I haven't heard of where they sell those books here. I collected a printed copy of some of the books from a friend.

I know either konga or jumia sells some of the books (I checked like 5months ago).

From my experience, only 1 book will not be enough.

If you need high scores, you need a mix of materials.

What course are you looking at? I worked more on getting a high Quantitative score because I am going in for Engineering.

Manhattan + Nova is good for Quant. Added Magoosh videos too.

I used baron and Princeton review for RC, Magoosh vocabulary app on android playstore and Kaplan for AWA.

I peeped into several other books for Verbal too.

dnt knw hw to start the vocab building - You have to start from somewhere and I recommend the Magoosh Vocab Builder for android. The Vocab app got well arranged after the last update.

which book to read for verbal - The Priceton review as recommended by people here helped me understand the verbal RC better. Scored 152 with little preparation, hope to add atleast an additional 5 marks this time. ~~I no like ets english ooo~~

I did schedule a very late night test but had to take a long call while writing. Kept looking at the screen as the time continued counting.

i hv read d official guide that i hav, i cnt see anythg so special, is mine different?

There are several books that have been written w.r.t the GRE.

The official booklet gives you a glimpse of what the actual test looks like so you wouldn't waste time reading differential equations for quant or reading idiomatic expressions for verbal.

Don't rush it, I took a full month perusing and trying to understand what the test was all about/it's structure + what was involved in acquiring a US Msc before I started the actual reading. That was part of my preparation for the test.

You can always come here and post ANY question you have and I'll try to answer within the limits of my knowledge.

I'd suggest my pattern to you:

I used the Manhattan books more: for me, they handled almost 90% of my Quants. Started out with Official ETS then consolidated with Manhattan 1-6. Magoosh videos did a lot of wonders for me in Quant.

After reading a topic in this and you still find certain things recondite, you can quickly glance through other materials to see if they explain the concept well. In my case, I think I checked some Probability stuff in Princeton Review and Kaplan. I checked Combinations and Permutations in Nova.

For Verbal: Other than the Official textbook( which you should definitely start with) I used Kaplan and Princeton for RCs. I didn't quite study text completions and SEs like that. I'm of the opinion that they are more vocabulary inclined. If you know the meaning of the words, you stand a better chance picking the right option.

So for Vocab building, I used the Magoosh flashcard app. It really helped. I used this too.

Lastly: You determine which of the textbooks works best for you. Given our different predilections and style of learning, you might find a certain text well suited for you than another.

This for me is the most important after learning all the concepts: PRACTICE WITH SIMULATIONS!
Kaomafen KaomaNfen, Crunchpep CrunchpRep, McGill, Kaplan and then PowerPrep. Just a few corrections here.

Early December, I want to improve on my verbal score of 152 (did VERY little prep on it the last time).

Quant wouldn't be a problem (did a Kaomanfen test this morning and the result was excellent).

Going very slow, I've been extremely busy these days and it just got worse this week.

I have been working on the verbal and my vocab for 2weeks, will resume Quant studies after I have resolved all pending issues.

With The NoteFull formula, won't ETS think it's plagiarism? It seems to me everyone would be inclined to use it.

I had the same thoughts. Yet to hear anyone was penalized for that.

The percentage of plagiarism would be low since other parts of your answer will be unique to you.

Welcome, I also wrote the GRE recently.

You'll have to pay for the exam, the most popular means of payment currently is thru B. Y. Mafit for 50k since most banks have a limit on their card transactions.

Also plan to write the TOEFL if you have funds but some schools can waive it. Writing TOEFL helps you have a shot at Teaching Assistanceship (from the much I have read).

Look for more schools to apply to to increase your chances of being admitted and possibly funded. You need to settle on these schools before writing the test so you can send your result to them for free on or before test day.

Try your hand on a practice test, see where you still need improvement and focus on that.

The file is most likely compressed or zipped so you'll have to unzip it.

1.5gb data MighT not be enough, what happens when the download breaks midway? I used up almost 3gb when I downloaded because I tried multiple times.

If your network is strong, you can give it a try with 1.5gb data.
