Culture › Re: Benin Remain The Center Of West Africa Civilization by IDENNAA(m): 7:55am On Dec 06, 2020
Abovebonny:
Oxford definition of "empire": a group of countries or states that are controlled by one ruler or government e.g. the Roman Empire.

Considering Benin's borders never extended beyond the Niger River, let alone outside of Nigeria's boarders, means that it does not qualify for empire status.

The Benin Kingdom was just that, a kingdom.

The map I've provided shows just how small Benin was, comparable in size and influence to the Nri kingdom.

Look at Mali, Songhai, Ghana & Akan these can be classified as empires as they fit the definition perfectly.

I still think The Benin Kingdom was a formidable and rich culture with deep spiritual and militaristic traditions, but they weren't an expansionist enterprise like the other larger west African empires.

Even Oyo, the largest Yoruba kingdom was far greater territorially than Benin.

Please stop overstating history because you have a bias towards a particular topic.
Point of correction, the chiefdom never extended beyond Bini. As for center of civilization, it's an insult.

What the guy showed in the video was the previous works done by Ned. AMC is more or less a green city., check their 3D. And, the good thing about AMC is that they are building according to specifications and details in their colourful 3D designs. Really beautiful.
Ok , I will be here probably for another 50 years ! But , to God these negligence can't continue! Obulu ogwu ,oma nle!

None of these politicians are ready to take Anambra to world class development and infrastructures. Town planning is almost non existent. Primus Odili who is Chief of Staff to Obiano just bought a million dollars house in Tennessee. A Rev. Father from my home town knows him from seminary school...smh

Half of the money we generate goes to the pockets of few men....I want to spill the blood of these criminals. Only a person like me can bring total law , order and discipline to Anambra and slash the outrageous salaries of the people including the governor's to 100,000 naira monthly!

These people are robbing us blind and all their children are schooling abroad. These politicians don't have any love for Ndi Anambra. I want to show them total terror!

When I see a couple and see their kids....I already know which one of them is a weakling in the other room.
It's obvious Davido is passionate and very good in bed and that's why all his kids look like him.

I have postulated a theory that says that it is not about dominant and recessive genes but about performance at conception.
Go and check it; a child always looks like the partner who worked harder on the day the child was conceived.
I have four kids and I can comfortably ask you to keep quiet and face your jokes.

You misunderstood him. Building- 1 was bought and transformed to the building- 2.
Oh , I see. Yet , nothing spectacular. Generally our Anambra architects lack style , taste and class. I want to see some mind blowing designs and they don't cost a fortune. I think these people who are designing houses in Anambra has very little exposure to world class ideas. I remember when I was trying to build a house in Nigeria my father sent a lot of the typical Nigerian designs and told me that what everybody is building and that my taste was foreign. Why cant we create our own style using ancient Anambra art and designs. Our ancestors had more imagination than us. The ancient wooden doors , the carvings etc. Something is lacking in us. We are a lost people

Please , as my as I love my Igala brethren the word Omanbala didn't originate from Igala town like a person here claimed. Omanbala is a common surname in many Anambra towns and we real meaning. Oma afia, Oma iru , Oma mbala all have true meaning that prove they are Igbo words. Mbala means open land /farm land

I fail to see the aggression in the message you were referring to. I was dishing out pure unadulterated information.

From time to time, I can get spirited especially when I notice someone getting lackadaisical about his or her ancestry, or disparaging Nri-Igbo contributions to Igbo, Benin and Igala cultural practices.
Alarm bells start going off in my mind, reminiscent of alarm bells that go off in Igbo people, when Ikwerres deny their Igboness.

It doesn't make sense when an Igbo person is annoyed with the Ikwerres for denying their Igboness, while at the same time, the same Igbo person is denying his or her NRI cultural links.
I get it and often times I would correct people but be classy about it, so , that people can respect Nri-Igbo. You are not the only one that love Nri , the descendant of this civilization are littered all over eastern or western flank. But , now , you are sounding like you have some inferior mindset due to your abrasive attitude.

Etebo is a central Midfielder and he scored a few goals from left Midfield(6 goals to be precise)

there is no "tonnes" there
When he played for Warri Wolves he has a prolific scorer. With Sunday Mba , Jude Aneke and Egwuekwe Warrior Wolves were indomitable. I have been following Karo for a long time. He played as 8 and a left side midfielder.

OfoIgbo:
NRI also no longer crowns any kings, NRI used to crown every king in Igboland and Igodomigodo and Igala.

All these changed around 1910 or so, when the. British forces Eze NRI Obalike to sever the cultural links between NRI and the Igbos.
Subsequent warrant chiefs were forced to renounce Eze NRI in their oaths of office before the British recognized them.
It is a long story.

Anyway the crowning of kings was a spiritual exercise, which was why it was totally within the sphere of NRI duties
Nnaa, take it easy , you are too aggressive and boastful. Yes, Nri played a major role in shaping Igbo culture but lets slow down so that people can accord us the respect we deserve.

Also , there is nothing like Nri and Igbo! Many communities paid homage to Eze Nri as a spiritual head who administer rituals. Nri , which I am of the lineage are bonafide Igbo.

Just so we are clear on this. Etebor is not a DM neither did he have any sense modicum of DM duties. As much as I love Karo he packs alot of ATPs but he rarely undertands his primary duties as a DM and that is because that is not his wing. Rohr is so annoying! I prefer Tijani in that role than Etebo , Shehu , Awaziem and Ajayi assume Agu and Ndidi arent available. We have the talents in abundance to execute these game but we have a useless coach. I am so pissed.

It has become very apparent that our midfield is weak link. I have written many times why playing Iwobi as a 10 is a problem but they insult me. Iwobi like to play there because he thinks he can be an Okocha but he is not a cerebral player, not close. I really want to see Karo play there because he started off as a left midfielder and scored tonns of goals.

Rohr is not a good coach. If shehu abdulahi is that good ehy didnt he bring him to the midfield to orotect the defense.
Ola aina or ebuehi are better as right back. Maduka okoye is still inexperienced for international football.
Rohr is simply an average or below average coach. He is tactically deficient thats all. Bringing in attackers when we need to defend.
Rohr is full of sentiment. That man can invite you and keep you on the bench just because make you feel appreciated. He is too old to learn new tricks

Which CB did he convert to a DM against Sierra Leone, I'm waiting for your answer?
Against Algeria and Tunisia he kept the natural midfielders on the bench while Ajayi is floundering all over the field. Again , he ignored our two best available DM/CM and played a combination of Etebo and Aribo against a west African side. I love Karo like kilode for his hardworking and passion but he is not a DM. Aribo had his real test and we can see the result.

Where did he keep Tijani and Agu ?
