Sharing information is a good thing. It helps people know what's happening and where, stay updated on current affairs and also, make informed decision, where it concerns them. But, how about sharing false information? How destructive could that be? Well, you are about to find out. (Disclaimer: The YOU, I, THEM, THEY, HE or SHE pronouns in this content, is not referring to YOU or any other person reading this article. And as such, it doesn't imply that you did or didn't do anything written in this article of A Thousand Ways To Accidentally Cause Someone’s Death Without Knowing It) A Thousand Ways To Accidentally Cause Someone’s Death Without Knowing It By Your Action (Way 998) False information is a very dangerous and destructive weapon, especially when it's been shared and wide spread across social media platforms. It can tarnish one's image, totally destroy one's reputation. Heck, it can even cause one to commit suicide. Imagine you went to the market to get something for dinner. You saw a handsome looking young pastor, receiving the beating and disgrace of his life by angry mob, who were reacting to false accusation. You got close to find out what crime the pastor has committed; he was accused of rape. Without hesitation or further verification, you brought out your iPhone. Lucky for you, your phone camera is very sharp. Sharp enough to capture that person’s reputation that you are about to tarnish. After recording the innocent man, being beaten and disgraced for a crime he never committed, you saved the video for further destruction. You head back home after buying what you went for. You are about to prepare something for dinner, and you can't just wait to upload that video to your social media platforms and watch as your friends and followers rain insults and curses on the man; little did you know that you are about to be responsible for the death of an innocent man. You brought out your iPhone, logged on and uploaded the video. And you went ahead to caption the video, "This pastor raped the girl he went to pray for". Within few minutes, the video gained millions of views and shares. Your friends and followers saw the video and shared it to their friends, their friends shared it to their friends, and so on, until it got to a copy and paste blogger, who without investigation, posted it on their blog, with even worst caption. Your video has circulated. You are getting the reactions you've always wanted, and you are happy. The video was shared until it got to the falsefully accused pastor, who was already traumatized. He watched his reputation as a pastor, being completely destroyed by the trending video. "No more hope", he thought to himself. "I can't live with this shame and disgrace". "There's nothing left to live for". He took a rope and hanged himself to death. After the destructions had been done, the truth was uncovered, as events unfold. It was later proved that it was a set up, well planned by the girl who claimed she was raped, just to tarnish the man's image and reputation. Unfortunately, she succeeded with her plans. And you, without further findings, published the false information on social media, and ended up not only helping the accuser tarnish the man's reputation, but also causing the man to commit suicide. Your action has caused the death of an innocent man. And you might not even know or find out that it was your doings that caused the man's death. Ps: False or unconfirmed information is very dangerous and capable of causing harm and much destructions. We should be mindful of the type of information we share online. Be sure to investigate and verify any information you see online before you believe or share them. Qst: Have you ever been a victim of false information, if you have, how did you feel? You can share your experiences in the comment section. Source: https://www.dixcus.com

