Exousiang01: Ignorance and foolishness is what is killing most of you. You cannot see that old structures like that are evidences that the town had been exposed to civilization a long time. As at the time those houses were built your parents were walking naked(Yes just about the time of independence in 1960, Igbos were still walking naked) let's not even talk about cement block houses or zinc roofs. The best of you were living mud houses when these houses were built....
If not that you still live in a cave in the east and haven't left the country you would have found building that are 100 years plus in cities like London, Venice, Paris, etc..... Ignorant illiterates coming to insult people with rich history....
The reason you don't have roofs that are this old is because your people were to poor to afford this type of roof as at when this were built. Your people were and are still jumping night buses to get to the west. Many have even bought ticket for tonight. These roofs were what made your ancestors called the west "city".... Slowpoke Historical building are all over the West, South South and the North.... You can't even find an old palace in the East. Una wer start to dey civilize yesterday. Small nyash dey shake. Lol. Backwards mofos regurgitating their usual consolation |

Nigercity: Lies and lies Umuahia became the capital because of it's central location and closeness to ABA and old Bende, back then in imo state old Bende people wanted a state of there own with uzuakoli or Bende town as capital, and most of the great men of Abia state and south east are majorly from that side (Abiriba, igbere, Arochukwu e.t.c) The ngwas also wanted to be out from IMO state but they weren't really seriously about the ABA state creation because there kin and Kith in mbaise prefers being in imo, after much deliberation the two groups where merged with a central location selected, which lies close to ikwuano not even the Umuahia of that time (which is currently known as old umuahia today) It has nothing to do with tribes or cultural affinity, alot of group who felt marginalized in there state back then like, oyigbo, etche, ikot ekpene e.t.c all wanted to be part of the new proposed state back then, especially obigbo I heard that Arochukwu and Abiriba people are the greatest investors in Aba |

Wait make this people wake up tomorrow and see how they will drag you. Every state is constructing this type of road. It is not spectacular. Even almighty Lagos doesn't care about inner street roads in low income areas like Onitsha and Aba |

SWATMan: Please explain the meaning of inferiority complex in the context above. Someone,(maybe a paid image launderer) posted pictures of the ongoing projects in a state, and you are here attributing it to a psycho-complex issue not only shows that you are a stark illiterate, but also a tribal bigot with no contribution to offer. That word has suffered in the hands of those illiterates from wastelands |

Objectivist04: Even though it sounds foolish for the op to compare the mediocre work with London but I think it is time for we to ask our Yoruba brothers to show us what is happening in Ekiti , Ondo and Ogun. It has been long any developmental news emerged from those states. Pls my people we should not overlook Ekiti, Ondo and Ogun they are also part of nigeria Aba is definitely London compared to those rotten places |

A very tiny part of Aba Is captured in those photos. Generally the Ngwa people are quite troublesome and primitive. This is one of the reasons it is so dirty and chaotic Omo. See haters everywhere |

Putinofrussia: lol How many streets or districts are in Aba.How many did you post on this thread now that one will say Aba is well planned. Ibadan has more than 12 GRAs,I could go to anyone of them and take up to 10 pictures and say Ibadan is well planned. If you want intelligent and discerning people to understand how well planned Aba is,post pictures of more than half of it's streets. At least, post 10 different streets or locations. We want to see even if it is well planned up to Kaduna,Kano,Ibadan,Anambra or any other location in Nigeria. Una go just de yarn rubbish |

BEFORE Obio Akpor joined
That area is much bigger and better planned than this filthy pigsty called. Aba A small part of PH is quite similar to Aba grid system. Just a tiny portion |

chnnmfl: Before any other thing else, the very basic meritc of judging a good urban area is the design and master plan. That's the foundation.
I have shown you the scintillating Google Earth grid image of Aba showing that it's a brilliant and a well taughtout design by the planners.
And I have challenged you to show the grid design of the cities you are comparing with Aba. Yet you no gree show.
Also people are confirming the uniqueness of Aba design and easy city accessibility. Na hate go kpai you. Yes. The core areas of Aba and Onitsha were perfectly planned before rapid expansion spilled to neighboring villages
