Gbagura: He was saying the yorubas gave we igbos the leeway to how things are being done in the civilized world. He was also affirming that we igbos should remember that yorubas had scored many firsts ahead of us including the first TV station in Africa, the first church, first primary and secondary school, first University, first newspaper, first radio station, first hospital etc while our forebears were still living on trees. How I wish to be a Yoruba man right now. We igbos should always be thankful to the yorubas for accepting us in their land to see road clearly. The bolded is not true. Even the so-called TV station was a matter of days difference while the Igbo enjoyed print news on paper months before Yoruba. |

The abandoned property in Port Harcourt was a calculated gimmick used to create everlasting enmity between the lazy fools and Ndigbo. There is a reason while some Ikwerre in Igweocha claimed not to be Igbo. The same to goes to certain Ijaw and Ogoni peeps who connected to the abandon property saga. How about Ken Saro Wiwa. People should equally not loose sight that Yoruba were staunchly behind the issue of abandon property in Igweocha. |

thebosstrevor1: If they praise you for your ethnic diversity know that one day, they are coming to take what is yours.
Diversity is a killer and a stealer. What diversity does is to take the opportunity meant for natives and give it to non indigenes, then you and non natives start fighting for resources and opportunities in your own land leading to ethnic tensions.
Those that praise the south west for diversity will never allow it in their land, go to their universities and ministries, only natives works there.
They preach diversity when they want to take what is meant for you and then preach you are not from here when you go to their own land to seek opportunity. You are spot on the bolded. Ijaw may be the only minority in Yoruba land yet the last I checked, Ijaw in Lagos State and Ondo States are resigned to firewood splitters. It appears lack of logical deduction in Nigeria stems from high places. |

Politics › Re: OBJ Said Nigeria's Breakup Will Lead To ''Weak Republics''. He Was Right. by Idiko1: 2:27pm On Jun 19, 2021 |
Rossiminku: OBJ was right. Whether you are Ibom Republic, Oduduwa Republic, Biafra Republic, or whatever.
The story will be the same.
Your new republic will be a tiny weak bitch of the western powers just like Equatorial Guinea. They have oil money, which one dictator just sits there sharing among his family and local/foreign cronies, while the population sees little to nothing.
Here's what your president would do.
He will hire foreign mercenaries from say Israel or USA, plus his elite troops to guard his palace, and he will clamp down on opposition, be highly corrupt, and he will have the backing of the western powers.
If he tries to turn good leader and develop the country, he will be assassinated or have western-sponsored rebels sent against him, to topple him.
That's how it works with small, resource-rich African countries.
That's the script that been in operation since before you were born.
Today, you live in a country that has the power and authority to ban Twitter, a major international player.
Your tiny new republic's President will not have the audacity or capacity to ban Twitter.
One threatening phone call from a US marshal, or the French President's SECRETARY, to topple the government in a coup or military invasion, and the idea will be dropped like a hot potato.
I mean, the French govt will be all over you like a rash.
They specialize in subjugating and robbing small West African countries.
Your leader couldn't do anything without their express approval.
They might force you to adopt the French Franc, using all sorts of blackmail methods, denying you a currency, and controlling your money flow.
Are Nigeria's problems insurmountable? Hell no. All it takes is a change of administration to a southern president, as per rotation policy, in a year and half, and suddenly, the south holds power to change things, like PDP did for 16 years (and misused it).
The new southern administration could restructure Nigeria to their hearts content, and that would be that.
Why PDP never did this, I haven't a clue. Expecting a northern administration to now do it, is madness, when YOU couldn't do it as a southern govt.
The Fulani threat is seriously overblown.
Where were they in the 16 years of PDP rule?
Nowhere. They were quiet.
So they are not worth breaking Nigeria up for.
So Nigeria is doable.
Your solution is not to turn into little, insignificant Sierra Leones, Togos, and Malawis.
''Weak republics'', as they were termed by General Olusegun Obasanjo, respected African statesman.
Nations who sneeze, and nobody hears.
Nigeria must stand.
The ONE black nation on Earth that can ban Twitter.
Have them crawling to her to beg for forgiveness, being Africa largest and most buoyant internet ecosystem.
You will miss Nigeria if you lose Her.
The light of the Giant of Africa, the hope of every black man on Earth, Africa's largest economy and rising superpower, the cultural, musical, film, fashion and sports capital of Africa, projected to become the world's 3rd most populous nation after India and China BY 2050, VIRTUALLY GUARANTEEING her industrial and economic advancement, and her investment magnet status as the world's 3rd largest consumer market, THAT LIGHT, THAT HOPE OF THE BLACK RACE, NIGERIA, must not be extinguished from the Earth. The above junk is completely idiotic. How does Obasanjo discern which republic becomes weak? It is certainly not Biafra or Republic of Igboland. |

