THE Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed a base housing Wagner Group mercenaries in the occupied Luhansk region, according to the Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration.

The base housing the Wagner Group – a network of mercenaries and a de facto private army of Russian President Vladimir Putin – in the town of Kadiivka in Luhansk Oblast, which has been under occupation since 2014, was destroyed by Ukrainian forces on Thursday, June 9.

Making the announcement through messaging service Telegram, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration and Strategic Communications Directorate of Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Haidai, said: “This time the Wagner base caught fire. The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck it well.



“The enemy base is located at the local stadium in Kadiivka, which the Russians brazenly occupied in 2014.”

Twenty-two Wagner mercenaries, who were camped down in the football stadium, died in the shelling from Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Reports from Ukrainian media suggest that four people survived but were seriously injured.


This is the second report of Putin’s de facto private army suffering heavy losses.

On Tuesday, May 31, it was reported that Ukraine’s army had destroyed a large unit of the Wagner Group in the Donbas region.

Ukraine’s Security Service intercepted communications suggesting that ordinary Russian soldiers were now afraid to fight in Ukraine after word of the Wagner Group mercenaries’ demise spread.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian guerrillas took out a large group of “Wagnerites” in Donbas and after the destruction of such an “elite unit”, Russian soldiers were left “afraid to fight.”

An intercepted telephone conversation revealed: “It’s f*cking Special Forces! Trained, f*ckin’ trained! They’re all dead. Well, not all of them, there are some leftovers. I don’t know, I don’t see any other way out of this situation.”

Tbilisi (AFP) – The leader of Georgia's breakaway region of South Ossetia on Monday scrapped plans to hold a referendum on joining Russia which his predecessor had scheduled for July 17.


South Ossetia was at the centre of the Russian-Georgian war in 2008 after which the Kremlin recognised the territory as an independent state and stationed military bases there.

In a decree issued Monday, the Moscow-controlled enclave's president Alan Gagloev invoked "uncertainty of the legal consequences of the issue submitted to a referendum".

The decree also stressed "the inadmissibility of a unilateral decision of a referendum on issues affecting the legitimate rights and interests of the Russian Federation".

Gagloev ordered "to hold, without delay, consultations with the Russian side on the entire range of issues related to the further integration of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation".

On May 13, Gagloev's predecessor, Anatoly Bibilov, signed a decree on holding the referendum, citing the region's "historic aspiration" to join Russia, his office said at the time.

Bibilov lost his bid for re-election earlier this month. Russia has expressed hope that Gagloev will preserve "continuity" in ties with Moscow.

Tbilisi has previously denounced as "unacceptable" plans by South Ossetia to hold a referendum on joining Russia.

Monday's announcement came on the 96th day of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, where Moscow-backed separatists in Donetsk and Lugansk regions have also expressed interest in joining Russia.

The full-scale war on Ukraine has sparked an outpouring of solidarity in Georgia.

In August 2008, Russian forces launched an all-out invasion of Georgia, which was battling pro-Russian militia in South Ossetia, after they shelled Georgian villages.

The fighting ended five days later with a European Union-mediated ceasefire but claimed more than 700 lives and displaced tens of thousands of ethnic Georgians.

The war's aftermath saw the Kremlin recognise the independence of South Ossetia and another separatist region, Abkhazia, which have since remained under Russia's military control.

The conflict marked the culmination of tensions with the Kremlin over staunchly pro-Western Tbilisi's bid to join the European Union and NATO.

In March, the prosecutor of the Hague-based International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, applied for arrest warrants for three current and former South Ossetian officials in connection with war crimes committed against ethnic Georgians.

The alleged crimes included torture, inhuman treatment, illegal detention, violation of personal dignity, hostage-taking and illegal transfers of people.

Last year, the European Court of Human Rights ruled that Russia was responsible for human rights violations in the war's aftermath.

Nothing is wrong with Nigeria. Planes are towed all the time especially if it is no longer airworthy and to be converted to perhaps a tourist attraction as a hotel or something like that.

You can clearly see that the wings have been removed from the plane which means it is no longer airworthy.

Oga the Azov battalion did not partake in the coup that ousted that puppet of Putin in 2014 it was the entire citizens of Ukraine who staged a revolution called the REVOLUTION OF DIGNITY which ousted him. Read about it.

Yanukovic refused to sign a trading deal with EU under the instruction of Putin and this incensed the citizens of Ukraine against him because that apparently was the last straw that broke the camel's back for them. They were fed up of being a country with leaders under the control of Russia and they rose up against the government for 5 solid days.

The took over all government facilities and structure and eventually got the Ukrainian parliament to vote against the President and Remove him. Then an interim government was set up.

Yanukovic called for help from Putin who in turn sent soldiers to Ukraine with his own agenda which was not targeted at quelling the root but to take over some of Ukraine's land. This was how Crimea was annexed and then Donetsk/Luhansk became partyl zombified for Russia.
