We havs several steel rolling plants/mill in plateau state, kano and several other places.
The sad part is that they don't produce at maximum capacity and are not enough to meet local demand considering the level of industries springing up here that requires them.

Besides Nigeria has many steel making plants. The reason everyone keeps mentioning Ajaokuta is because of the size. It's a city that takes hours to tour and each section of that city is a part of the plant. A lot is still being produced there but not to the capacity it was designed to handle.
There are several steel plants in Nigeria, we just don't make noise about them. It's high time y'all stopped thinking everything must be in the news.
