As many as four players presently in the camp of the Super Eagles in France are set to be axed from the team when the list for the AFCON 2017 Qualifiers game against South Africa is released.

Owngoalnigeria.com sources reveal coach Gernot Rohr will drop the players after the game against Togo on the 1st of June, with their spot set to be taken by players excused from the training camp in France.

Presently 19 players are in the camp of the team but the number will be whittled down to 15 with six players or probably seven joining the team next month when preparations for the June 10 clash against South Africa hots up.

For now the players who are likely to be axed have not been released by the coach but six players are set to be recalled to the squad according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com correspondent.

Victor Moses, John Ogu, Ogenyi Onazi, Daniel Akpeyi , Kenneth Omeruo and Brown Ideye are all expected to be handed recall to the team, while Moses Simon is also heavily under consideration.

Yea. But I think it's because Rohr wanted to give a baptism of fire to the defensive line of: Ezenwa - Echiejile - Ekong - Awazien. To see what they can be able to handle against South Africa.

And by the way, did anyone noticed that the Echiejile led team has only 8 players compared to 9 players on the other side. Did the report miss somebody?

First of all, how can you call Cristiano Ronaldo the main man for Real Madrid when Marcelo has been their best players for the past 2 years? Anywayz, that's a story for another day.

But coming to the topic at hand, there are dozens of reasons (all which has nothing to do with C. Ronaldo) why a player choses one football club over the other, which include: the organization, the location (city), the coach, chances of getting regular playing time, chances of winning silverware, etc etc.

Going by the above two reasons alone (organization and city), most players would prefer Real Madrid over Barca. Barca has a great team but a horrible organization! And this is coming from a big Barca fan too!

The training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria was as expected more competitive than previous session with as many as 18 players taking part in a 9-a side game won 4-2 by one of the teams.

Oh, when I saw Mikel, my mind went to John Obi Mikel.

Anytime I have seen Uche Agbo play for Granada, he's always been deployed as a DM. Never seen him play as a CB. And I have watched quite a few times. So I don't care about his player profile. That's why we played Ndidi as a RB in Zambia and that almost got us in trouble. Players should play in their favorite positions. And I am talking from experience here.
