Aside Toni Payne and Michelle Alozie she looks like the only other player with a bit of tech.
Are you okay? Only in Nigeria will people even insinuate that "jambody" such as Gift Monday takes a seat on first eleven. By the way, what "Tech" were you writing about? I guess Nigerian tech.

Nigerians have to work on three fundamentals of football: passing, trapping and controlling the ball. It is very frustrating to watch Nigerian girls either passing the ball errantly or aimlessly to their opponents. The coaches must conduct a serious session of passing the ball to a teammate without looking to the floor. How could so-called professional players still trap the ball for an opponent? Even when they managed to pass the ball correctly, few teammates cannot control the ball. If Nigerians can get really good on the mental aspect of this game, they could ride to the final match.
Politics › Re: Why The Biafra Ideology Is One Of The Worst Ideologies In Modern Day Nigeria by Idiko1: 4:04am On Jul 28, 2023
Nathan2016:
Before I start, please know that I am an Igbo by tribe and have lived most of my life in the South East geopolitical zone, which is known as the indigenous homeland of Igbos. My question is simple: convince me why Biafra is the way to go and why the ideology is sane for any sane mind.

A friend and I argued on this and it seems he did not want to see my view on why biafra ideology is one of the worst ideology coming for the Igbo tribe. Now these are my reasons;

- [ ] Geography: The biafra map in the 1970/72 was well laid and the map cover many state in the south south geopolitical zone and even benue which is currently middle belt or north central geopolitical zones. Since then till today, most of the areas have developed autonomous mindset because of the geopolitical divisions in 1999. Most people in the south south region doesn’t want to hear anything biafra and the north central don’t even want to associate themselves with the ideology. This spans across tribes as the minority tribes in the south south geopolitical region don’t see themselves as biafrans. Now if the south south region is not in tune with the ideology, that makes the only geopolitical zone that is pushing the ideology south east. South east is currently situated in the center of the Southern region making it a landlock region. A landlock region is a region that doesn’t have access to the sea. So both importation and navy security is dependent upon the surrounding states which is the south south zones. This affect any region economically and security wise. Is there countries that are landlocked? Yes, but most of them are very poor and depends on other country for import. They can easily be invaded by foreign countries. So in general it is a bad idea to think of it.

- [ ] Economic growth: the south east and generally in Nigeria is having one of the worst economic crises. The south east zone are not doing better than other zones in terms of economy. The natural resources we have is mostly the same with the ones nigeria has and where has that lead us to as a country? These natural resources are currently going out of use. Most countries are now talking of clean energy, so oil and so on is not something to depend on as a country or new country. We all know how difficult nigeria takes to maintain its own refinery. So why is a region that is not economically stable shouting for biafra?

- [ ] Agriculture: by now I would have thought the biafra war would teach us something but it didn’t. Till today, our agricultural output is still a sham. This is the same for every part of the country especially the southern region. When are we going to focus on the agricultural sector? How can you be wanting biafra when you can barely boost of feeding yourselves. So does it make sense.

- [ ] Political system: I always ask this my friend this particular question. When we eventually get biafra, is it angels that will take over our country administration or another cycle of thieves. There are few politicians in the south east or even Nigeria as a whole that command respect as a leader with No questionable character. So who are going to be our leaders because if it’s these MNK and the other Finland guy, you will be having tyrant on your hands. So those who are pro biafra, tell me how it’s going to work?

- [ ] Commerce and Trade: people from south east and generally Igbos are known to be traders. Now a wise trader always look for expansion into other market. Why would someone who is into trading be chanting to control a region that is the same size as one state in the North? Obviously if the biafra is given to the zone, the Nigerian country can wake up and shut the business of Igbos or tax them heavily as the see fit, after all they are foreigners and doesn’t have the advantages of the citizens in Nigeria.

- [ ] Real Estate: the two major cities in Nigeria will the most economic growth currently are lagos and Abuja in terms of real estate. The Igbos are know to own lots of real estate investments in those states. That bring me to ask, who in their right mind will be fighting to have their own country when their outside investment is huge in their former country. Now most people will say, the Nigerian government cannot take their property from them when biafra happens but that’s speculation and any country can make law to Favour their citizens and people against other foreigners. Even as a citizen of Nigeria, lagos is already making moves on it and the only thing holding them is the constitution. If not, I wonder the fate of Igbos or people from south east.

