justwise: That will be a problem, she doesn't earn enough and at the same time she is planning to spend more than 3months of her salary within a short period, basically she will be left with just N800 after the visit. Very slim chances. Same sentiments here. However, the naval dude is her boyfriend, maybe that would justify why she'd spend all that money for the trip. I feel bad already for her. |

Justaino97: please can someone explain the 5th reason for refusal Thank u OC------ I'm not a visa officer but reading that,It appears that you didn't have enough balance in your account/enough money to take care of your trip. OR The reason for your trip does not justify the cost of the trip hence the VO feel that should you make that trip, chances are you might not come back. |

jediKnerd: Update, spoke with Red Star yesterday and they mentioned some progress with getting some documents out yesterday. They could not confirm though if any UKVI - VI VAC were among. But I just received an update from TP that my documents are being returned. Safe to add two and two together that VI VAC (should/would) received some returned passports yesterday.
Hopefully they should be ready for pick up later this afternoon or by Monday.
Cheers lol They must give you this visa oo. |

DABeliever: @ Justwise, please do you know how to make payment for Visa fee using Naira master card If its GTB master card, you must be using online banking, have your token else it won't work. Use a visa card or keystone master card. @Justwise, I have this quick question. Someone I know. She earns 65,000 ngn a month and her bank statement have a balance of about 350,000 ngn. She said she has 270,000 ngn to spend for the trip and that includes tkt. Ticket is 102,000 ngn. Her host is providing her accommodation and take care of every other expenses. I knew all those details after she went for biometrics and I kind of feel she wont be given. What do you think? BTW,her host is a Citizen , a naval officer and every other documentation from her and hostis OK but I just feel the money is not enough. I wish she told me earlier |

Education › Re: An Inside Look At Lekki British School (pictures). by ifyalways(f): 7:44pm On Nov 25, 2014 |
Onegai: I know Lekki British well. To this school, Corona, Grange, Whitesands and more, my only question is this?
How many of your alumni are on the top 20 list of best performing students at SAT, GSCE and other international exams to enter universities?
My nephews went to a kindergarten that, well, their schoolfees could pay an Engineering contract staff. Not that much follow-up at home. When the older one went to Primary school, he had to be taken back a class. He could barely read but had a pretty accent. A lot of these schools are giving cosmetic values. Show me the laboratories, show me the library, show me scores that are incredible when compared to the average Prep school in England, US or India. Show me the innovation entering those minds, show me the list of scholarships won by students, awards amongst their peers etc. Even the best music students rarely come from expensive Lagos schools (trust me on this, or better yet, attend one of MUSON's concerts).
For that N4mil, I'd send my daughter to QA's School and my boys to Harrow.
My kids will go to the kind of school where the teacher has to know more than me, I expect to see all sorts of Science, Arts projects. AP Calculus style, not speaking phonetics and carrying ipads to play and show off with your mates, while your parents feel smug for showing off to society that they can afford to pay for overpriced schooling. Hmmmmn Brutally honest. |
