~Bluetooth:
so you wouldnt have known abiola's connection with itt if fela hadnt sing that song.thanks to fela then.
Let me tell you, fela never believed in democracy neither in the democratic nationalists.he was a social critic who only saw his mother and Nkurumah as his hero.he was not happy at Abiola's rapport with those in the corridor of power and to this day, nobody questioned abiola for corrupt practices concerning ITT .if you have any proof, please you can post them cuz i'd like to see
guy stop acting like you are in la la land. This is Nigeria money talks bool$hit work$. So it is only those people that have been questioned for corrupt practices that have questionable behaviors? WHy is EFCC not worrying OBj and IBB then?

Even those that were hounded like a dog e.g RIbadu and el rufai why are they let off the hook all of a sudden?  Please never use nigerian corruption meter as your basis for who is corrupt or not

Bros you get sense- most PhD holders are clueless about anything outside their field
Dont be silly again- this thread was titled concerning drugs and not ITT. Fela Kuti did have a grudge against Abiola. Its possible that abiola was probably fronting/stole money- but was he really a drug lord?

If Abiola was a drug lord- you think the US would not be aware of this? With the CIA/FBI and everything everywhere- His family is well respected in the US and when the elections were overturned the US were not happy. However, I doubt they would have been that helpful to a drug lord.

By the way Fela as an afrocentrist- made a lot of ignorant comments. He saw things in the larger picture, not the baseline- which is required to understand the problems in Africa. Instead of blaming the problems of africa on the people itself- he spent too much time complaining about oyibo people

Do you mean this song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkJdDN3EG7Y
Ofe mmanu please be posting comments as someone that is enlightened, so the u.s only support people that are holy? Didnt america support saddam against Iran? Is america not supporting hosni mubarak in egypt? Didnt the u.s support the fedayeen against the soviets in Afghanistan?

Please America is not GOD so whatever they endorses shouldnt be the alpha and omega

all of you trying to crucify mekuxxx are dodging the question of the thread

Abiola indeed was a beneficiary of ill gotten wealth

Is mekuxxx a triablist? Hecks yea he is just like a million tribalist we have here on NL

bodsibobo:
I was once in a queue at the Home Office in one country trying to extend my visa when the young man in front of me (an Igbo chap), while being attended to by the Home Affairs official claimed he had a B.Sc. in Fine Arts. I nearly died of shock!

mekusxxx, are you that guy?? shocked shocked shocked
funny enough i was watching this show on you tube UK Border force i saw this young man with multiple aliases and multiple cat mark (obviously a yoruba guy) who was caught by uk immigration officers, Can you imagine they saw a S.African passport in his bag with his pisho and this guy deny flat that it wasnt him (even with all the mark in his face evident) na wa o,

Da grin this Da grin that ah ah let the poor boy Rest In Peace,

Who is better than who is all relative/subjective and not absolute/objective. I can come and say Bright CHimezie or oliver de coque is the shiiieeet, considering these are people who tend to a particular segment of society,

Lets be honest with ourself his core fans are usually in the yoruba speaking areas, I for one felt like Pon pon pon song delivery was dope video was tight but its not like i will cop his album (I can dance to what i dont understand but wont spend my ego on what i dont understand), He had a particular niche and non yoruba speakers happen to not be in that niche,
