For a while, little or nothing has been heard from Shaydee, who used to be label mates with the likes of Banky W, Wikzid, and Skales. However, in an interview with Saturday Beats, the singer explained the reason why he had to take a break from his job.

“I took a long break for the best part of the year. I released the song, ‘Touch Me; a day before my birthday and the feedbacks have been great. I am actually working on the video right now. I was supposed to release two songs but we had some delays so it has been postponed till next year.

“I took a break because I have been dealing with some other things apart from music. Ordinarily, I am a very private person but because I am a musician, I have to be out there. I had to take a break to get my energy and rhythm back. We all deal with different things that we cannot discuss,” he said.

The singer, who has never been romantically link with anyone in the entertainment industry, told Saturday Beats that he had actually dated a lot of women.

He said, “Ladies send me nude pictures without me asking for such. If I mention some of the ladies I have been with in this industry, a lot of people would be amazed but that is not what I feed off. I prefer to feed off the energy music gives me. I am not trying to get hype from the women I date. When the ladies read this, they would know themselves but I am not the type to kiss and tell, same way you would never catch me showing a public display of love.

“When it comes to settling down with a woman, my mother knows better than to stress me because I would settle down when I am ready. She knows that everything is about money. I know I am making money but I also have a lot of responsibilities. There are a lot of people that I feed.”

The singer further used the opportunity to talk about his relationship with his former label mates, saying, “I think I am the only one that left EME without any form of controversy. People are just trying to look for drama where there is none. You would never get anything dramatic from me even if you try hard.

“I do not want anything to tarnish my image. I still saw Banky W recently. We are so cool; relationship is everything. There are no issues between me and Banky W, Skales and Wizkid; that shows that relationship is everything. It is not a big deal that I was not on Skale’s album because there were so many of his friends that were not on the album as well. People just want to pit us against each other,” he said.

A cannibal, who butchered his lover, roasted and ate her brain then drank her blood and tried to summon the devil, has been jailed for 19 years in Russia.

Dmitry Luchin brutally killed his older lover, Olga Budunova, 45, hitting her head with a wine bottle before dismembering her body with a meat cleaver.

The 23-year-old went ahead to tear out her insides, a court in Novgorod was told.

Luchin also daubed swear words, including the word ‘LovePeddler’ on her body in blood and purple-coloured nail polish.

He was found guilty of murder committed with special cruelty and would serve his sentence in a harsh regime penal colony.

The young man, who had been declared mentally fit to stand trial, read a bizarre poem to the court in which he denied that he was a maniac, murderer and cannibal.

He had carefully planned the ‘ritualistic cannibalistic murder’ after becoming obsessed with reading about serial killers on the web, alleged prosecutors during his trial.

He admitted to police that he got sexual pleasure from the attack, although he later retracted his confession of guilt, after a crime scene re-enactment in which he showed police how he killed and dismembered the woman.

Budunova was killed after her ‘toy boy lover’ went to her flat in Valdai for ‘romantic’ drinks to mark International Women’s Day, a major public holiday in Russia, Daily Mail UK, reports.

Alexandra Dedova, 21, a neighbour, who witnessed the grotesque crime scene soon after the murder, was present at Luchin’s initial police interrogation.

“He wanted to summon the devil,” she said. “He waited for five minutes but the devil did not appear.

“Next he took the meat cleaver and smashed her skull. He cut pieces out of her brain. He roasted and ate them. He liked it. He ate another piece. Then poured a glass of her blood and drank.

“Next he cut out her stomach and chopped off her ears. One he put into her mouth, the other into the cat’s bowl.”

Two Yahoo boys and a security guard have been arrested over the murder of a first class female Delta State University student, Elozino Joshualia Ogege. .

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Mustafa, said 22 years old Elozino, a 300 level student of Mass Communication, was found dead in a bush at the outskirts of Abraka, on November 18, 2018, after she was declared missing on the November 15. .

He said the deceased was murdered by persons suspected to be ritual killers. His word: “Some of the major suspects connected to the crime had been arrested and currently assisting the police with their investigation.” Efforts are ongoing to arrest other actors in the crime.

The Oyo State Government has explained its role in the ongoing reconstruction of the façade of Yinka Ayefele’s Music House, which was partially demolished in August.

The government, in a statement issued on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy, Mr Bolaji Tunji, said its intervention was informed by the acknowledgment of contravention of the state building code by the management of the Music House and the personal appeal by Ayefele to Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

The statement noted that an appeal from various stakeholders in the state and the musician’s willingness to rectify the contraventions, which would involve the reduction of the frontage fence line by 1.5m, among others, had informed the intervention by the governor.

It said that the parking lots at the end of the building, which is close to the entrance of Lagelu Estate, had also been reduced by 10.9m to allow visibility.

The statement added that, in line with the recommendation of the joint committee of the state government and the management of the Music House, an entrance was being reconstructed from the rear of the building to the staircase for the exclusive use of Ayefele.

The statement read in part, “There is also the recession of the current façade on the frontage of the building by 2.9m. The new fence will be grill fence to ensure visibility, while a staircase will be built at the basement to access the studio.

