chiefobdk: Please stop the hype.. If Obiano could do this project what stopped him from doing similar projects depending on need across the state...
I am from Nnewi but i cant beat my chest and proudly mention any Obiano project in Nnewi town...
Obiano did well in this airport but overall i am disappointed....
Why be say na dis airport everyone keep taking about.. 6 billion naira project should be normal for a state as developed as Anambra is You made a solid point here, bro. And to be honest , I felt Nnewi has been abandoned for many years , but it's partly because Ndi Nnewi are more business inclined than politically inclined. There is no way Nnewi could not use their financial muscles to make Obiano to rearrange Nnewi and plan it to be more visitors friendly. Ndi Nnewi are more concerned about who get money pass who. That's their problem. And this is what happens when you have a lot of money with little exposure. Also , there is a big divide between the Nnewi businessmen and the political/elite class. I love the fact that we built an airport, needless to say I was not in support because I felt we had other pressing issues like pipe borne water, retraining primary and secondary school teachers to reach their best potentials. I felt like channeling these funds in upgrading our Teachers College to international standards, building trade schools( Carpentry , Iron works, Mechanics with license) , to keep upgrading our rural hospitals to full capacity. I wanted Obiano to plan the towns around Nnewi , Onicha , Awka , Ihiala and Aguleri/Umuleri so that when developments starts spilling into these towns they dont end up becoming a slums another slum like Okpoko. I wanted many things before this airport but the airport is here and I can't pull it down. My only choice is to keep hammering on the areas I felt we need urgent improvements. I want every areas and sectors to be touched and improved. |

nairalandankrah: FootballFanCast.com Leicester City: Kelechi Iheanacho drops disasterclass at St Mary’s
Leicester City missed the chance to strengthen their hold on a Champions League place as they were held to a 1-1 draw against 10-man Southampton on Friday night.
Jannik Vestergaard was sent off in just the ninth minute of the game but Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes could not find a way through before the interval, even falling behind to James Ward-Prowse’s second half penalty before Jonny Evans rescued a point.
A huge culprit of Leicester’s failure to earn three points at St Mary’s on Friday was in-form striker Kelechi Iheanacho. Despite having scored 14 goals in all competitions since early February, the Nigerian was a disappointment on the south coast last night.
According to WhoScored, he had three shots throughout the game, failing to draw Saints stopper Alex McCarthy into any strenuous work with any of them.
He provided two key passes and it was his cross which was headed home by Evans for the eventual Leicester equaliser but that does not quite tell the whole story of Iheanacho’s evening.
The £13.5m-rated striker could only accumulate a woeful pass accuracy rate of 58.3%, which was by far the worst from a Leicester player This is compounded by the fact that Iheanacho lost possession on 16 occasions throughout the 90 minutes according to SofaScore as he continually struggled to control the ball.
Having also failed to complete a dribble and being flagged offside once, the Nigerian served to frustrate his team.
To compound that frustration, the former Manchester City man was at fault for the hosts’ goal, with his handball directly resulting in a penalty kick being awarded and then converted by Ward-Prowse.
Considering that the Foxes were up against ten men for almost the entire match Rodgers will surely be fuming at Iheanacho’s hugely wasteful performance against Southampton A pained English man wrote this trash....lmao Vardy missed two clear chanc. Castagne missed one and this journalist wants to write about Iheanacho who created about 3 clear cut chances |

BascoVanVeli: Maddison keeps feeding Vardy instead of looking for Iheanacho. IMO those 2 out of the team would help Iheanacho really flourish. Aren't both of them English ? You know the "good old boys" thing. |

Iheanacho is in a beast mode, at the moment. His touches are so beautiful. The deft touches , passes , volleys and overall confidence are back, and even getting better. Leicester don't seem to understand what they have on their hand.
By the way , Ndidi needs to shoot better. He is getting better with the ball but he had a rare chance to score a stunner today and waste it.
Vardy is down on confidence. He had two good chances to score today and missed them. |

But, if Nigeria cannot beat ghana with this our present squad and their failing squad, then do we deserve to attend the world cup?? Don't blame your misfortunes at the world cup on this flimsy excuse that FIFA is biased against African teams. Look at your domestic leagues and tell the progress you have made. Your best players are untrained and rot away at the NPFL. Simply put , you don't deserve to win even a plastic cup! |

