komekn: It doesn't inspire confidence, Ndidi is too much of a. DM he is not an intelligent ball player like Mikel. They could get over run in midfield.
Sometimes you need a striker to hold it up for you when the going get tough and impose himself on the defence. That is not the KC game, we will definitely miss Mikel.
Balogun as wing back he is not technically proficient enough. Keita will have him for dinner I actually prefer Shehu in that position by a huge gap. That is why Iwobi will play the number 10 position. He will combine a lot with Onazi and ensure the goods are delivered to the forwards. We'll surely miss Mikel but wetin we go do? Na to make do with wetin we get na. |

komekn: We are talking in the same vein if you are not having a good club form or a regular in your club how can an accurate assessment be made about your ability.
There are exceptions KC is in a world class team with World class strikers ahead of him. However, it is also a reflection of limited striking options for Nigeria that he is near first choice.
Rabui had incredible promise but has fallen so badly short of all expectations.
Omeruah our best defender arguably is not a top class defender indeed none of them are. They all are showing promise and potential. And they are going up against Mane and others.
Isaac Success is a waste man to me. Why is he in the premiership for Watford, arrangement but more financial money transferring.
Well if we get a draw we would have done exceptionally well. If we loose it is expected but let's not just get slaughtered. Hahaha we are Nigeria! No team in Africa can intimidate us. The boys will shock u tonight. |

Icon79: Do you know the difference tho - all the afore mentioned players are playing in the main event (EPL or equivalent) whereas Aluko is playing in the "Undercard" (Championship). The level of the opposition makes a big difference, bro. Thank you my brother. They talk as if it is not the same Aluko that once played for Hull City that go relegated. Upon the relegation the club still released him. |

TheGoodJoe: Same thing came to my mind. I think Aghahowa also scored in that game and Idah Peterside was one of the panel of analyst in the NTA studio. We equalized but still lost. Senegal played one man down for a great part of the game and Wilson Oruma lost a penalty late into second half of extra time to have made it 2-2. That was the game that sent Oliseh, Finidi, Babangida and some others parking from the national team. |

Nigeria Starting XI vs Senegal : Goalkeeper (still unknown), Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Omeruo, Echiejile, Onazi, Ndidi, Iheanacho,Musa, Simon, Iwobi. Hmmm.... with Etebo ruled out from starting this is our strongest 10 from that squad in camp. I would line such a collection thus: Balogun.. Troost. .Omeruo.. Echiejile ................Ndidi ....................... .Onazi Musa......... Iwobi........ Simon ................Iheanacho |

komekn: When Chukwudi was held to account, his question was if I remember correctly.
Why me? Am I only one why me
Do you really think he was the only one
That's just football, progression is about ability, opportunity and ability not age necessarily. In reality compared to the exceptional accolades they were awarded golden and silver ball, bronze shoe and Silver shoe. Where have they reached don't forget Neymar, Mario, Mustafa (Arsenal), Coutinho , Isco, Morata, all played in that tournament.
Emmanuel Sani was probably one of the youngest despite winning top goal scorer didn't progress considering his potential.
Where is Omeruah playing he hasn't got anywhere in real terms. Never played for Chelsea in the EPL probably never will. Simply not good enough. Was in the championship but didn't stand out so he left Holland to Turkey that's not progress.
Onazi is the one that has progressed the most don't know how he left Lazio for Turkey, maybe the €€€. Otherwise nobody else has hit the levels we expected of players winning the highest awards in youth football in the world. What is the explanation for that.
Azeez has played mainly in the B team how can you join a team in 2012 and 65% of your games are for the B team that's the equivalent of U23 in the UK. That is not progress. Forgiveness has highlighted this problem of arrangements in team selection.
Other 2009 Eaglet players not playing is it entirely a reflection of ability or something else.
Sorry to burst the Bubble but, NONE OF THEM IS MAKING WAVES IN EUROPE AT ALL.
Let me start with yr last paragraph. Pls how many Nigerian players or ex-junior internationals are making waves in Europe over-all. Talking about Ramon Azeez. I loved that guy that year when he played U17. He was my favorite in that team. But, i think same thing that affected the mercurial Rabiu Ibrahim has affected him too. So much potential as a teenager but their game level refused to move up after being kick started. In that 2014 that u made reference to I personally never saw Ramon as a player that could add value to that midfield. People were saying he was the best natural midfielder Nigeria had then. A player that has never been capped? I kept asking the question "how can you be adjudged to be the best when u have not yet been tested"? By and Large, I dnt agree it was an 'arrangement' as you put it. People who called for his inclusion had a genuine case as he was playing regular football for Almeria for a couple of months leading to that world cup. I thought other-wise bc i dnt easily trust untested players. That same forgiveness you are making reference to on 'arrangement problem' was at the fore front of the call for Ramon Azeez. Like for today's game i would not start a player like Ebuehi. |

I didn't tell u that u just like to type or tell u to ignore my post if u don't like it. Lets do this like adults, this is football talk. My problem is why now? Why try to scandal the boy's name while he is on the rise. U posted that he scored 2 goals yesterday but u also made sure u let us know they were penalties with an lol. U then said the NPFL sucked and got into calling Odey an age cheat. Ur last 2 sentences there really got me laughing. But gents, I think we should pipe low on this Odey's age issue. We should discuss more of his abilities pls. All for the good of Nigerian football. cc: joebie |

joseph1013: That your statement is one kain sha. Does it mean Yoruba coaches cannot coach the Eagles because they will be tribalistic? People are people. Even if you can prove that Onigbinde is tribalistic, he is tribalistic because he is a human, not because he is a Yoruba man, so the reference to his tribe is unwarranted. So many things led to that discussion from way back from where forgiveness dug it up. I am not saying a Yoruba coach cannot lead the Eagles bc they will be tribalistic. What i just stated was jst the way it is. None since after Onigbinde. Whose fault it is maybe the NFF i dnt know. But lets put that aside and move on please. |
