Just like it baffles many of us why some people are considering re-electing Buhari. Someone who understands nothing (as in zero) about the economy he’s managing, someone who’s visibly running down the economy, a confirmed hypocrite who fights opposition instead of corruption; does not even understand corruption talk less fighting it, and one of the biggest of them all, a divisive nepotistic leader with archaic unchanging views.

Really, the 2019 election is not about electing Atiku, but more about voting out Buhari and protecting Nigeria’s democracy.
[/s]

Wrong thread, this is not about PMB, this is about Atiku and the presidential executive order banning him from entering the USA.

I know you don't like PMB, but PMB remaining in office is up to Nigerians to decide at the polls. Take your PVC to the polls.

They can lobby all they want, but their lobbyists can not over turn an American presidential executive order banning Atiku from entering the USA.

What's even more important here is the reason why he can not go to the USA.

He's a thief, a crook who stole and shipped our money to the USA. He should first clear his name before asking Nigerians for votes.

All this Atiku visiting USA na wash. We'll keep hearing Atiku will, Atiku wants to visit USA untill election.

Do we all remember Gbenga Daniel on national tv channels tv to be precise where he said that they've secured a US visa for Atiku.

If you've secured a visa for Atiku on October as said by Gbenga Daniel why going for another visa on November.

Do we remember Doyin Okupe statement last month November that Atiku will vist USA before November ending.

Please Nigerians may we all ask Doyin Okupe what is today's date December 1st, November has just finished has Atiku gone to USA.

PDP thinks we are babies and have fish brains like them, every day we keep hearing Atiku has applied for visa, Atiku has secured US visa, Atiku will visit USA soon.

Mark my word Atiku will never make such a mistake of visiting USA for now as a former vice president, he'll only vist if and only if he wins 2019 election, then he can visit as incoming president or president by then immunity covers him and America can no longer arrest him again.

Since 2014 we've being hearing Atiku will visit USA when PDP first challenged him to visit. Four (4) years after we are still hearing i will visit. Meanwhile as an ordinary man myself since 2014 i have visited same USA twice.

PDP park well jare!

Corruption: The US Senate report that finally nailed Atiku Abubakar

has received a report on how Atiku was the subject of a probe ten years ago, by a United States Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, chaired by Senator Carl Levin.

The report detailed how Atiku Abubakar while still the vice president of Nigeria between 2000 and 2008, used offshore companies to siphon millions of dollars to his fourth wife in the United States, Jennifer Douglas.

Specifically, the report said Jennifer Douglas, an American citizen, helped her husband bring over $40 million in suspect funds into the United States through wire transfers sent by offshore corporations to U.S. bank accounts.

In 2004, the then President Bush barred Atiku and other corrupt politically exposed persons from being issued visa to the United States

The US Senate probe was motivated by US government concern about corruption in the Third World and its corrosive effects on the development of honest government, democratic principles, and the rule of law.

The report unveiled violations of US laws by Atiku and his fourth wife, Jennifer Douglas. It also included revelations about Siemens bribe paid into one of the accounts, and it possibly provided the basis for Atiku being barred from entering the United States, since then.

Executive order laid down by the President of the United States of America. Looters of public funds and criminal elements can get away and evade justice in Nigeria, but not in America. The sale if Nitel caused job losses for many Nitel staff. But it and the sale of other government run companies showed government's interest in having a private sector driven economy. This gave rise to massive investments by foriegn companies in the telecom sector and thereby creating a real telecom industry which has created millions of jobs ( and many of the defunct nitel staff were reemployed) as well as entrepreneurs.

If Atiku has a case with the FBI, they should lock him up when he gets to America. Until then, its just an allegation.

If Nitel staff were not paid there pensions, they should be in court as we speak. And in dye course, they'll get their entitlements.
1. Atiku selling Nitel and telecom companies are totally unrelated so stop mixing apples and oranges.

2. What happened to the $900 million collected from the sales and why didn't he pay the workers their pensions?

3. Not paying the workers their earned pension was gross dereliction and abdication of responsibilities, it was lack of care and concern, even immoral. Asking then to sue their own leaders for what they are entitled to reflects your own bad judgment.

..but luckily for Nigerians, their president today showed leadership and courage by doing past PDP leaders couldn't do..

4. You can spin it any way you fancy, at the end need if the day, Atiku still can not obtain American Visa because he is an undesirable element and unfit to enter the USA due to corruption and criminal activities like money laundering.

5. His issue is not just with the FBI, the whole US Congress investigated and highlighted Atiku as one of the most corrupt people in the world.

Why people like you support and defend such characters baffles me, but anything is possible in Nigeria where people replace facts with tribal and political sentiments.

Why he cannot get a US visa or why has not gotten a US visa for a decade. Which one is your problem
The reason why I can and he can not is my problem as a Nigerian. He can not get an American Visa because he engaged in criminal activities and as a Nigerian, such crooked and corrupt individual should never be allowed to rule Nigeria.

Its the prerogative of the US to issues visas to whom ever they want to. If atiku has not gotten a visa in over a decade and the US decides to give him one Dont you think the reason he didn't get it in over a decade has been resolved.
@ this very second, his case is still pending in America, he's still on the no-fly and no Visa list imposed by the US and still can not obtain an American Visa. PERIOD.

How do you know that the reason you think he did not get a visa for over a decade is the same reason the US did not grant him a visa.
We know the reason why the US refused to give him Visa, we know and have read official US Congress investigation and conclusion against him, we have read the FBI affidavit and reports of the criminal investigation against him.

Obviously, you have not and you don't know anything, you are just arguing blindly.

If your reason is corruption why has the US not asked the buhari govt to hand him over to go face charges over there.
Ask the Americans. Maybe banning and preventing Atiku from entering their country is enough punishment.

Or tell us, which reason did the US tell you they did not grant him visa and maybe they will tell you why they seem to want to give him a visa now.
He can not get any Visa because he's on their ban list. PERIOD.