“The structural elements in the building will also be strengthened, while the two projections at both ends (stair halls) of the current frontage will be retained.

“Following Mr Ayefele’s admittance of breach of procedures in the construction of the building and his subsequent apologies, as well as intervention of well-meaning members of the public, the governor agreed to temper justice with mercy.

“The governor’s approval on the reconciliation of the issue was communicated to Ayefele on October 19, 2018, where he also approved the assistance on the reconciliation agreed upon on compassionate grounds, as he earlier promised publicly.”

“It is necessary to put it on records that the governor or the state government was not out to witch-hunt the popular musician or anybody, but had acted to safeguard members of the public who daily ply the roads contiguous to the Music House.”

The singer was reportedly held hostage by students of the institution after allegedly collecting N3m for a show and failing to show up for his performance.

Now, Babcock University Student Association (BUSA) in an official statement obtained by sources explained what went down and further said KIzz Daniel has returned the money he was paid to perform.

According to them, Kizz Daniel arrived late because he had just returned from Dubai and no specific time was agreed between both parties at the time of negotiation.

‘We send our sincere apologies to Kizz Daniel and the students of Babcock University for any inconvenience experienced. We hereby repudiate any defamatory content against BUSA, Kizz Daniel and Fly boy INC’ the statement partly read.

A Magistrates’ Court on Friday ordered that a 32-year old driver, Savior Dabo of Bam Bam village, Makurdi, who the police accused of kidnapping and forcing a 22-year-old woman, Helen Ijir into prostitution be remanded in prison.

The Magistrate, Mr P.S Chaha adjourned the matter until November 21, for further mention as the plea of the accused could not be taken for want of jurisdiction.

Police charged Dabo with three counts of criminal conspiracy, abduction and trafficking in women.

The prosecutor, Mr Godwin Nev told the court that the mother of the victim, Mrs Juliana Ijir of Behind Modern Market, Makurdi reported the matter at the ‘D’ Division Police Station on September 7, 2018.

Nev said that Helen’s mother reported her daughter missing.

Nev said that after a search, on September 15, Helen called her from Ouagadougou, alleging that the accused took her there to work for him.

The prosecutor said that the accused forced the victim into selling her body.

He said that the victim was able to escape from the men that the accused forced her to live with.

The prosecutor informed the court that the accused person was later arrested when he came back home.

According to the prosecutor, the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 97 and 283 of the Penal Code Laws of Benue, 2004 and Section 3(2) of the Abduction, Hostage Taking, Kidnapping, Secret Cult and Similar Activities Prohibition Law of Benue, 2017.

A Kubwa Grade I Area Court on Friday sentenced a 20-year-old sales boy, Rejoice Ugwu to eight months in prison for stealing a windscreen of a car worth six million Naira.
The judge, Malam Abdulwahab Mohammed, who gave Ugwu an option to pay a fine of N20, 000 after he pleaded guilty, warned him to desist from committing crimes.

Mohammed, however, ordered that Ugwu’s accomplice one Chukwuebuka Nwankwo be remanded in prison custody until Dec. 11, for the hearing of bail application.
Police charged Nwankwo with receiving the car windscreen.
He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr Noel Omeji told the court that one Kelvin Eze, petitioned the Inspector-General of Police and FCT Police Command on July 20.
Omeji said that while conducting taking stock of supplies in his shop, he discovered that a car windscreen and others goods valued at six million Naira was missing.

The prosecutor said that when Eze asked Ugwu, he admitted to stealing the windscreen and selling same to Nwankwo and three others at large.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 97, 289 and 317 of the Penal Code.

An Indonesian woman has bagged a six-month jail term for exposing her cheating boss.

The supreme court’s shock ruling overturned an earlier court decision that had cleared the woman, Baiq Nuril Maknun, of breaking a controversial law against spreading indecent material.

“I’m saddened and shocked by this sentence,” Maknun’s husband Lalu Muhamad Isnaini said Friday in reaction to the ruling, which was issued last week.

The case stretches back to 2012 when Maknun recorded a conversation in which the principal of the school where she worked on the island of Lombok revealed graphic sexual details about an affair he was having with another colleague.

Co-workers of the school administrator — who herself had rebuffed the principal’s repeated advances — later convinced Maknun to release the recording in a bid to expose the man’s history of lecherous behaviour, according to her lawyer Joko Jumadi.

“The principal shared very graphic details about his affair with the school’s treasurer in the recording,” he told AFP.

In response, the principal fired Maknun and filed a complaint with authorities.

Maknun was initially cleared of the charges by a local court in Lombok, next to holiday hotspot Bali.

But, last Friday, Indonesia’s top court reversed that decision, finding her guilty of violating the electronic information law and sentencing her to six months’ jail along with a 500 million rupiah ($34,000) fine.

The 36-year-old Maknun told local reporters that the ruling was unfair.

“I’m just a victim — what did I do wrong?” she said at the time.

The court did not give reasons for its verdict.

The prosecutor’s office in Lombok told AFP on Friday it is reviewing the case before Maknun begins her sentence.

Indonesia’s corruption-riddled justice system has long been criticised for the quality of its rulings, while the electronic information law itself has come under fire for being too vague and open to misuse.