It's been discovered that the modern Binin historians were manipulating history out of bitterness and envy. They envied the historicity of Ife and Oranmiyan in the making and shaping the cultural course of the Binin empire.
The curators in Binin palace will show you the image of Oranmiyan royally riding on horse into Benin and that singular royal entrance laid the foundation for the greatness of the Benin empire I do not give a ratass about modern or ancient Bini historians. The original home of Yoruba was situated at Oyo-Ile which was 30 to 40 miles north of Ilorin. The later day crap about Ife and Yoruba is a cooked up junk from colorful story tellers. |

Politics › Re: The Things I Hate About My Own Tribe But Still Have High Hopes For The Future by Idiko1: 12:29pm On Jun 19, 2021 |
YouWillNotWin: Okay, guys and gals - I have bashed Fulani herdsmen, Yoruba head slammers, Buhari ( ) and other ethnic bigots and terrorist sympathisers. Now it is time to bash my own people and yes, I mean my own Igbo people.
1. I hate it when we Igbos say we are the best and most superior. We are not!! Yes, we have very good qualities that are worthy of emulation but these do not make us superior to other ethnic groups. All ethnic groups have their own positive peculiarities.
2. We are too head strong, me included, which is why I think we had no kings. We need to allow other people make their point and reason with them before jumping to conclusions based on preconceived notions. Just shut up and listen to other people’s opinions and maybe you will learn a thing or two
3. Money? $$$$$$$$$$ And guess what, we were not always like this. In the past we worked very hard and we became wealthy and prosperous, but this is very different to the unhealthy lust we have today for money at all costs. I know the majority of us at home and abroad work very hard , and make money genuinely, but there is a reasonable minority that will KILL and MURDER and DECAPITATE their own kin for money , money what will not last long and for a life that is very short. When you make money a god you have dehumanised yourself.
4. Igbos are not JEWS. Just STOP, we are full blooded 100% BLACK AFRICANS. To keep parroting this crap about a fallacious Jewish heritage creates the impression that we are ashamed of our real heritage and by inference insulting our ancestors. Yes we have a lot in common with Jews; hardworking, innovative, tough, resilient and we practise circumcision etc, however these traits do not make us Jewish.
5. We are not united. Igbos have to work together for the common good of all and put aside differences and selfish ambition for power and the acquisition of material possessions. Let us put the health and wealth of all our people first before our own interests.
6. Too much international crime, again by a reasonable minority doing all sorts of evil such as drug dealing, human trafficking, kidnapping and other vices. When you cause pain and misery to others to accumulate little wealth that you will leave behind when you die, don’t forget that your children will reap the curses for your evil and you may even die young. Crime does not pay.
7. You cannot all be at the top; some must be leaders and others followers. Be humble and you will be promoted, be proud and you will be disgraced.
8. Bragging and boasting. I hate people who brag and boast. If you work hard and make money, enjoy it quietly and help others, stop showing off and bragging to people who do not have, or they will hate you. Stop boasting about how many cars you have and how many millions of dollars you make. All your wealth could disappear in a second or you could die tomorrow and leave it all behind; then what will you tell God? Rather give glory to God, enjoy your wealth, help others, and improve your community.
If we can fix all these issues of which I am partly guilty excluding the crime element, Biafra will be a heaven on earth.
FYI - I am an ardent supporter of our great leader Nnamdi Kanu and we will surely get to the promised land. Biafra will be crime free and a very prosperous nation. On the bolded, I really do not know if you are Igbo or not. However Ndigbo do not come and shout they are superior to anybody. However Ndigbo will never accept being inferior to anybody born of a woman. In addition, the work ethics of Ndigbo seem to attract suggestive phrases from detractors who are driven by envy. Bragging and boasting are not limited to any ethnic nationality in the shithole called Nigeria. It is idiotic to claim such for your ethnicity. The recent showoff shown among Ndigbo is homed to those who were raised in Lagos or elsewhere distanced from Igboland. |
