For many of us, purchasing airtime or data from VTU platforms is a routine activity. However, one small but consistent inconvenience is the need to manually select your network provider each time you enter your phone number. Whether it's MTN, Airtel, Glo, or 9Mobile, the extra step of choosing your provider adds unnecessary friction to what should be a seamless experience.

To solve this, I decided to implement a solution using the NCC numbering plan. The NCC numbering plan provides a structured list of prefixes for all mobile network operators in Nigeria. By programmatically mapping each prefix to its respective network, I automated the detection process. Now, when a phone number is entered, the system instantly identifies the network provider without any manual selection.

This simple yet effective solution not only speeds up the VTU process but also reduces errors, making airtime and data purchases smoother and more convenient.

The Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has expressed his joy over the meeting between the Southern Governors in Ahaba (Asaba).

The governors, under the aegis of the Southern Nigeria Governors Forum (SNGF), said they condemned open grazing of animals and movement of cattle from the northern part of the country to the south.

The governors also called for a national conference to determine national questions bothering on the nature of Nigeria’s federalism and federal character in national appointments, among other issues.

Southern Governors banned open grazing in 17 Southern States of the Federation.

They noted development and population growth had put pressure on available land and increased the prospects of conflict between migrating herders and local populations in the South.

They also challenged the Federal Government to urgently restructure the nation to address the rising agitations and insecurity across the Federation.

Nnamdi Kanu on a broadcast thanked the Uzuko Umunna for their ability to unite the southern Nigeria and also thanked the Family of Indigenous People of Biafra and the Oduduwa People for their consistency that have made the meeting come true.

Nnamdi Kanu queried why the Governors will have to take permission from the central Government for them to go into Livestock management in their own states.

Kanu said their meeting is a step towards the Referendum the IPOB have been clamoring for.
