Sir Theophilus Okere, a former Director-General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation was said to have stabbed his Wife Beatrice, AUTHENTICNG learnt. A family member of former Director-General of the Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Theophilus Okere has revealed as to the reason the EX-DG stabbed his wife of which they have been married for 50 Years. The source in Imerienwe community in the Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area of Imo where the accident happened said Theophilus Okere had been suffering from Dementia. Dementia is a collective term used to describe various symptoms of cognitive decline, such as forgetfulness. It is a symptom of several underlying diseases and brain disorders. Nyesom Wike has been dragged to the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS Community Court of Justice by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) for gross Human right abuses. Along side with the Governor is the Government of Nigeria led by Muhammadu Buhari. SERAP dragged them to the ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja over the “brutal crackdown, repression, and grave violations and abuses of the human rights.” The body, in suit number ECW/CCJ/APP/20/20, accused Wike of using COVID-19 as a pretext to step up repression and systematic abuses against the people of Rivers State. It said this included demolitions, mass arbitrary detention, mistreatment, forced evictions, and imposing pervasive controls on daily life. SERAP complained that Wike was using Executive Orders 1 and 6, 2020 to abuse the rights to liberty and freedom, contrary to Nigeria’s international obligations, including under the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. SERAP said that Wike and his government failed to respect, protect and ensure the constitutionally and internationally guaranteed human rights of the people of his state. It noted that the federal government, being the signatory to ECOWAS treaties and protocols, cannot escape its responsibility to ensure that the human rights guaranteed under human rights treaties to which Nigeria is a party. Dr Peter explained that a person is described as insane if the person’s state of mind or behaviour is different from normal perception as discovered in Kanu’ s public statements. According to him, Kanu by some of his public statements over a prolonged period of time clearly shows signs of mental disorder and serious illness. He said: “When he says things like the VP was forcefully Injected COVID-19 or that the VP and Femi Adesina were kidnapped or under house arrest or that Aso Rock is empty, these are signs of insanity because they are a fabrication of his imagination.” Mr Peter explained that another trait of insanity found in Kanu’s confused thinking was demonstrated in his perception about President Muhammadu Buhari He said, “Kanu is confused in his perception and thinking, for example he has raised this view about the President of Nigeria, Jibril of Sudan, Buhari is a clone, Buhari using silicon mask or that Buhari is a doppelganger”. Peter also said that the denial of obvious issues like denying Igbos are Nigerians or assuming Igbos are Israelites or Jews and denying the place of southeast politicians and leaders are all fulsome signs of Kanu’s insanity. Analysing Kanu further, the psychologist said delusions or hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not really there) are other signs of insanity, saying that the symptoms of mental disorders found in his behavior and public speeches lately indicate excessive bouts of anger.
