I even posted a link of the website and the muslim saying it on al jaezzra... Yet u chose ignorance. I always back up my information with evidence and facts. I have a word document with links to almost a hundred research work regarding Islam. Evidence is very important and lies must be avoid at every instance. No al Taqiyya allowed. |

Esdb3: Seun is not a christian? What is he then.
The no marriage practise when I said is not in the bible, I meant it is not a command, it was not enforced. It was just a suggestion by Paul. The catholics now making it compulsory for people who want to devote themselves is what I labelled 'wrong'.
They don't worship mary? They pray to mary. What will you call that. U want to continue in these silly lines of thought.. I will explain again. 1. Seun has mentioned on his blog that he does not belong to any organised religion or christianity. It is safe to say he is either agnostic or atheist though his fear for muslim fatwas make him appear to favour the muslim sentiments. 2. Yes it is not compulsory to be unmarried to serve god and this is why only priests who know that their minds are made up choose to take the call to go unwed in the catholic church. U can serve God in several other ways in the catholic church even if u are wed. 3. They don't worship mary. They call on her to pray for them, they also call on a myriad of saints and angels to pray for them. The don't worship all the angels and saints do they?? Then why accuse them of worshipping Mary. The appropriateness of such calls for pray is what u should be asking Catholics to explain to you rather than alleging they worship mary. |

DrMaths: [b]While many parts of the world are becoming Muslim at an alarming rate, other areas are actually experiencing a dramatic rise in Christian converts. One such place is Indonesia where it is estimated that over 2 million people convert from Islam to Christianity each year. That’s about one person every 15 seconds. Even more encouraging, if this rate of conversion continues, by 2035, Indonesia will no longer be a largely Muslim nation. Indonesia is currently the largest Islamic nation in the world with over 200 million professing Muslims. While these conversion numbers are good news for Christians, Muslims aren’t taking the news so well. In fact, they are so concerned about this new “alarming” trend of Christian conversions that they’ve launched a marketing campaign aimed at saving the Muslim youth. They call it the “Save Maryam Campaign”. The primary component of the campaign is a video that depicts Christians as infiltrators who trick an unhappy young girl named Maryam into the Christian lifestyle. They claim that most Christian converts are youth and propose launching the country’s first Muslim youth TV channel. Another aspect of the campaign is a phone helpline that will assist youth in understanding the social and cultural issues that impact their lives. Much of the Christian influence in the country can be attributed to Christian radio and television stations and telephone hot lines that not only preach the word of God but offer counsel for personal and domestic problems.
Why It Matters The dramatic rise in Christianity in Indonesia is something to praise God for. The fact that Muslims are so concerned about it only lends proof to the effectiveness of the evangelism efforts being conducted in the country. It is also interesting that the new Muslim campaign utilizes many of the same methods that were so successful at converting individuals to Christianity.

Abuamam: 1. You state that he stayed in Galillee 'for sometime' yet it was the very same feast he still went for. What is the duration of this feast please, that you are trying to imply that he stayed in Galilee sufficiently to justify the yet? This point is academic in any case, because all these versions omit the word 'yet'. This implies that Jesus is not going to the feast AT ALL.
Bible > John > Chapter 7 > Verse 8
◄ John 7:8 ► Parallel Verses New International Version You go to the festival. I am not going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come."
New Living Translation You go on. I'm not going to this festival, because my time has not yet come."
English Standard Version You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come.”
New American Standard Bible "Go up to the feast yourselves; I do not go up to this feast because My time has not yet fully come."
NET Bible You go up to the feast yourselves. I am not going up to this feast because my time has not yet fully arrived."
American Standard Version Go ye up unto the feast: I go not up unto this feast; because my time is not yet fulfilled.
Douay-Rheims Bible Go you up to this festival day, but I go not up to this festival day: because my time is not accomplished.
Darby Bible Translation Ye, go ye up to this feast. I go not up to this feast, for *my* time is not yet fulfilled.
Are all of these versions the word of God or not? If not, does this mean that the word of God has been corrupted in these versions? Or does it mean there was no corruption as you and your cohort have always maintained, and Jesus lied?
2. You claim you are not a jew, and you do not live by the law; I am least interested in that. I am interested in whether you believe the OT is God's word as revealed by the trinity or not? I do not ask you about the laws which you claim not to live by. I pointed out a simple narration in which your trinity sent a 'lying spirit' to 400 prophets. Is this the same trinity you believe in or no.
Take your time. Do not rush to answer. I have given u explanations for the quoted verse. It is left to u to decide if u see the truth of it or not. What amuses me is that u are making all this effort to justify the clear permission to lie and deceive as advocated by Mohammed and his quran. I advise that u create a topic on it and bring this up so that other Christians may better explain it to you. |

