course they were lying. @Rapnizzy, I'll advise you to just go about your normal duty, and ignore these file. If they pop up, just close them. |
Do they have the Imate JamIn? |
Hey Guys, don't be so fast to judge. They could both be in the same office and have been posted to another location on a project. Of course the office will lodge them in the same hotel. It's happened to me many times. |
Razorr, do you have anything to fear? if not then just fashi and go about your normal day to day activities. I think you should have some real talk with your boyfriend and let him know you are not down with him putting private eyes on you. That's invasion of privacy , boyfriend or not. If he doesn't see it that way, then you need to start thinking ahead. He might do worse things when you get married, once he has any reason to doubt your commitment. The fact is this, even if you have nothing to hide, the private eye wants to earn his money and so will emphasize those little details like , the guy that gave you a hug in public (even though he hugged 3 of you at the same time), the guy who paid your cab fare (even though you were not the only one in the cab), the text messages on your phone (assuming he has access - even though there's nothing suspicious there) and due to the lack of trust from your boyfriend, he'll hear and believe only what he wants to hear and believe, and that's what he set out to find out in the first place. Any relationship that's not based on trust doesn't deserve to exist. That's the bottom line. You guys need to talk. |
Just saw and heard this on AIT now. After a long winding speech, Obasanjo ended with the famous words "Therefore, by virtue of Section 305 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I hereby declare a State of Emergency in Ekiti State. This declaration has been published in a Federal Gazette as of today. " The state of emergency will last till May 29 when the swearings-in will be done. Brig Gen Tunji Olurin (rtd) is appointed once again as the administrator. Which way Ekiti? Which way Nigeria ![]() |
LawyerChap! Where were you last week ![]() I totally agree with your analysis of Jodie. It felt all "normal" and there was no magic there. Timi was the Man that night. I agree with your views about Eric too. His only help in the song was the modulation he threw in, and of course his looks. Great summary. @Imani, thanks for reading my blog. The comments can be accessed through the "Post a comment" link at the bottom left of the page. We are all from the village LOL ![]() |
@Imani. That's true. Jerilyn tried more this week than her previous performances, but she went off key for a little while. I also believe she's not being real. She shouts and shakes during her performances but after her performances quickly reverts back to the innocent look and voice. I wonder why she does that. My review of the performances this week is available on my blog. Please read and leave a comment. Thank you. |
I was really pained to see Uche go. That guy's got some talent , and he's way better than Jerilyn. Jerilyn is using all she can to make sure she remains in the competition and her tactic this week was her provocative dressing and butt movements. Mike Majic, not a good choice of presenter at all. He needs to loosen up. |
I did a "WHO IS" look up for the domain name and here are the details I found. @Bagoma, you could give this to Interswitch and they could pass it to police/efcc, etc Domain Name: INTERSWITCHNIG.COM Registrant: Linch Inc. Linch Admin (ritsiqsaphrona@yahoo.com) 23 match road apapa null,23401 NG Tel. +234.8036555422 Fax. +234.8036555422 Creation Date: 22-Mar-2007 Expiration Date: 22-Mar-2008 |
tamia:Obviously, you're cameroonian! The auditions were held only in Ghana and Nigeria (Why, I don't know). But we had Liberians in the top 24, even though there was no audition in Liberia. |
Salsera, fully agreed. Jerilyn was lucky enough to be in a "below average" group. All the group 1 performers were better than her. She's tried thus far, I guess she'll be going next. Even Onyeka said she's the one with the weakest voice. |
I didn't watch the Idols South Africa, so I don't know how to compare the two. I think it's the Old School theme which did the contestants in. Last week was much better. Let's see what happens next week (they'll be singing new age songs). BTW, Uche did a Nat King Cole song and he did it well. I hope you realize that Nat King Cole's songs are not the easiest to sing. You can easily go off key if you don't know what you're doing. You need to know how to flow along Jazz Scales and all the dynamics. In my own opinion, Uche tried. When we look at relativity, I think he had the best performance. |
bagoma:@Bagoma, why did you cry? Pele o! But it's a shame that Joan had to go, although her performance was not the best. Her voice was quite good though. Where is LawyerChap? Wanna see what he has to say on the performances. My own review of the peformances is available here. Please read and leave a comment. |
Alright now I've watched the performances. The participants really disappointed me today. They were all not up to average. The "Old school" theme isn't for them at all. I still felt Jodie's performance though, she's easily the best and I see her in the top 3. Timi and Eric were OK, Uche was great but the song he chose is not such a winner. Omawumi thrilled me when she sang a slow song. She started well but went off for some time after the modulation. She was able to get back on key, and that's remarkable. Temitayo was just there, Mercy & Joan , good voices and less than average performance, Jerilyn, not impressed although she performed better than her previous performances. The judges disappointed me also. Most of their judgments were off! Especially Dan. I don't know what came into them yesterday. I predict Jerilyn, Joan or Mercy going out. We'll see what happens 8pm tonight. My fingers are crossed. |
omogenaija:Nice Site! |
Anyone watched it today? I didn't. I recorded it though and will watch it tomorrow. Pls give us gist. |
I hope , goes. You know who I mean!
