First admit that you lied, that you presented old 2016 figures while deceptively skipping 2017 and current figures, that I corrected and countered you with current and valid facts with verifiable reports and links that says Lagos state generates N41 billion every month and that and not the bogus figure you posted.

Admit your errors first before dabbling into other bogus and flawed rants and to further educate you, credi agencies determine and dictates creditworthiness based on your ability to manage your credit facilities, how you payback and ability to generate personal funds needed to service your debt, not you or your layman understanding of credit facilities and worthiness.

Stick to facts and sound knowledge because you are embarrassing yourself with bogus facts and layman and ignorant utterances.

Lagos IGR publicly available online for the whole of 2016 is 300 billion naira and that is 25 billion a month n not 41 billion dollars.

2 billion Dollars is a very huge amount for Lagos to raise, that's why they are in debt. 2 Billion Dollars translates to 720 billion naira @ 360 naira per dollar.
Lagos declares N436 billion internally generated revenue

The Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Akinyemi Ashade, has announced that the state government recorded Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of N436.3 billion in 2016 as against N399.4 billion realised in 2015. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Commissioner for Finance stated this today at a press briefing to mark Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s second year in office.

http://www.financialnigeria.com/lagos-declares-n436-billion-internally-generated-revenue-sustainable-photovideo-details-798.html
In April 2017, it was N436 billion = N36 billion/month

Lagos generated N503.7bn in 2017 despite harsh economy – Ambode

Lagos – Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Thursday said that the state generated a total of N503.7billion revenue in 2017 despite the harsh economic climate in the country.

N503.7 billion ÷ by 12 = N41 billion.

You are not current and you are factually wrong, Lagos state today rakes in N41 billion per month and I see it getting up to N80-N100 billion/ month before the end of this year.

Lagos Debt Profile Hits N603.25 Billion, Highest In Nigeria

https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2017/03/16/lagos-debt-profile-hits-n603-25-billion-highest-nigeria/
Talking about debt, Lagos state's total debt is N603 billion, not the amount you quoted.

Pays N17bn to service debt, captures 420,000 taxpayers

The commissioner disclosed that the state has accumulated over N103, 415 billion in its sinking fund accounts managed by independent trustees for the redemption of its other outstanding bonds which will mature in future. He said with the payment of N57.5 billion bond, Lagos State has now redeemed N107.5 billion of the N275 billion outstanding bond.

https://newtelegraphonline.com/2017/04/lagos-generated-n436bn-internal-revenue-2016/
Lagos state is in the best financial shape ever since they generate almost the same amount they owe every year and they have a dedicated account they sink money into to pay off their debt with.

The folks managing Lagos state are smart and intelligent people and they know what they are doing. Paying debt is the least of their concern in Lagos state. We are talking about the 5th or even the 3rd largest economy in Africa.

Lagos never pay for their 2 billion dollars loan during Fashola era, Talk more of another 15 - 20 Billion dollars New loan.
Lagos state is no building or paying for Dangote's power plant, this is Dangote's financed project and also part of his refinery project, not Lagos state's. Power, Works and Housing Minister, Babatunde Fashola, in a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, has disclosed the termination of the concession contracts for the management of Fiber Optic Network of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

The contract was with Alheri Engineering Company Limited, largely owned by African richest man, Aliko Dangote; and, Phase3 Telecom Limited, linked to an in-law of former Minister of Communications, Cornelius Adebayo.

Fashola, in the letter dated October 31, 2017, with reference number FMP/OPS/05/1 obtained by THEWILL faulted the process of the concession insisting that there was breach of agreement, as well as conflict of interest in the entire transactions.

“I write to respectfully draw your Excellency’s attention to ongoing efforts by the management of the Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN) to enforce its termination of two failed Fiber Network concession Agreements, recover its outstanding concession fees in the sum of usd 75,500,000.00 million from the two concessionaires, and take position of and commercialize its critical fiber optic infrastructure, which are essential for the stability and optimization of the national grid,” Fashola wrote.

