What's your formation: 4-4-2? O pari Joebie: Check your list, i've highlighted the players we want to see play. Also Uche Agbo, Mikel Agu, and Awaziem. Not forgetting Odey (for those who have been crying foul over his non-invitation before now). Now that's a handful.
Here is my proposed squad based on what we are hearing from the training camp.

Like I said, unless we play folks in the wrong positions. Is Uche Agbo a CB? I know him as a DM, but I can't trust him to play in that position by himself either. And by the way, Mikel isn't playing. He's just there for moral support, only. O pari joseph1013: Are you sure you know this team?
There is Awazien and Agbo to partner Ekong.
There is Agbo, Mikel and Shehu for DM.
There is Shehu and Tyrone for RB.

Just from the top of my head, here's a rough guess: Alampasu Ezenwa Ekong Nacho Henry Tyronne Alhassan Etebo Odey Olatubosun *Musa (in honeymoon mode) *Mikel (injured) Meanwhile, my major concern is that we won't have a chance to see the likes of Noah Bazee, Isaac Success, Moses Simon, John Ogu, Osimhen, Ndidi, Kayode, etc. Joebie: show me the list in camp now, and I will circle out a handful that we would like to test. Remember we also have Togo friendly if i'm right |

True tok. I think some of these folks should speak with Gabriel Agholanhor. O pari Joebie: Problem with parents generally is they always live in the past. Only if some can look to the future and realize their days are not necessarily like ours. Today foreign born players stand a better chance having a long career with Nigeria. You cannot use your judgement of how u were treated by Nigeria in the past, and think your child will experience the same (papa Torunarigha and Lorfa in mind). |

OK. Good to know but are you 100% sure that we have a full squad? Who would partner Ekong in the Center Back? Who would play the anchor role (#4 DM)? What about RB? I think we're still missing bits and pieces of the team, unless we decide to play people in the wrong positions. Let's hope I am wrong tho. O pari Mujtahida: We don't have a full team yet but we do have a full squad. 16 players are in camp - they played 8 aside this morning with Iheanacho, Muazzam and Onyekuru being the leading lights. So I think we are good to go. I find the commitment of this players a soothing tonic compared to the past. Though Ahmed Musa has fallen down the pecking order and given he's just married he's in camp on schedule. I commend their commitment. |

Take it from me, now that Nigeria has broadcasted their interest on Tammy, England would try to cap him first unless Nigeria can cap him within the next 1 year. I agree that it isn't a must win, especially since the game isn't even gonna affect our FIFA rankings. However, my concern is that many of the players we'd like to test are not in available either (Noah Bazee, Isaac Success, Osimeh, Kayode, Aina, etc.) O pari Joebie: it's not a must win. I'd like to see the untested actually play against a quality opposition.

You've said it, my brother. Too many loopholes in the whole story, jare. I think some of these guys only develop interest in Nigeria when they are ignored by England. Take the case of Dominic Iorfa instance, last year, his dad declared that he would not rep Naija. Fast forward a few months later, Iorfa was dump on the bench by his club, the same man (his dad) cried out that he was only being punished by his coach because he chose Nigeria over England. And now, the same player is getting an invite to England U-21. Strange days.... O pari Joebie: We havn't learned the white man's language. say one thing from one side of their mouth and do another thing. Is it Tammy and Lorfa begging to represent the UK now?
They said it should be a thing of pride to play for England. But apparently they are pulling a stunt here on Tammy. Anyway if Tammy had earlier ignored Nigeria's interest, I must keep my mouth shut. How do you process the passport of a player that is not interested in playing for Nigeria? Let's hear the truth about Tammy Abraham, because it's not adding up. |

