Yes they founded it by waging war on the original settlers.

I’m not about to go into the argument about history but all I will say is that from the earliest documented history of all Obas and Baales in Lagos including the Aworis, which Language do they speak?

Which language is spoken in the Oba’s Palace in Lagos today and even as far back as when the British invaded?

If Binis founded Lagos, how come the Bini language isn't spoken?
I like the way e de pepper una now. Shebi una de support ikwerre madness? Even saying that language and names are no longer criteria for ethnicity in ikwerre matter?

Why na only ibos dey always dey against Yorubas? When Atiku went to CSU for a fishing expedition, all of a sudden ibos took it personal and were all over the cyberspace crying more than the bereaved. Did you see Hausa-Fulani calling Tinubu names? Did you see any Hausa-Fulani promising brimstone and fire if Tinubu is not removed from power?

Now, show me one Bini person on nairaland shouting about what his oba said, NONE! But immediately the oba erroneously said what he said, all ibo mongreals crawled out and went all out, all over Instagram, twitter and nairaland spewing thrash in their typical stupidity of an enemy of an enemy must be a friend.

When lagos state assembly enacted the Yoruba language protection Bill, which mandated Yoruba language to be spoken in all government establishments, you ibos out of 400 tribes in nigeria started protesting and calling lagos a no man's land.

We might not know our friends, but ibos? You have made yourselves our enemies and so shall it be. We heard you loud and clearly during the last elections on how you were planning to foist Chinedu Vivor Rhodes on us and how you promised to remove Oba of Lagos, remove all the ba'ales in Lagos.

You must be crushed and totally destroyed!

Slavery was a business

Infact booming business, war is just one of the numerous factors of being enslaved

Anybody can capture anyone and sell such person to slavery

The Igbos and Akwa ibomites that ended up in the Americas, was it Fulani and Yoruba war that took them there?

Ask questions
Arochukwu controlled slave trade on the Bight of Biafra

Lagos is covered by Ogun, Osun, Oyo and Ondo state. Common sense dictates that it's yorubas.
Ogun and Ondo swampy coast were not yoruba controlled. Yorubas are not water water tribe.

Buying? Do you know all land you think you bought was actually leased? I know you too broke to have a single feet of land, so I wasn't surprised about such ignorance.

No one is buying land in lagos, C of O is certificate of occupancy and not certificate of ownership.

All lands belong to the aboriginals.
All land belong to state government

Raining bombs on our lands some decades ago didn't stop us e come be mere demolition in far away Lagos. They will have to nuke Lagos completely before it can lead to significant setback on us

LegendHero:
Lol. Now you’re turning logic on its head.

Everything domiciled within the SW will be counted as her GDP, household, riches, and poverty and that includes the assets and liabilities.

Poor Igbos, Hausas, Kanuri, Fulanis, Ijaw, Itsekiri, and etc that live in the SW are also counted as part of the poor people in the SW. why did you not factor that in the metrics?

Don’t commit intellectual dishonesty. Just as we have poor Ibos living in the SW, we have rich Hausas living in the SW and they ALL count. No one use rope to drag them to live in the West.
Igbos are largest non indegenous population all over Nigeria, their mastery of trade create huge rich and middle class. Of course there are poor Igbos in SW but the rich and middle class are larger by far, the fact they have it among those left at home means they even have more among their sojourners

The Present Governor of Lagos is Ijebu

All of Eastern Lagos land mass belongs to Ijebuland even though that the Awori have the largest indigenous Population

Infact if you look at the Map of Lagos State considering that everything East and North of Lekki is Ijebuland you can argue that about half of Lagos State Land Mass is actually Ijebuland

Don't take my word for it just look at the Map of Lagos State yourself and see it with your own 2 eye
half of Lagos State Land Mass is Ijebuland
Everything East and North of Lekki, including Ikorodu

But that apart as long as Sanwo Olu is Yoruba it is fine

Lagos is Yorubaland
Yorubas overwhelmed Lagos taking advantage of proximity
PoliticsRe: Reno Correct A Fan On The False Statement About Nigerian Movie Industry by igwebuike01: 11:27pm On Nov 27, 2023
LegendHero:
Yes based on this data, it shows the Yoruba have the highest number of rich and middle class.