He informed the President that going ahead with the concession would affect the stability, optimization and continued expansion of the national grid, which, in turn, will affect communication in the country generally.

“The Concessionaires were to pay a concession fee of $40 million each for the use of TCN’s asset to service their customers,” he continued.

“The concession fee was not just for the right of way upon which the transmission lines are constructed, but also for the use of the fiber optic network which was built by TCN along with the transmission lines.

“The agreement also provided for shelter fees of 2.5 per cent on gross revenue. Since 2006, Phase3 and Alheri have paid only $2 million and $3.5 million concession fees respectively.”

Aregbesola flags off N48.7bn water project in Ilesa

Speaking during the programme to kickstart the construction of Transmission Mains and Booster Pumping Station and construction of three NOS. 10,000M3 concrete reservoirs, Aregbesola hinted that the federal government had expended N8.7billion on the dam project at Kajola, just as he said that Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has also given the state a sum of N23billion.

The governor said the state would need N15.31billion to complete the project, with a view to ensure that people have access to 60million cubic litres water per day.

While maintaining that the contractor had promised to complete the project in 24 months, hence, Aregbesola expressed optimism that the project would be ready by December 2017.

According to him, “We have spent N57million for compensation. It remains only one person which is CAC prayer mountain and the monarch will give him N3.424million on our behalf. Three pumps will be located at the booster station at Iloba. Each reservoir has the capacity for 10million litres, hence we will have 30million cubic litres per day in the reservoirs.

“It remains distribution network which is the last part of it that we are yet to get money for. We are going to make it public for people to bid. Whoever wants to channel water to people and sell would be allowed to run pipes. We have written the World Bank, the federal government and Islamic Development Bank for loans.”
The consultant for the water project, Engineer Tawa Williams, said the provision of good water was part of six integral action plan of Aregbesola, assuring that the physical aspect of the project would be completed in 2019 and “it is going to be run by a consultant for five years. It is not a dividend of democracy. It is not going to be free”.

Callisthenics Has Paid Off In Osun Schools – Aregbesola

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state says he has been vindicated for introducing callisthenics to schools in the state.

The governor spoke at the Osogbo Township Stadium over the weekend during his administration’s 7th year anniversary.

According to him, he was accused of giving military training to school children when he introduced the sports in 2012.

“When we introduced Calisthenics into Osun, the opposition, for the strangest and most ridiculous reason, raised an alarm, nudged the security agencies and asked that it be scrapped,” the governor said.

“They wrongly accused us of using callisthenics as a cover for giving military training to the youth as a prelude to seceding from Nigeria.

He also said, “How could any sane person allege that teaching children to hold flags and bend their bodies amount to military training?

“At any rate, the training was done in the open, in the presence of parents, teachers, other children and interested members of the public.”

Lagos, Osun partner to sustain Bola Ige’s legacy in calisthenics

In a bid to emulate the legacies of late former Attorney-General, Chief Bola Ige (SAN), the Lagos State government has gone into partnership with the government of Osun State to replicate the Young Pioneers’ Club (Egbe Kekere Akin) established under the administration of late Ige in the old Oyo State in the early 80s.

Calisthenics was an initiative of late Chief Bola Ige during his administration as the governor of the old Oyo state and during this period, it was an event that improved the profile of the state and attracted tourists from far and near. Aside this, it was an important part of the educational system that was believed to aid the overall development of students.

But this became a thing of the past in the south-western part of Nigeria as a result of military incursion into government and remained so until recently when the governor of Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregesola resuscitated calisthenics as part of the overall redesign and re-organisation of the education system in the state.

Spurred by the calisthenics display of students at the 25th anniversary of the creation of the State of Osun last year August, the Lagos state government led by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode went into partnership with Osun state to train students in calisthenics in preparation of the ‘Lagos @ 50’ celebrations coming up in May.

Lagos state government’s decision to enter the partnership was due to the passion to train students and youths in the state on fundamentals of calisthenics to ensure they also have the necessary skills like their counterparts in Osun.