Abuamam: I need analysis for this also... For the old testament, go ask an old testament Jew for explanations. I have explained lots of time and yet u guys fail to appreciate my effort. I don't live by the law, I am not a 4000year old Jew. I am a Christian. But u quoted this 1.(John 7: -"Go up to the feast yourselves; I do not go up to this feast because My time has not yet fully come." 2.Yes, He did go to the feast. 1.(John 7:10) - "But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as it were, in secret." As with many alleged Bible contradictions, when the context is examined the answer becomes clear. John 7 starts off with Jesus walking in Galilee. His brothers said in verses 3-4, "Depart from here, and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may behold Your works which You are doing. 4For no one does anything in secret, when he himself seeks to be known publicly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world." We see that Jesus' brothers wanted Him to go into Judea publicly, but they did not believe who He was, "For not even His brothers were believing in Him," (v. 5). Jesus responded by telling them to go up themselves because His time had not yet come. The statement "His time had not yet come" refers to both Jesus revealing Himself to the world as well as the time of his death which the Pharisees would later arrange. He sent His brothers on their way. Then in verse 9 it says that Jesus stayed in Galilee. We do not know how long He stayed there but it is evident that Jesus did so for a while and then decided to go up to Judea in secret. "But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as it were, in secret." So we see in verse 8 that Jesus meant he was not going up to the feast "right then and there." Jesus stayed for a time in Galilee and later went up to Judea. There is no problem. |

true2god: Ifeann thanks a lot, you had indeed explained the context of the verses, quran 5:32-34, better than the way I could have, though we share 99% of the understanding of the verse. I need not explain more.
Lying is fully endorssed in Islam. See hadith below:
Bukhari Volume 3, Book 49, Number 857: Narrated Um Kulthum bint Uqba: That she heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “He who makes peace between the people by INVENTING good information or saying good things, is not a liar.”
Muslim Book 032, Number 6303: Humaid b. ‘Abd al-Rahman b. ‘Auf reported that his mother Umm Kulthum daughter of ‘Uqba b. Abu Mu’ait, and she was one amongst the first emigrants who pledged allegiance to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him), as saying that she heard Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: A liar is not one who tries to bring reconciliation amongst people and speaks good (in order to avert dispute), or he conveys good.
Bukhari Vol.1 Bk.7 No.1331 “The Prophet said, ‘I have been given five things which were not given to any one else before me.
1. Allah made me victorious by awe by His terrorizing my enemies.
2. The earth has been made for me.
3. Booty has been made lawful for me yet it was not lawful for anyone else before me.
4. I have been given the right of intercession.
5. Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation only but I have been sent to all mankind.’”
Quran-8:1— “They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war (booty). Say: “(such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger: So fear Allah, and keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe.”
Quran-8:41— “And know that out of all the booty that ye may acquire (in war), a fifth share is assigned to Allah and the Messenger, and to near relatives, orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer, – if ye do believe in Allah and in the revelation We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Testing, – the Day of the meeting of the two forces. For Allah hath power over all things.”
At this age and time, it is almost impossible for muslims to keep up with lies and deceptions. Al-taqiyya is the 6th pillar of Islam. Very accurate analysis.. U are very correct al Taqiyya is the de facto 6th pillar of Islam. |
Christianity Etc › Re: How I Shut Down A Woman Who Spoke Against Jesus And The Church On A London Train by Ifeann(f): 12:41pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
LoudJams: hey guys, I just thought of reactivating my nairaland account to share this story.
Last sunday I got on a train in London and halfway through the journey I heard a guy on the phone telling his friend how God delivered him during his dark times and how he learnt so many lessons from life. The guy looked really rough but happy. The conversation was loud and everyone around could hear his testimony. All of a sudden, I just heard a white lady screaming at the top of her voices saying "I hate going to church, the pastors are thieves, they took all my money away bla bla bla".
She also spoke against tithe, but then I had to discern what her goal really was and which spirit was speaking through her. The next minute she claimed "she donated £100k to a church and the pastor told her she is possessed with demons".. When I realised her aim was to discredit the testimony of the young man on the phone and make the church look bad in the eyes of others, that was when I stood up on my feet and challenged the spirit speaking through her. That was when she now kept quiet.
The first question she asked me was "are you born again??" "Do you pay tithes"?? I was really astonished though....
Funny enough there were other Christians who sat down quietly listening to the negative comments she was uttering. After shutting her down, she kept quiet muttering to herself saying; "oh he thinks he is a Big Man, standing up to me"...
I left the train at the next stop feeling encouraged. And I will like to encourage my fellow christians not to fall for these type of people. Rather let us be bold and courageous, in the face of evil. Ur story is awkward... U claim u shut her down. How did u "shut her down". Like a Christian with love or in anger like anybody else. Did u make ur points with scripture etc. And did you try to understand her pain. If she was doped by prosperity or word of faith pastors then she has every right to be upset. You would have engaged her in a discussion or taken her number to discuss It with her later cos I know how terribly those london trains are. I just saw this story as awkward. |

