please permit my grammatical error please.

I work as an house keeper in one hotel here in kogi State. They do pay us 18k monthly.

One outstanding rules of the hotel is " don't collect any customer number, inrespective of the situation." so day before yesterday morning a guest check in, then yesterday morning I went inside to clean his room. I greeted him and start my cleaning, then he start asking me where I'm from, and my level of education and I told him. he said me based on the way I greeted and attend to him.

So later in the afternoon when he was checking out he came to the reception and ask for the guy That clean his room. he don't know my name cos I don't tell him.

They called me and in the presence of my supervisor and the deputy director the man ask for my phone number. at first I was shocked. I don't even know what to do or say.

For it not to look as if I don't want to give him, then I called out the number for him. He said he's travelling that when he will be coming back, he will call me I then thank him and went back to my department.

I get to work today my HOD said the deputy director is calling me in the office only for me to get there and he handed me my deducted salary that I am sacked. I asked why, he said I should meet my supervisor that he don't have time, I start begging him even though at first I don't know what happened.

I went to meet the supervisor and he said I gave out my contact to a customer yesterday. I went back to meet the deputy director and he ask the security to ordered me out.

I was weeping as I was trekking home this morning.

only God knows where I will see another work to take care of my siblings again. cry

Health / Re: Is It Possible To Grow Taller At 20? by ifada123: 1:46pm On May 22, 2020
kikero:

The answer is no. You won't grow any taller than your current height.

As someone has put it upthread, the part at the end of your long bones called the epiphysis, where most of your growing goes on during puberty has fused completely.

Also, height is wired into your genetic code, as well as nutrition to some extent. No one factor controls for height.

If you have the money though, your best hope is limb lenghtening surgery. (Used to increase height in people with a genetic predisposition to being short). This article gives more information.

But don't let your short height hold you back though. Life is life.

It is possible I was 5.6 at 20 today I am 6.1

This statement is the worst ..heard from an educator.
Teaching job is worst than slavery ..I as a school coordinator with two annexes don't even earn up to 30k monthly.. Anyone with a business idea should help o.. I don tire..

That man speaks without thinking.

Educational revolution is currently going on.
Soon children will see no need of going to a four wall classroom to learn but teachers will always be needed to render there service, then school owners like him will be made useless.

They will rent there building out for pig farming.
If and only if he has a permanent site

What is paining you is that from what you see here you observed there are teachers still living well.

You want teachers to remain poor so that you can be using them like slave.

The last number for the 100th was supposed to be 266 and not 265. Your solution is similar to mine just that you were rushing when solving.

You were supposed to compute as (365!)/(265!*365100).
I observed it
It was supposed to be (1/365)^100 x356P100

Exactly what I have solved here, *just added that the probability of having at least a pair of students whose birthday is the same will be:
1-0.0000003073 which is 0.99999... And that's approximately 1.

So if we pick out a pair of students at random assuming that they are sure to share birthdays (probably 1) then we have 98 students left, out of which there may still be some pairs of same birthdays. There's got to be how to get a specific number of students who are likely not to share birthdays... Maybe someone can help figure this out.

It has already been answers now.
It is unlikely to find a student how do not share birth date

Jackpot never mentioned anything about probability. How did probability get involved in the solution?
To get the number of people you need to probability
Education / Re: Nairaland Mathematics Clinic by ifada123: 11:00am On Apr 30, 2020
naturalwaves:

SOLUTION
We need to take a step by step approach in order to get this.
Since 29th of February is not included, this means that we are dealing with just 365 days.
Having said that, what is the expected probability of the 1st student? That is going to be 365/365 days
What is the expected probability of the 2nd student? 364/365
Third? 363/365
Fourth....362/365
Fifth..................361/365
This is how it will go on till we get to the 100th student which will be 266/365 but we cannot do this as it will be too cumbersome.
Now, let us sort the denominator. Every component in the denominator is 365 i.e 365/365 * 364/365 * 363/365................*266/365.
This means that the denominator will be 365100.

How about the numerator? We have 365! but we are not going to be needing the whole of it. We only need the area from 365 to 266. How do we get this?
All we need do is to divide 365! by 265!.

Thus, the desired solution to the problem is;
(365!) / (265! * 365100).

Modified:
So, I have gotten a calculator,
(365!) / (265! * 365100). = 3.0725 * 10-7 approximately.
That is around 0.00000030725 approx.
As you can see, the probability is very slim as it is almost unlikely that out of 100 students, none will share a birthday which makes a lot of sense.

the answer then would be totally strange. Or don't you think? wink

I thought in same direction but I don't think E=NP should apply.
To get number of people they did not ask us for the probability
So that's why I said almost everyone will have same birth date with someone.

Or

It is unlikely for someone not to have same birth date with another.

Does figures are there for proof.

But humans are discrete data so you make it discrete

That is 0 no person no birth date mate

jackpot:
yes bro. cool

Get to work. I need to see your solution. wink
Let's go.

Probability of first person number having birth day with another is 364/365
Second 363/365
Third 362/365
......... 265/365
So
Prob of not have same of 100 persons will be =

(First ) and (second ) and (third)and....×(100th no)
=(First not) x (second not) x (third not)x.....(100th not)
(364/365)×(363/365)×(362/365).......x(265/360)
=(1/365)^100 x 364 P100
=

Almost everyone will share same birth day
