Count Akwa Ibom and Cross River out of SS artificial nonsense. What's my business with an Edo man in SS? You include Edo that is faraway in SW in SS, and including Akwa Ibom and Cross River that are true SE states, in fact we are more SE than all Igbo states...and you want to lump us with Edo? Nigerians are sick...lumping people like animals because of oil! The only reason we tolerate the current classification as SS is because it's a mere geopolitical construct, however any new proposed country of SS is dead on arrival for Old Cross River(includes today Akwa Ibom).

We prefer Eastern Nigeria we were once in peacefully before. It's not about oil...Cross River has no oil. If you observe carefully our way of life and approach to things is more diplomatic and melo like SE people...we don't grab guns or use militancy for everything. We don't think like that. Not that I have anything against Ijaw use of militancy, I don't, infact I support them in their cause, but I want to be lumped with people who have been my neighbor peacefully over 5000 yrs and whom we share a lot with.

Personally if I were to divide SS appropriately into SW and East, it would be like this: Warri, Bayelsa, Edo should join SW. Asaba, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River to join East. Problem solved. Bayelsa as many don't know share border, intermarriage and some culture with yoruba....many Nigeria don't know this. Warri and Edo also share culture and ancestry with Yoruba SW. This will be perfect!

The governor stated he is trying to upgrade 3 general hospitals in the 3 senatorial zones in the state to world class levels and they will all come with helipad for emergency cases.. You have always critized obiano as if he is on the levels of any governor in the north or south west..

The cost of one helipad is enough to build a small hospital. Why not build lots of hospitals around and just one helipad in a mega hospital that can cater for serious emergencies? Some people don't even know the purpose of helipad sef. Helipad is mostly for skyscrapers. Once the hospitals he's proposing such for aren't skyscrapers, then it's really of no use building such cos the helicopter can land in an open field at the hospitals.

This man too like media. He Commissions a fence, runs to the media to announce it. All his projects are announced by bloggers and not credible news outlets who will scrutinize his scams

This is an issue that requires great adroitness. Nigeria is daily inching towards the abyss. Any wrong step could plunge us down precipice. There is a need to renegotiate Nigeria. Everyone must be allowed an equitable stake in the fortunes and challenges of country.
The bodies should be released to the families for burial, there is absolutely no need to hold on to them.
On a lighter note, these young men love for military ranks is really astounding. Any man who can fire a pistol is now a general.

Niger Delta militants on Wednesday gave the Federal Government till Friday, June 3, 2016 to release the corpses of 10 pro-Biafra agitators.

The ultimatum is coming four days after some supporters of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra were killed during a clash with security agencies in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The militants also threatened to avenge “unprovoked” killing of Biafra supporters by security operatives.

In a statement issued online, the Niger Delta militants explained that their decision to avenge the attack on the pro-Biafra protesters was reached after an emergency meeting organised by some leaders of various militant groups in the oil rich region.

“If Federal Government fails to release them (corpses) by Friday, June 3, 2016, they will hear from us from Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Edo States,” the militants said.

The leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Democratic Front, Precious Iyoyo, aka General Playboy; and his counterpart of the Concerned Militant Leaders, General Ben, pointed out that it was depressing to observe the level of tactlessness displayed against the people.

They expressed their sympathy for Biafra, adding that they were aware of how members of MASSOB, the Indigenous People of Biafra and the Biafra Independent Movement were killed without provocation.

The militants vowed to go after security operatives in an unprecedented manner, adding that the operation would be carried both on the sea and on the land.

General Ben had specifically said the Federal Government has simply declared war against innocent Nigerians through the action of security operatives on Monday.

He said, “It is now war between the militants and security men. Since innocent and helpless citizens, especially from South-South and South East, have been marked for extinction, we will defend our people.”

When civil servants stop seeing their salaries; when your schools and universities start closing down; when everything comes to a standstill, you will get the message. Today I talked to a seemingly informed south western man and to my surprise he said if he were Buhari he'd abandon the bomb pipes for the niger deltas to suffer as lagos now has oil. Can u imagine? The man lacks the very basics. Most Nigerians, whenever oil discovery is mentioned, jump in hurah. None stop to ask what quantity.
It is pitiable that this man doesn't know that his salary WILL soon stop if these attacks continue....
It's pathetic we go to school but know nothing - even the very basic economics.
Some states have already shut down,though unofficially following prevailing financial situation.
An example of what ll happen if these bombings continue is Zimbabwe. With no foreign exchange the naira will soon become worthless trying to chase few dollars setting off a runaway inflation.
.....NIGERIA IS IN DIRE STRAITS and the situation demands constructive engagement of these agitators as fighting them will always end in a lose lose situation.

I watch some guys engaged on this issue on TVC and they seem to be in agreement that an attempt to use force is likely to backfire. They warned. In any case a use of force can't work cos there's no one standing in front of you. So if you say use of force it's a way of declaring war on innocents. One can always imagine the aftermath considering where we are right now.