- [ ] Security: There are two ways to take a country. One is through diplomatic means with referendum and the other is through force with war. At the moment, the Nigeria country is not ready to have any diplomatic talk on the issue of biafra and if it is through war, I mean how is it going to work? But killing and carting away police rifles and fighting it with a country that has international support. Remember the south east zone is landlord. So troops can enter through akwa ibom, delta, rivers, benue, cross rivers, kogi. Now unless you are going to force the south south geopolitical zones in joining biafra war, I don’t think you have a chance.

These are few points that makes it a bad idea for people to even think or consider the biafra ideology.
Are the Igbos marginalized in the present country, Yes.

But who isn’t. Most poor people everywhere is marginalized and the only solution is when we take the bull by the horn. The Igbos should start demanding excellence from their leaders. More than other zones. Our leaders needs to work extra hard to make thing’s possible and life easier for Igbos and everyone living in the zones.
Nigeria right now is facing economic hardships across the geopolitical zones.

Please if you think the biafra ideology is better and can work, I want to hear it. Give me the reason why it is.
Rant of a delusional rat.

Racoon:
Historian in the saddle, undetected by history. Trained by the Brits, full of revolutionary energy. It is strange we are yet to see Major Adewale Ademoyega as the brain behind the January 15, 1966 coup d’etat.

Dim Emeka Ojukwu thought Emmanuel Ifeajuna was the unseen boss. Some give it to Chukwuma Nzeogwu. Uninformed compatriots still refer to it as an Igbo coup. All these assertions, have over the years shielded the man who worked it all out.

Ademoyega, from Ode Remo in today’s Ogun State, was 32 at the time the young Majors struck. By young majors, I mean Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna, Christian Anuforo, Donatus Okafor, Humphrey Chukwuka, Timothy Onwuatuegwu and Adewale Ademoyega.

Like Ifeajuna, Ademoyega also graduated from the University. Both also attended the Mons Officer Cadet School, Aldershot-England, like Okafor. While Ifeajuna earned a degree in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan, Ademoyega possessed a degree in History from London University.

Nzeogwu, Anuforo, Chukwuka and Onwuatuegwu were bred at the elite Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. All the other majors were Ademoyega’s seniors militarily because he enlisted in 1961 and was commissioned in 1962. Nzeogwu was 29, Ifeajuna, 31.

What stood Ademoyega out was political experience. He joined the Army as a District Officer[D.O.] Ifeajuna had little administrative experience having worked as a senior clerical officer and teacher. Nzeogwu’s best was a secondary school certificate.

Ademoyega enlisted with one thing on his mind: to grab political power. “ I came to the Army with a heart pointed towards finding a solution to Nigeria’s political problems,” he said in his book, Why We Struck.

The day Ademoyega faced the Military Selection Board, he made friends with Lt. Ifeajuna. The other civilian who turned up for the interview was, Uche Chukwumerije, who was at the University of Ibadan with Ifeajuna.

According to the Historian: “ Ifeajuna received Uche and me particularly well. We discussed the political turn of events in Nigeria and unanimously came to the conclusion that the military was likely to be the only solution.”

Chukwumerije passed the test but failed to join the Army. He had expressed surprise at seeing Ifeajuna in the Army recalling how he developed cold feet after a planned demonstration during their Ibadan years.

At the time, Ben Obumselu, was president of the Students Union while Ifeajuna served as Director of Information. Ademoyega promised Chukwumerije that should Ifeajuna repeat that in the military, he would be appropriately handled.

When Ademoyega reported for training at the Military Depot, Zaria on October 31, 1961, the closest person to him was, Lt. Nzeogwu, Training Officer[Subalterns]. Nzeogwu offered his car to his cadet friend to move about town.

Next phase of training was at Mons Officers Cadet School. Ademoyega was commissioned Lieutenant on April 12, 1962. On return to Nigeria, he was posted to the Second Battalion-Abeokuta. That was shortly before the Western Region went wild.

In the absence of the Fourth Battalion, Ibadan which was in the Congo on a peace mission, the Second Battalion was sent to the regional capital. Later in 1962, Ademoyega’s battalion also served in the Central African nation.

The British were apparently monitoring Lieutenant Ademoyega. After receiving his Commission, he visited the Nigeria High Commission, London. The subaltern tried to let Lt.Col Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, a superior officer and Defence Attache, know that the officer corps of the Army had to be Nigerianised.

