You have to present the underlying [Nigerian?] driving licence.
An international driving licence is not a standalone, it's based on a national licence.
And you should be within the one year period following your arrival in the UK as a resident during which you can use your national licence to drive in the UK.
Hi what’s the process of changing from Nigerian international drivers license to U.K. licence? Will you do through the driving test and theory to get the U.K. own?

I came alone on student visa October 2021, started working in social care May 2022, my husband and children joined me November 2022, i applied for IHS refund for myself and family, I got paid but my family application was rejected, I was told to reapply for them after 6 months because they need to have stayed in U.K. for 6 months before applying, though I know someone who UKVI refunded her immediately her spouse got his visa, so it depends on the person handling your but am sure you won’t have any challenge get your refund.

She can apply for herself and dependents using her 6 months bank statement. Did you all come into the U.K. together?

quote author=bluebella post=122025135]Good day elders,
Please for those that have applied for IHS refund.
My spouse has worked in the Health care industry for the past one year and about to apply for the IHS refund.
Can she include the children as well? (knowing that the children dont have payslips to show)?

Thanks in advance for the responses cheesy
Please bosses in the house, I have a little problem. I just got to the UK as a dependent last month and my wife (main applicant) visa expires in May.

Ever since, I have been looking for jobs even if it’s cleaner or factory work but due to the fact that I have no BRP and no experience working in the UK, most of the these companies are not giving me job. The reason for not having BRP as stated by UKVI is because I entered UK in less than 6 months to the visa expiration date and the reason
why it was so is because I was in my finals here in Nigeria, I had to finish school before joining my partner.

Our only option here now is to apply for PSW and I need to work to be able to meet up. We stay in Bournemouth and she’s working 20hrs/week but rent and other bills are there and we need to balance up the school fees too. Please if there’s anyone with cash in hand jobs I can do? I’d appreciate. I already have every necessary docs to work including updated DBS but only BRP. The care job that made me do the DBS are now saying till next month before I can start working with them.

Why not start with a credit builder on Monese first and then get a sim or phone contract with providers like O2

Hello,

I know this have been talked about many times but I need help on this please.

I have been in UK for 13 months for 2 years Masters, I registered with Experian and my score is 845. I have tried to apply for a credit card even with AMEX , I saw a link here and applied and was rejected.
I don’t know what I am doing wrong, I have registered on credit ladder for some months now, I am registered on electoral roll. I have direct debit for data, NHS prescription and Netflix.

Please can someone help out? Experian sent a random mail that I qualify for Backlay credit card, I applied and was rejected, what should I do ?
Thanks .

Good morning, I have been in U.K. . My family just got their visas, please I want to ask if it’s possible to book BA from U.K. for them to travel with, has anyone done this? I have checked the prices and it’s actually cheaper booking from here even with the exchange rate.
Has anyone booked for their loved ones from here? Where did you book? Online or their office?
Any help with this please?

Many students have received IHS refund.

You are eligible for IHS refund as a student if you work with the NHS or Care home certified by the Care Quality Commission.

To apply, you must work over an average of 16 hrs a week and have evidence of payslips of working in the above sector for at least 6 months consecutively. Your IHS should be in accordance to your visa.

Your dependants are also eligible for refund. Include them in your application. You will need to apply every 6 months to get paid.

Apply through here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-immigration-health-surcharge-refund/healthcare-setting.
Thank you for replying

Hello,

I have been in U.K. for one year on a 2 years masters program, I want to know if there’s any student that has applied and gotten a IHS refund, not dependants please.

I have worked in social care which is under CQC but am not sure if I qualify as an international student to ask for the refund?
Thanks

Good morning, I am the MA and in U.K. for a year now, how can I and my spouse sign on same document ie consent letter when both of us are not in Nigeria at the moment? if we use my e signature and my spouse signs on it too for our children’s consent letter will it be an issue?
Do I need a separate letter telling UKVI that I give consent for my spouse to come with the kids to U.K.?
Thank you.