Abuamam: You think so because their theology does not suit you. I believe ALL xtian theologies are in error. In fact, to me, the Jehovah Witnesses are more theologically acceptable than trinitarians; precisely because of the evidence you gave. I am basing my own opinion on good character and good works; since the extant bible purports to say... "By their works, ye shall know them" Of course, there are bigotted, crass, hate-filled individuals in every religion, so I am not giving a blanket thumbs up to ALL Catholics. Just most of them. Dude u keep quoting by their fruit u shall know them but u just can't see how it exposes Islam for the evil it is. The fruits of Islam is rotten Paedophilia Child marriage Adultery(polygamy) Domestic abuse Prostitution(temporary marriage) Assasinations(of Mohammeds critics which Mohammed proved of) Slavery Sex slavery Senseless fighting. Murder Hatred Are all tenets and "virtue" in Islam. U Muslims have murdered each other for hundreds of years evil till this day including killing ur own prophets grandkids. U kill non Muslims all the time. Why can u see how rotten the fruits of Islam is. |

Abuamam: If the verse "by their works ye shall know them" is anything to go by, Catholics are the ONLY good Christians. (Well JW are nice too). They build free or cheap schools, hospitals, orphanages. And their priests; among whom I have had a few friends; eschew avarice, wealth and greed, and tend to concentrate on the poor masses, rather than ingratiate themselves with rich church members. They also undergo rigorous decade long training in theology, languages and philosophy among other classic arts and sciences, before qualifying to minister, unlike the self-acclaimed former armed robbers; as the new generation pastors like to claim; who undergo a week of mushroom training at some backyard 'bible school'; and are then let loose like ravening wolves upon a gullible flock. I am a neutral, but going by works and character, the Catholics have my thumbs up by a loooong mile. Of course, as a Muslim, I believe all are wrong, theology wise. Lol abuamam a reason I enjoy chatting with you is that u truly seem like an objective nice person and smarter than the likes of rilwanye, empire, roypcain etc but I don't know why u can't see Islam for what it is. Its terror, fraud and villainy. Anyway I wanted to point out that we are talking about Christians, JW are not Christians, but it has strong community which is good. However, they are a cult just like Mormons and Islam. They all deny Christ as the divine son of God. |

Salient points: 1 - It explicitly states that this was a commandment to the Children of Israel, i.e. the Jews! This is not a commandment to all people, and it certainly should not be misused as if this is Allah's command to Muhammad's people. 2 - Even if this were a command to the Muslims, there's still an escape clause: "unless it be for murder or spreading mischief in the land." If someone is "spreading mischief", he can still be killed. Now let's think for a moment. The would-be Times Square bomber considers Americans to be spreading mischief in Palestine and around the world (practically all Muslims I know think this, even the ones who are American citizens). Accordingly, even if this verse were to apply to someone like Faisal Shahzad, he would still be justified in his slaughter. As if this weren't obvious enough from the verse itself, the Qur'an further expounds this point in the very next verse. 5:33 says The punishment of those who wage war against God and His Apostle, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter. This verse is referring to the Muslims, not the Jews anymore, as we can tell in the shift from past tense to present tense. And here, the punishment for mischief is clearly prescribed: execution, crucifixion, mutilation, or at the least, exile. This is the command given to the Muslims. Quite clearly, it does not teach what the Muslims proclaim it teaches; in fact, it teaches almost the exact opposite. It is undeniably clear that, in order to make Islam seem peaceful, Nazam and many other Muslims rip this verse out of its context, take words out of the very verse itself, changing the entire message for something else. I wonder if they know they are guilty of Surah 5:13. In any case, we should not let ourselves (or anyone who might be interested) be deceived by the popular Muslim interpretation of these verses. |
