Students do not attend to patients in any hospital. Yea whenever patients come to the Hospital, they meet doctors. however, students are allowed to ask patients questions as regards their health. Students also carry out clinical examination on them on the approval of the patient. Whoever the student find in the course of the interaction with the patient will be presented to a senior doctor(consultant, registrar etc). that will enable the senior doctor make correction whatsoever.
That's how doctors are trained. The doctors who work in that same Turkish hospital were trained same way. If the said Turkish hospital is a teaching hospital, trust me, u will see medical students do same there.

Brother, I want to believe this is the standard as you commented but the experience I had with my brother was something else. I was happy cuz we had cash on us and we opted for a private hospital. The student doctor even gave my bro drug prescription without any senior doc present to get the prescription legit to someone suffering from severe sepsis.
I can agree with you @ private teaching hospitals in this Nigeria wey me and you dey.
when I took him to Bingham Teaching Hospital in Jos, their packaging is different. The Doctor sit side by side with a nurse and a student MBBS, I still stand by my first comment. Government teaching hospitals are glorified mortuary. no apologies Man most especially UNIVERSITY OF JOS TEACHING HOSPITAL.
