I really hate to think that this same man will now become godfather to Rochas and hence calling the shots.

I googled it and it seems it's always the woman first, but as you said it's our wedding and we can afford to do as we wish. smiley
Cool but deep down you,are u very comfortable with the way he handled this and the part you too played?
Does this say anything to you, warning bells on how to handle this man in future ?

As it seems u have no further objections, sit your man down and let him know you agree to his suggestion but most importantly the way and manner he went with it is definitely not the best. Now you know u have a hard nut to crack so brace urself for the ride.

Congratulations btw.

Mi God,are you even listening?

You are 25 for God's sake, don't start acting like a high school sophomore here.

What precisely are you calling, texting or gonna ask him?You are that jobless to bother your life with his updates?Jeez.

Grow or buy some ignore and move on pills please.Don't even dream of re-tweeting or getting a funny status/update urself unless you are a drama queen . . .an old one at that.(sorry for sounding this way)  smiley

Just chin up and let it be,is that too hard to ask?

If you could create such a stir for a fuCkbuddy what wud u do when u get into a real relationship  shocked

Nne biko,advice urself.shuooooooooooooooooooooo.

jay bee:
The issue at hand calls for face-to-face dialogue if she wanna be the bigger person.
What's wrong with asking him just before you guys do the doodoo d next time y'all meet?
IMO,there is absolutely nothing to ask or discuss.

They were not into any agreement or relationship so on what basis is she gonna ask huh

If she felt insulted/cheated or bad with that update best bet is to move on.Forget the guy,the good s3x and just move on !when the guy calls or comes around for s3x,you tell him you ain't game anymore or you have upgraded to something meaningful with someone else.If she wants the s3x et all,she should just keep shut and get the s3x . . .that's it.

The guy owes her no explanation whatsoever and her asking for any would only lead to one sure thing . . .more insult and drama.

I wasn't stalking him! he's my friend on facebook, and i couldn't help but see the update
This is where your maturity comes into place . . .Ignore his update or status chikena!

He did not put your name there,It could be for you and a zillion other girls out there,it could be nothing really.

Stalking does not end with going out of your way to chase someone, when you start twisting someone's words, read meanings to the person's every step you are stalking,IMO.

Lose sleep cos of a mere FBK status/update shocked ,common gurl, step up ya game biko.

A big girl is one who knows when to look the other way,one who knows when to ignore and keep shut, one who's  good  at strategies and most importantly one who knows how to chin up when she losses.

If the dude is not picking or returning your calls anymore then take it to mean that playtime is over for him and just move on.No point in creating this thread.  undecided

Anyhow,Even if the updates gets thrown at your inbox, spam box or wall, its still none of her biz.

Romance › Re: Isn't This Just Cruel? by ifyalways(f): 2:24pm On May 05, 2011
OP,You have no business checking out his Facebook or any other social site status. You guys are neither married nor into any kind of committed relationship so why stalk him and bother your life with his status  huh

Listen girl, don't ask him anything about his facebook status, you guys did not meet on fbk so whatever he says there ain't no biz of urs.Blimey,If you confront him, even If he meant to stay . . .he's gonna pick his shoes and run.Learn to let certain things lie as it were.
If he wants to call off the whole thing,he should be able to say it to ur face or take the easiest route ie avoid you.As it is now,he has done NONE of the above so I really don't get whats ur problem here ?
I'm married and I know my marriage was not contacted on facebook so I try as much as possible to disregard whatever my husband does on fbk or at any online forum.Of course,I watch but I pay certain things no mind . . .He respects himself though.

What Im trying to say is this:Whatever he writes on fbk is none of your biz.You wanted constant s3x,companion and a friend and u got it,why stalk him now?Things happen and u saw urself falling in love,u are a woman . . .our mothers thought us that na,subtly but quietly change position.Corner and finally rope him-in without saying much. . .that is,If he too is interested.

One thing that kills marriage is trying to follow/keep up norms, traditions or just doing it like others.

OP,Aside because it appears odd to you, what else are your reservations? Why does your man want his name before yours?

It makes alot of sense to see reasons,no matter how silly it might look. Its your wedding,do it exactly the way it suits you.If anyone has problems with the name arrangement,S/he can boycott the wedding simples  smiley. I'm not saying you should just agree to your husband's plan but hey,pls come up with a more tangible reason aside the "it seems odd" blah blah and what are his own reasons for objecting  huh

I would not have batted an eyelid if it were a younger sister, maybe cos Im the eldest child and used to the pranks siblings play to get money off their elder and financially better-off sibling.

As she is your elder one, just laugh it off.If it were me,I wud call her, tell her what the real prices are and let her know I now know she played a fast one on me but I wud appreciate she come out straight to ask me for money rather than cheat me.

Not such a big deal,IMO.

. . .and OP,sure u never pulled such stunt on her in the past? Not saying it's payback time but If you have and she laughed it off then . . .One good turn deserves another.

She is just about to finish school and her opinion is to go along with whatever i decide leaving me to the final decision making. I dont know how to explain rugged and rough more than using those words, i think you should understand.
So when she finishes school where wud she work, assuming she don't plan on being a housewife ?

Rough and rugged is relative, depends on how you see it.IMO,every city is rough and rugged, you can't escape that.Besides,Ibadan is more or less an extension of Lagos in every aspect(good, bad, ugly) so wud it really make any difference  huh

Hello nairalanders, I need your contributions as regards this piece.
I am a young graduate who is just about to complete his NYSC (National Youth Service) programme. I am serving in lagos state and Planning to get married at the completion of the programme. I have been able to secure a job in which i will continue after the NYSC programme. The issue is that i have been thinking of how to settle down when i get married. I dont want to build a family here in Lagos state because of the rugged and rough nature of the cities, so i thought of getting a room apartment here in Lagos for myself and another main apartment elsewhere(maybe in Ibadan which is like an hour drive from Lagos ) where my wife and children will be stay while i go to meet them every weekend or forthnightly. Or i should get a full apartment here in Lagos and just grow my family there.
Pls wats your opinion about this. Sharing of experiences will be appreciated. Thanks
I this,I that . . . .whatever happened to WE ?

Have u sought ur wud-be wife's opinion? Is she working or in school and in which city?
