Family › Re: The Future Of The Nigerian Child! by ifyalways(f): 6:29pm On May 23, 2011
Which Nigerian child? The aje from posh background abi the kpako for Mushin?

Generally speaking,Kids from well to do families have their future planned out even before birth. From their nanny, school, food, vocation, marriage and all what not is mapped out, theirs is just to follow the chart;a lil'change here and there is allowed though.

The ajegunle kid is a fighter right from the mom's tummy(fought and withstood all the shekpe, skunk, abortion pills, expired drugs) and hustler from birth. They hustle for space to crawl, fight for food, fight for sleeping space etc.Survival is for the fit and strong. No hawking/conductor work no food.No one has time to baby sit you so u learn to fight ur own battles. The ultimate goal is to "hammer/hit or make it" by hook or crook.Education is available(primary is free) but why waste the time? They are born survivors and can withstand any type of weather. Some come out aiight while others died while trying to meet up.

PS:This is NOT true for all cases.

@OP,how did the wife know that the hubby was joining dating sites?

Na only dating site sef, what if he joins P.hub et all?Love is a free bird, let it fly.A bird can fly from Australia to Jamaica but it always return to its nest, always! That's the magic of freedom, but keep a bird caged up and see it disappear to never return on the first chance it gets.

Online stuffs become a biggie ONLY when a couple are already having trust issues. If the foundation, pillar and roof of a marriage is strong and unshakeable, online stuffs won't bother anyone.
Family › Re: . by ifyalways(f): 12:45pm On May 22, 2011
@OP,If according to you,ur husband is OK aside the verbal abuse then brace up urself and tame him.Tame him by either ignoring him(no food,no sEX,no communication) when he gets vulgar or give him back,as much as u get(remind him that it's only a dog that marries an ashawo,he too be chief butthole scavenger and navigator)

Im ignoring the physical abuse part;its 2 years now so what gives?

Btwn, have u ever in the past abused him verbally?Called him names?

cheesy Mu he he.

The new way to throw questions at Nigerian men is to declare that actresses don't shave,u've spotted chest hairs on bla blahuh

Pull others down to feel good or champion ur cause?

Twa!

It's a lovely sunny day here.Mwaah!

^*sighs*
What's up with trying to make it personal, throwing dumb conjectures and rhethoric questions at me?Is this thread abt me cos I asked for valid proves or reasons why shaving/non-shaving shld be encouragedhuh

Your opinion is that Nigerian actresses don't shave(debatable) and I asked If they are at any  health risk(s) to themselves and others around them cos they have body hair and all you could do was to ask "if i like the hairs, does it look nice" bla bla?

Not 1 valid reason yet why body hair should be shaved?. . .Ooops, does it look nice, attractive and cool in your eyes is enough reason.LMAO!!!

BTW,I have no BH and guess what?I remove mine NOT cos I just saw J.LO's advert but cos mine is scanty and itches.Im only curious,i thought having body hair makes one a dirty woman or whats the point of this thread again.

Fela's "Mr follow-follow" is on air.lolz
Celebrities › Re: . by ifyalways(f): 9:23am On May 21, 2011
I agree with Dolley.I'm yet to hear of any health risk that non-shaving pose or even the advantage of going hairless.@OP,can u point out some?.

As long as a woman trims or shaves the armpit and bikini, she is good to go.Total Body hair shaving is just a fashion fab and none shld be crucified or applauded for that,IMO .I've seen hairless women that stink btw.

I read only the 1st and last pages but heck, the OP has been sending his "discovery" free to people's mailbox for over 1 year and now. How many out of the thousands that submitted their email address on this thread got the desired and sought after product? Was it free as OP claimed?why or what's stopping the OP from posting his discovery on here directlyhuh

Girl,Im not really interested in neither ur parents wishes nor ur reason's but If u know what's good for urself and don't want to end up a baby momma, get that dude to the court NOW and get legally married to him.

Naomi,Is he married now?

I don't think HE wud suggest taking the boy from you now it's rather too early but just incase he does;
Is he married?become responsible?what type of work is he doing(does he work long hours, shifts, his work entails constant traveling) ?

Consider carefully his answers.dad-son relationship wud not grow in an instant or overnight so he has to start off with say school vacations.

I don't agree on sending off ur son to a boarding school right now and just like that(unless he is alreader a boarder) because u want to please him.Let him start off with spending vacation with him.

You don't have to worry either of him taking ur son away from you,the boy is 15,he might be acting stubborn et all but deep down he knows all u've done and given him as a mother so he ain't going to forget you or get stolen from you.

btw,If per chance the dude happens to be single,Is there any possibility of getting back together?(lol, don't mind me oo,or even think abt that now)One day at a time.

@ Ifyalways:
You 've made such an impact and I so adore you for that. He should be coming all the way from warri delta state for this meeting in lagos. I do not know what plans he has, i do not know either if he has friends/relations in lagos he intends to put up with. sincerely, i would like to be in control of my life. where exactly do you thing would be the best place for this meeting. does it make sense to let him know where we live.
You can ask him If he has plans on where to sleep/stay.Subtly ask, don't suggest your place or anywhere for that matter first, let him tell you his plans. If however he has not made any accommodation plans,Its up to you to decide If you wud accommodate him or let him stay in a hotel.

Have u told the boy yet?You don't want to give him a rude/pleasant shock do u?

IMO,he shld make plans for his accommodation outside ur place for atleast the first day/night.Depends on how the first meeting goes, you can decide to bring him home or to any of ur relatives place. If you or him has relatives in Lagos, you can have the first meeting in their place.Sort out basic issues before you bring him home to see his boy.

Naominna:
Dear ALL,
Thanks for all you do. It has helped somehow.  What I really need from this man is for him to play a role in contributing to the welfare of this child as the burden is overwhelming for me having done it all by myself to this point.
He is married and doing well for himself now. That's fine by me, but I just need him to take responsibility in providing for my child - his child.
For the very first time in many years, I just called him up and proposed that we need to see to iron out issues about our son, which he has agreed  but when my son misbehaved some few days ago, I couldnt bear it. I called him again amidst anger and told him that time is of essence that i may not be able to wait till the time he is proposing to come. I told him i needed to see him urgently and settle things ones and for all. But, I dont know if my tone was harsh enough for him to make a retreat or refuse to show up.
I am very confused and dont know how best to handle this situation. If he eventually shows up, i dont even know how to approach the discussion or present things as i want them or as best as they should be.

Comrades, I need more of your wise cousels. I feel really empty withing me. If i dont hear from him soon do i need to call him again. another term has started and have not been able to pay for my souls school feels. I need him to help now.
What do you say, ?
A million thanks
Noami.welldone for mustering up courage to call him. This is a welcome development.

You can't be blamed much for going off key,now what is the way forward?
I wud suggest you send him an sms to apologize for ur earlier outburst but firmly coerce him into meeting you asap.Is he married now?where wud u be meeting him,his home,ur home or an open comfortable place?

When you eventually meet him.please don't start off boring him with the past or the boy's bad behaviors, you have been in charge all these years, show it to him. . . and if he starts talking abt the past please firmly let him know you are not interested, you are not there to discuss the past but the future of ur boy.

I wud repeat again for the umpteenth time ,Ignore the NGO route for now.The less people involved, the less complicated it gets.Give him a second chance to make things right, meet with him first . . .this first meeting wud be clear pointers on the way to go.

Goodluck babez.