Icon4s: About 1 hr 30mins trip.
When I was in Akwa-ibom back then i never missed Enyimba's games, even though I was part of Okey Emordi's backroom staff.
The atmosphere was always electrifying. The singing, drumming and Prayers of the fans.
I remember one of the games in 2004/2005 against Esperance, I think in the semifinals of CAF Champions league that year. That the fans knelt down at some point and starting praying and shouting Jehovah...! Jehovah...!!. We drew that game but drew again in Tunis and won via penalties.
Crazy stuff back then. Aba boys didn't care much about what was happening in England and Europe. Na wetin dey happen to Enyimba both in the NPFL and CAF Champions league dem know .
Memories
Unfortunately I am not sure the restrictions on number of fans would have been lifted in the quarter finals. Those were the glorious days of Enyimba. When Khadiri Ikhana marshalled instructions from the sidelines....beautiful memories. I read complete sports daily just because of Enyimba and local league. Enyimba paraded one of the most beautiful playing midfield pair in Muri Ogunbiyi with so much skills and guile and the athletic and tireless Onyekachi Okonkwo....these two were phenomenal. It still hurt me Muri didn't play for Nigeria. |

Arabiandude: Haaland is big, imposing and a speed star. Iheanacho is too sluggish to act as a point man. That doesn't mean he won't score some goals as a pointman when he have a good AM that's good with final passes Even if you put a good AM behind Nacho an intelligent defender can easily outsmart him, because Nacho is not aggressive, a bit slow and one legged. Therefore , the best option is to play him where he would get less attention/not the point man and have him sneak up on the box 18 late minutes and strikes. Thats where he functions best and his ability to score is almost unmatched. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by IDENNAA(m): 4:16pm On Apr 29, 2021 |
nairalandankrah: Not in this form! Who doesn't know playing Nacho as a #9 is a disaster.....please , let's drop that idea. Nacho has limited positions he can play and if you try to use him wrongly you will end up with an incompetent player. I have heard people say Nacho should play #10 and I wonder where these ideas are coming from. He doesnt have the lungs nor the skill set. The boy can only function between the #10 position and #9 , shikena. If Iwobi who is more skillful couldn't cope in the #10 position what makes you think Iheanacho would. Iheanacho has limited abilities of which are his pinpoint passes/creating goal opportunities/ deft touches and scoring goals with ease due to his excellent vision around the 18yrd box. Now, you cant because he plays good passes and score breathtaking goals and force him to play #10, which requires a player who can function in tight spaces. He will fail there. Lets be careful. We have seen how misusing a player can do to him, in Etebor. |

Hold up play - zero Aeriel dominance - zero One-two passes - zero Speed - not up to scratch Technique - zero All these we've seen while in the GWG jersey. Danm! You dont really like the guy...lol Anyway, like I said the man was usually played out of position by no other but our great magical tactician, Rohr. Onuachu can deliver but you have to play him right. Players like that exist. |

elunico: Onuachu is not reliable. His 2 goals for us so far were just luck.
He's not good for us at the moment. Especially under Rohr. He may find his Mojo under another manager. Bros, don't write Onuachu off yet because he hasn't actually been spoiled with many opportunities to prove and impress, and even when presented he was played in a system that starved him of goal opportunities. Iheanacho is a good example of how a player can be rendered useless by using him wrongly. Some players like Etebo can play as SS , RW , CM and even DM while some doesn't have that flexibility.....Iheanacho and Onuachu probably falls into the later. |

TheGoodJoe: With all the celebrations of Iheanacho going on, I am still mad angry with Leicester City due to the way they treated Ahmed Musa. I just want to go to foxestalk and give them a piece of my mind.
However, I will not spoil their minds. Let them enjoy while Iheanacho keeps delivering the goodies. To be brutally honest , I wasn't expecting Ahmed Musa to sparkle in the Premier League. He doesn't just have the quality....and yes, I know Ahmed Musa from his early days with Kano Pillars and he never had that solid consistent finishing. So , don't be so mad...not every player will make it in the EPL. |

Cc. elunico While I think Nacho has learned from watching from the sidelines, however, I will never accept he was not ready to deliver. Rogers didn't just believe in him even when he scored. We can all agree that injuries to his favourite boy forced him to play Nacho. |

The characteristics that made Iheanacho so deadly is his invisibility around 18yrd box and the fact that opposing defenders don't consider him a big threat. He snicks up on them and within splits of seconds and the ball is on his left and the scoring chance is like 30% , of that 30% he is 80% sure to put it in the net. Iheanacho is quite a unique player in the sense that he is not your typical traditional striker , not physically imposing , not a great ball holder and his skill set is pretty much basic. However, his two deadliest abilities are the fact that he can create scoring chances and near perfect goal scoring ability. |