I knew that they would quickly get Tammy Abraham entangled in their snare, especially after our NFF officials had stupidly broadcasted to the whole world that they have Tammy in their plans. I won't be surprised if they try to cap him at the senior level as well .... to keep him beyond our reach. The NFF is populated by a group of daunces O pari Joebie: Chelsea's Nigerian Whizzkid Named In England Provisional Squad For U21 EURO, Akpom Missing
Published: May 25, 2017 Chelsea's Nigerian Whizzkid Named In England Provisional Squad For U21 EURO, Akpom MissingEngland U21 Head coach Aidy Boothroyd has announced a 28-man provisional roster for this summer's UEFA European U21 Championship in Poland (16–30 June 2017).
Two players of Nigerian descent in the shape of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dominic Iorfa have been selected in the group.
But there is no place in the roster for Arsenal talent Chuba Akpom, who flirted with the Nigerian national team during their get-together in London two months ago, and ex-Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe.
England appear to have given up as regards to securing the international future of Ola Aina, as the Chelsea fullback has been omitted from the squad though he has been invited to the U21s in the past.
All the aforementioned players have been approached by the Nigeria Football Federation to play for the Super Eagles.
Aidy Boothroyd must name his final squad for the U21 EURO before the UEFA deadline of June 6, and five players will not make the cut.
The Young Lions are in Group A of the tournament and face Poland, Slovakia and Sweden in the group stage.

Wow. So Henry Onyekuru is from Onitsha? My neck of da woods, eh! Good stuff! O pari tbaba1234: Onyekuru getting a lot of attention, new report by skysports
Who is Henry Onyekuru? We profile the Nigerian striker wanted by Arsenal By Michael Hincks
Henry Onyekuru is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs, but what do we know about the striker?
The 19-year-old looks set to move away from Belgium this summer, with Arsenal said to be in talks over a move for the KAS Eupen forward.
The Nigerian is certainly a player in demand, with SSN HQ reporting last week that Everton, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion were also keen.
Here, we take a closer look at the player with just a £6.8m release clause in his contract…
Profile
Name: Henry Onyekuru
Age: 19
Born: Onitsha, Nigeria
Position: Forward
Club: KAS Eupen
International recognition: First call-up for Nigeria on May 22
How good is he?
Onyekuru ended the season strongly in Belgium, scoring 10 goals in 10 games during the play-off stage in the domestic league.
And having scored 12 times during the regular season, Onyekuru missed out on the 'Golden Bull' to RSC Anderlecht forward Lukasz Teodorczyk, who scored more away goals that the Eupen striker.
Onyekuru also scored twice in the Belgian Cup, finishing the season with 24 goals in 41 games.
It was undoubtedly a breakthrough campaign for the teenager, though he did show promise in 2015-16, netting six times en route to Eupen's promotion to the top tier.
The Nigerian recently lost out on the Young Player of the Year award in Belgium, finishing third behind Landry Dimata of Oostende and Anderlecht's Youri Tielemans.
How was he discovered?
Onyekuru moved from Nigeria to Senegal to join the Aspire Academy in 2010. The academy is the product of a Qatari-based initiative which aims to unearth a host of footballing talent across a number of developing countries.
Eupen play a major role in this project. They have been owned by the ASPIRE Zone Foundation since 2012, and are seen as a stepping stone for players - such as Onyekuru - who dream of plying their trade in Europe's biggest leagues.
Onyekuru himself moved to Eupen in July 2015, and he is currently one of three Nigerians in the squad - which also features players from Qatar, South Africa and Venezuela, to name but a few.
Attracting interest
Liverpool, Celtic and RB Leipzig were linked with Onyekuru earlier this season, but now Arsenal have emerged as favourites to land the forward.
Sources close to the player said they were confident the forward would play in the Premier League next season, having already turned down moves to Belgian giants Brugge and Anderlecht.
The interest coincides with a call-up to the Nigeria squad for upcoming friendlies against Corsica and Togo.
A debut for the Super Eagles would certainly cap off a fine campaign for Onyekuru, but we must wait to discover where he'll be playing next season.

You never know, he might actually explode in the EPL. We used to call EPL - the No Defense League O pari komekn: This can easily go sour for Onyekuru.
He will be expected to fill some very big boots, the boots of Lukaku who looks like will be gone this summer.
The EPL is not the Belgium league. I actually think it will be a baptism of fire the speed, physicality and intensity.
My opinion is that Onyekuru is a bit lightweight for the EPL. In his club he is the star player, he will be be far from that in Everton. |

At the moment, yes, he probably won't start for Everton. But remember that Lukaku and Ross Barkley are leaving. They have refused to sign new contracts. Hence, I can see Henry playing Barkley's position. One reason why I would like him to play for Everton is that Ronald Koeman is a pretty good coach. He always make his team (players) better. O pari Icon4s: Same here.
I even prefer West Ham for him. There he will have a better opportunity for game time. Everton's starting 11 is not that easy to break into. Look at Lookman for instance. Who do you think is even better between Lookman and Onyekuru? |
