^I don't get u?Technical schools are for people with "lesser brain"

@Topic,Yes I would.All the way from the scratch to the top.I think most of us are just replying without really knowing what "Technical school" is.Technical school ain't same with Vocational school.Technical sch(Nigerian standard) is just like secondary sch.,they write same WAEC after 6 yrs then proceed to the Uni.The only diffrence with Tech. sch is that nurturing talents and skills are their priority as against Arithimetic,reading and writing(normal secondary sch).

The added advantage of attending a tech. sch is that on graduating,the child is capable of working &earning income.
I believe the onus of the whole thing is how far the child goes.Some kids after tech. sch. starts making cash and forget abt going to the Uni.

Below are some of the differences btwn a child that stopped at Tech sch and one  that went to Uni :
Technical sch.                                                           University
Electrician                                                             elect. Engineer
Mechanic                                                                Mech. Engineer 
Drawing                                                                Fine and applied arts.

I guess he is feeling awkward but he should be the one to do it,that is one of his duties as a parent!
Taking the girl to a doctor or any outsider won't do much good,If anything goes wrong in future(the girl gets preggie,faced with relationship challenges,dealing with peer pressure at school) he wud be the last to know as the girl wud first confide in outsiders.The girl is 17 already and that is a plus for the man as she already knows alot.The talk they wud have is more like opening communication lines and taking their relationship a notch up from just father-daughter to best friends.

Btwn,the best sex talks I got were from my dad.I don't understand the logic that men can't discuss sex with their daughters when they phock,discuss abortion and marriage with 16 yr old girls.

A child,i can understand but once it gets to 2 or more,I'm picking my shoes.

Single mum's with 1 child from a teen pregnancy who are brave enough to say NO to abortion,adoption and child abandoning are definitely heroes.I wud always respect such ladies.

Single mothers with 2 or more children from same or different fathers are however a diffrent issue,good for them anywayz but there is nothing to celebrate or admire there.They have been there once so its expected of them to make and stick with PLAN B/better decisions.

If I were the babe,the marriage thing wud be put on hold now,If she could wait for 5 years,waiting a few more years won't kill her.Why rush in now when its very glaring that the guy is NOT yet ready for either commitments,marriage or being a daddy?