He also made this known to another senior officer, Lt.Col. Samuel Ademulegun. For an officer who was yet to be posted, this signaled danger. Thus British officers halted the posting of graduates as combatants after Ademulegun failed to move to the Education Corps.

Lt.Col. Ademulegun, alias ‘Cyintomen,’ was the sixth university graduate to join the Nigeria Army. The first five were Ojukwu, Victor Banjo, Olufemi Olutoye, Ifeajuna and Oluwole Rotimi, all his seniors.

By 1965, Major Ademoyega was ready to hit political power. The man had done his calculations well. He loathed Ojukwu under whom he once served in Kaduna. Both were Historians. Ojukwu graduated from Cambridge and was the son of a millionaire.

Banjo was Ademoyega’s pal and had revolutionary tendencies. Like Ojukwu, he was a Lt. Col. That was not good for ambition because both Ojukwu and Banjo were also nursing presidential plans. They could have known about the Majors’ plan.

Olutoye got to know, from Nzeogwu, in far away India when they went for a course with Major Gabriel Okonweze. It is like Ademoyega deliberately kept away fellow Yoruba officers. Lt. Fola Oyewole was only called up by Ifeajuna a day to the coup.

Major Olusegun Obasanjo shared apartment with Ademoyega in Kaduna and was fondly called ‘Ezigbo Obam’[My good Oba] by Nzeogwu. Neither Major Ademoyega nor Major Nzeogwu exposed the plot. Captain Ganiyu Adeleke was drafted in the last minute.

Major Ademoyega looked at Ifeajuna’s credentials as Nigeria’s first Commonwealth gold medalist. He picked Nzeogwu as the country’s first Military Intelligence Officer and banked on the Sandhurst training of Anuforo and Onwuatuegwu.

Ademoyega also made sure the Igbo officers he picked were highly detribalized. Nzeogwu spoke fluent Hausa and attended St. John’s College, Kaduna with Anuforo. Okafor who was born in Kaduna and was said to have a Tiv mom.

Ifeajuna taught at Ilesha Grammar School & Ebenezer High School, Abeokuta. Ademoyega monitored all these people and the plan was to free Chief Obafemi Awolowo. The officer who organized the aircraft that would bring Awo from Calabar Prison was Major Theophilus Nzegwu, the first Igbo Air Force officer, whose wife bore a Yoruba name, Aina.

Ademoyega and Nzeogwu fixed January 15, as D Day. He was in Kaduna for that. And Major Ademoyega was supposed to broadcast to the nation. He did not task himself with the arrest of anyone.

The coup failed in Lagos. He blamed Major D.Okafor. Ademoyega ran to Kaduna. Then found himself in Biafra. He punched Ifeajuna in prison, survived the war.At the end he was bold enough to admit it was not an Igbo coup. That followed him to the grave in 2007.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2018/08/ademoyega-leader-of-first-coup/%3famp=1 Lalasticlala
Lt.Col. Ademulegun was never a university graduate. He enlisted in the British West African Frontier Force as a recruit and rose to the rank of a Sergent. By the way, Ojukwu graduated from Oxford.

Will these regions stop the north or?

How can a person focus on 23 players with no single ball joggler? The current SF team is pure accident. Most of the players have absolutely nothing to offer the eyes. The team's so-called superstar will fall to the ground on a blow of air from the opponent's mouth. They are so predictable their opponents easily intercept wayward passes meant for teammates. If Abiodun and onyiniZidane were in midfield then Canada won't have seen ball to play.

SF needs players that know how to pass the ball among themselves and won't be shooting from midfield.
Did you watch the match at all? Or did you watch from a carton? If Demehin and Abiodun were the bedrock of Falcon's defense, the Nigerian team would have been on the plane to Nigeria because the number of goals the Falcons would have conceded should not allow them to scale to the next round. Demehin and Abiodun had no business in Falcons team presently.

Plumtre cause this yellow card for her team mate, she is too slow i beg
Ordega time for super falcons should be over by now. Yoi can't be playing what you use to play then without improvement
No, she is not slow talk less of too slow. She is the most technically equipped player on the Nigerian Falcons.

This no22 for falcons is the best for me
She is one of the best in the field. I guess #10 is equally deserving too.