You know why? It’s because the data is presented as a percentage. If you check the population stats, the SW have larger population than the South East.

So if 67.8% of the SE population is tagged as rich, then judging from population number, we have more rich Yorubas based on the 67.3% when you factor in the whole number.

Thank God I’m using your own data to reach the conclusion.
SW population is not yoruba population. The data shows that the gap in wealth is very wide if SE alone can record such. Rich Igbos outside SE added will increase the gap wider

That is because you’ve not shown me data especially when you re-echo IPOB bureau of statistics.

I can say Yorubas are the richest ethnic group in the world. In my village, people will cheer me on but if I say that in the gathering of intellectuals, they will ask me for data before they accept it.

Anytime I see anyone parrot Igbo are the richest, I just take the person for a comedian learning how what to say to make people laugh the most. Except if it’s Igbo in planet Mars and not the one we are all seeing in Nigeria.
Una de believe data?
Even education Data puts Igbo ahead but you will start mentioning university ranking or other silly data. You don't pay attention to middle level, that's your problem

But Yoruba have been travelling even when your forebears were still roaming the bush n@ked. While you travel come to Lagos/SW and feel on top of the world, Yoruba travel to Europe and America.
Another mumu without native intelligence I have been talking about. While you don't travel more than Igbos to Europe and America, note that Igbos don't see those places as superior. Traveling to London is as good as travelling to Maiduguri to an igbo man, what matters is to travel where is suitable for your business

I even forgot to tell you. I Legendhero am the richest man in the world, I just don’t like making noise.

You’re not the one that’ll tell me about intelligence. I’ve reached a level in life that it’ll take someone so ignorant to question my intellect.

Global stage is the main goal of every civilization. The world is fast moving and there are lot of inter connectivity. Anyone still stuck within his local framework won’t be able to meet up with his peers whether in movie, music, or any industry.

Lol, you call Afro beat “lacking quality”? I don’t know if you live in the West, but if you move out and see how people are accepting Nigeria music and major lounges, restaurants, radio, clubs, and etc jamming Nigeria music, you will NEVER say it lack quality.

If you sau we don’t have lyrics, I will agree. But this century music is not about lyrics anymore, it is the vibe and acceptability.

That’s why even ordinary amapiano beat without voice will sell O2 arena.
Yorubas in general lack native intelligence not you in particular. It was a respected Yoruba elder statesman that said it. What is 02 Arena? To an Igboman his village primary school Field is greater than 02 Arena

But bro this is 2023, it’s only an illiterate economist that will continue to target low income earners when he has the bandwidth to target the high end market simultaneously.

We are Yoruba, with the right environment, we will playing global and not local. Even our old musicians have always played on a larger global scale.

This comparison with cars is not the same as movies. Do you think Innoson target poor people for his sales? How will he even reach break even if he did that?
You lack native intelligence. Always rushing to global stage. Even your music domination claim is based on international visibility not quality

A movie is part of the generic revenue.

It’s is a cumulative. If you make 50k movies today and you only generate 10million from it & you make just 200 movies and generate the same amount, which industry would you rate as the best?

Whether by number of movies, whether by revenue, the Yorubas are still at the very top.

I don’t know what you’re talking about tho. Maybe Kunle Afolayan should buy Keke NAPEP and be selling his CDs in Africa remote village to be notorious then.
Una no Sabi business forget. High revenue from one quality movie doesn't make you better. The low quality movies Igbos focus on have general revenue but you won't understand

We have different catchment areas in mind. When Japan started making cars it was rejected in Europe but they tageted lower income groups. Today they remain highest car exporters yet they don't have expensive luxury cars

What is the number of people in local areas and how they they give you revenue to make you achieve success in your movie?

Which would you pick?

—A deal to premiere Netflix original for your movie?

—Deal on Africa magic TV to for poor people in Africa?

Do you know why Nigerian artists don’t perform again in Nigeria? It is because one performance in USA alone is enough to cover for 500 performance they do in any African country.

When Davido came to ATL few week ago, I spent like $200 for just me and the person I took there. And that’s not even the most priced ticket.

Thats 200k from two people and you have a Statefarm arena venue that fit collect over 18k + people.

Do you think Davido will make that amount in his lifetime performing for villagers in Africa?
It's not about revenue from one movie, it's about general revenue from the industry
