My people......how's everyone doing? I want to use this medium to wish you all goodluck in your visa interview. My Jan 13 interview seems the easiest I've ever seen. Apart from doing my part very well to the best of my knowledge and understanding, I was also super lucky on that day, extra grace also followed me. I will always celebrate Jan 13 every year.

Goodluck to everyone and stay blessed

Unofficial transcript for application. Then official copy after you've been given admission.
I did not submit any test score.

emmanuelle27:
One more thing bro, did they require official transcript/test scores before processing your application or did you just submit your unofficial copy for initial admission decision purposes?

Your guess is as good as mine. I lost all my confidence, I couldn't speak up to answer the only question asked but still got approved.

DS-160 is very important. My DS-160 was well detailed and I was lucky.

That DS-160 is key please. Everyone should fill it properly with much details. If you have nothing to hide on your social media handle, pls drop all. I mean all. I dropped Abt 7 social media handle, 3 mails, 4 mobile number have used in the last 5 years and my job duties were well detailed.

Goodluck to everyone

strictlyui:
I got interviewed by the same lady too. and was approved. I think she relies more on the strength of your DS-160 to make a decision rather than the interview itself...which is why it is important to fill out your ds-160 yourself...to stand out from the generic crowd. they only issue about 5000 F1 visas to Nigeria currently... so competition for space can be stiff at times especially during the surge days like Yesterday.

From my understanding, if you dont cancel the old appointment in lagos, thère is no way you can book a new appointment in abuja. So, the next is to cancel and rèschedule. If you have option to reschedule without cancelling, good. if not, no other way ooo, na to cancel 1st

villabiz:

Yes I have updated my profile and saved it . The system didn’t alert me whether to pay a new visa fee. I can see cancel appointment, emergency request, appointment history, provide feedback, update profile and logout on the left side of my dashboard.
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by ifedayosol(m): 5:23pm On Dec 21, 2021
update 1st please

villabiz:

Thanks for your response. Yes the new one sent is Abuja . But I have rescheduled before so my fear is that if I cancel my appointment I may have to pay another visa fee . Pls confirm. Thanks
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by ifedayosol(m): 5:15pm On Dec 21, 2021
just update ur profile by putting ur new DS-160 application ID and click save. At that point, the system will inform you if you are to pay a new mrv fee or not
villabiz:

Thanks but but since I have rescheduled before do I need to pay another visa fee?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by ifedayosol(m): 5:11pm On Dec 21, 2021
Check ur new DS-160 sent to ur mail, the location should be Abuja. If its abuja and you have updated, you are on right track. just proceed with your appointment
villabiz:

I have updated my new DS ID on the portal and I wasn’t transferred to Abuja . Pls can you assist. Thanks
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by ifedayosol(m): 1:32pm On Dec 21, 2021
Fill a new DS-160 form, choosing Abuja. save the new DS-160 application ID. sign in to ur CGIfederal portal, click update profile, erase the old DS-160 application ID and input the new one, then click on save/update. you would be transferred to Abuja ìmmediately. you can then start a new appointment schedule

How did you go about this please?

I think you need to get a response from them b4 you can switch. Except of you will have to cancel the appointment and switch to Abuja but I don't know the implication of cancelling Sha oooo

SonugaMike:
Did you pay another interview fee?

Hope they won’t refuse if they see I have already applied in Lagos?

Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by ifedayosol(m): 9:35pm On Dec 20, 2021
Emergency Appointment applied to Lagos Dec 4th, was denied on the 15th of dec. Immediately, I filled a new ds-160 choosing Abuja. Then I went back to my old ds-160 to update it.
After updating it, I applied for regular appointment in Abuja and immediately applied for EA on the 17 Dec and request approved today 20 Dec.

SonugaMike:

Please when did you apply to Lagos and when did they respond/deny?

Does it mean I can change my expedited appointment to Abuja?

I have applied to Lagos since 2 Sundays ago and I haven’t heard from them since then. I don’t know how possible it is to switch to Abuja and get approval?

Could you advise or send me a direct contact please?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by ifedayosol(m): 6:30pm On Dec 20, 2021
I applied in Lagos, it was denied. I changed to Abuja and was approved. I stated that I need to resume Bleep date and I need to be thr early so as not to loose my admission. I uploaded sevis fee receipt, MRV receipt, i-20, int'l passport and ds-160 barcode page.

SonugaMike:
What reasons did you give for the emergency request? Have you applied in Lagos before then?
