Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Eligible Nigerian Bachelors In Rhode Island: Identify Yourselves! by Icon(m): 12:23am On Feb 07, 2006 |
Seriously, why don't you think of coming back home, and seeing if you can get someone here? I have a friend who did it that way and she's happily "hooked" now. But you still have to be very careful though. Some nigerians here are no less determined to get a green card that the ones you were talking about. Wish you luck. |

hot-angel:Do you know him? Call him to order ASAP. Seun: Seun, are you sure he's not just taking advantage of the downtime you had? I really don't think you should give in because of his threats. Your web hosts should be able to provide details of how the VPS vanished. I've been to this Seeni guy's website and I'm not impressed in the least. It does not even validate... If he can't even make a good website, I don't think he's that tech-wise to be able to log into your host's machine, find your own VPS and delete it. Unless yout host has some real security issues... Those are just my thoughts, I could be wrong. |

bohye:Yes oh. That's how we used to "snack" it way back in Secondary School. When cooking was not allowed. Another way was to soak it in cold water for about 2 hours, drain the water and add the souce. It turns out like cooked indomie 1 Like |

Business / Re: Why Are There No Venture Capitalists In Nigeria? by Icon(m): 11:48am On Feb 05, 2006 |
dejiolowe:Exactly. Most of the rich people don't know jack about computers or IT anyway, talk less of investing in some startup IT firm or some young guys who want to start programming. The largest IT firms in Nigeria are still quite small, and none of them is on the Stock exchange yet. The main problem is that Nigeria has not fully embraced IT. africanboy: Is that the kind of man that will invest into IT in Nigeria? He'll just impeach the CEO one day and replace him with some dude who didn't go to secondary school. |
Romance / Re: Ladies: Would You Date A Man Younger Than You? by Icon(m): 11:43am On Feb 05, 2006 |
Ama:God bless you for that reply. There are guys who are 22 years old but have the mind and maturity of someone much older. Personally I have friends who have married older ladies. It all depends on the understanding between the 2 of you. Now, this doesn't mean there won't be challenges, but then which relationships don't have challenges? |

Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Tunisia Are You Watching The Match? by Icon(m): 10:18pm On Feb 04, 2006 |
Enyeama was really the man of the match. Why did they have to use defenders to play the first 3 penalties? They were all shooting to the right and the keeper kind of knew. Thank God it worked out and thank God Kanu scored. Nigerians would never have forgiven him if he hadn't. |
Food / Re: Fast Food Joints by Icon(m): 10:13pm On Feb 04, 2006 |
Some bukas are. At lease the food is served steaming hot so there's absence of micro organisms in it. If the plates and the cups are clean, then you can be guranteed of healthy food. In the places like Sweet Sensation, Tantalizers and stuff, they usually leave the food open for so long under the glass cabinet thing, that's perfect for germs to breed. |
Food / Re: Fast Food Joints by Icon(m): 2:04pm On Feb 04, 2006 |
Bibi: I was in Sweet sensation yesterday evening and i've not been able to go out today cos of running stomach. Most of those joints are not healthy. Especially the ones with lots of people. |

Nairaland / General / Re: Create An E-annoyance And Go To Jail! by Icon(m): 12:05pm On Feb 04, 2006 |
It'll be difficult to pass such a law in Nigeria. They'll only be able to trace to the ISP or cyber-cafe where the e-annoyance originated from. Any how many people visit cyber-cafes a day? |

Forum Games / Re: Fill In The Story by Icon(m): 11:52am On Feb 04, 2006 |
It's a bit complex but it's quite simple really. If you used to watch "Be My Guest" on Galaxy TV some years back, you'll be familiar with the game. Let me start 1. One day, I was driving to an interview venue. 2. Suddenly I was bashed on the side by another car. 3. In annoyance, i gave the guy who bashed me a dirty slap. 4. I continued on my way 5. I got into the interview room. 6. Surprisingly, my interviewer was ... the same man I had slapped. 7. I'll never act in annoyance again Get it? OK Maybe you should give us the next sentence and then we'll continue |