A Thousand Ways To Accidentally Cause Someone’s Death Without Knowing It By Your Inaction (Way 999) Social Media, according to a dictionary, is defined as "websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking". Billions of people use social media. Studies shows that 49% of the world's total population uses social media. Some use it for fun, some use it to share information, some use it to grow their businesses, some use it to connect and make new friends. Sadly, there are some who uses social media to share others misfortunes. Imagine you were walking by the road side, and you saw a crowd. You walked into the crowd to know what was going on; a young lady has just been hit by a speeding vehicle. That is an unfortunate moment for the lady, as she lays there, unconscious but still breathing. People walk to the scene, takes picture and walks away. A single dial to 911 or other emergency number could have resulted to an early arrival of an ambulance/medical professionals, which could have helped to save a life. But, just like others, you walked to the scene, (with no intention of making a difference) took some pictures and walked away, leaving the dying lady to her fate. "After all, she's surrounded by people, they will help her". They will help! The same statement made by 90% of people who had left the scene before you; people who are just like you. You could have stepped up, call others to help you take her to the nearest hospital, or simply dial an emergency number and save a life. But, you choose to take pictures for social media. 10 minutes later, a good samaritan arrived the scene and unlike you, decided to make a different. He took out his phone and dialed the emergency number. An ambulance arrived the scene 10 minutes after they received the call. Unfortunately, the lady had just passed on. Of cause, you are not responsible for her death. You did not kill her, that's for sure, but she died because you choose not to act. Your inaction is responsible for her death. This is not just a writing for content sake. This has happened and still happening. Like we earlier stated, social media can be used to share and spread information. This includes bad, good and motivational information. Imagine if you took a picture or record a video of yourself trying to save a life. You will probably end up saving a life, share the moments on social media to motivate others to do the same. Feel good now? Ok, good. Let’s proceed to finding out how one could possibly cause the death of someone, without even knowing or possibly finding out about it. Learning how your actions and inactions could cause someone’s death can help you prevent it, thereby, saving a life. Here we go! (Disclaimer: The YOU, I, THEM, THEY, HE or SHE pronouns in this content, is not referring to YOU or any other person reading this article. And as such, it doesn't imply that you did or didn't do anything written in this article of A Thousand Ways To Accidentally Cause Someone’s Death Without Knowing It) A Thousand Ways To Accidentally Cause Someone’s Death Without Knowing It By Your Action (Way 1000) Most people love eating bananas. According to research, more than 400 million people consume over 100 billion bananas yearly. I’m guessing you love bananas, too. But do you know that your love for bananas could cause someone’s death, if you are a careless, and worst, an unorganized type? Imagine you are in a public place, you saw a ripe good looking banana. Money is not the problem, so you walked few steps to buy the fruit. On your way home, you took a look at the banana and how inviting it looks, and you couldn’t just wait to get to your destination, before having them. So, you peeled off and ate few bananas as you walk. As an unorganized and careless person, you threw the banana peels on a pedestrian road, and even some, on stairs. You walked home to your loved ones, not minding what negative impact your action could cause to an un-noticing person. Someone is about to become a victim of your carelessness. A handsome young man, who just received a letter of appointment, after many years of job hunting. Full of happiness, he was walking home to broadcast the good news to his family. On his way home, and not watching his steps, he stepped on the banana peel you left on the stairs; going down with his head hitting a stair. He was rushed to the hospital by good samaritans, where he was confirmed dead by a doctor, due to a serious damage to his head. Your action has just caused a young man his life, and sorrows to his family. Thank you jacobjamie, for taking it upon yourself to vindicate this innocent man. Many people could careless, as long as they are not related to the victim. I can't even imagine the kind of pains this man will be feeling right now. We should be mindful of the kind of information we share on social media, and we should also get our facts right before believing anything we see online. |

"Give me one good reason why I should join cultism. I promise to, If your reason is convincing enough." Me to my cultist friend... He was speechless. Useless lads wasting their lives and causing pains and sorrows to their parents and loved ones |
They will probably drop it off somewhere, when they have taken the valuables. I suggest you follow the route they followed when they made away with the bag. Keep your eyes on hidden places. Good luck Ps: Don't go alone if possible |

Came across this thread of a Lastma officer, dancing whilst on duty, and it really, really made me happy. Some would say that the man is drunk. I don't think so, really. I really wish I could be like that man. Happiness is free, true, but not everyone has it. And for some who do, they don't have the nerve to express it in the manner this brave man did ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiYHl98Dt4E Let's be more like him. Let's be happy; it's free! |

You are the problem we have in this country, not the government. You really are a disgrace to your tribe. Cc: Seun, this guy needs a serious ban |
Report to the police and get him arrested. Being drunk shouldn't be an excuse. He needs to pay for damages. I don't know how some adults would willingly choose to get them selves drunk and behave foolishly. And according to you, this isn't the first time. You must not let this slide, but whatever you do, just don't take the law into your hand by fighting or doing any harm to him, for instance. |
OhBiafra:Stop this nonsense |

. This is how to comfort someone that is depressed and suicidal? Telling him/her that sin is the problem. Mr Saint, welldone.
