How sustainable and cheap is that in the long run? How impactful is that to the GDP? In fact relatively rich and progressive regions, eg the SW, can even fund PPP power solution to provide constant energy throughout a region.

Aba is estimated to have close to 100mw electricity needs as at now. That means excess 88 megawats to sold to National grid

It's not propaganda. Aba was already improving after Nnaji settled Emeka Offor and started his own distribution company within the Aba ring fence. However, the improvement is not yet widespread though since he is restricted to the little he gets from the national grid. When one turbine goes on in few weeks, more people will feel it

Aba has higher GDP per Capita than Lagos. The level of ignorance from your people is very funny. Note that world bank president personal approved this project after visiting Aba for feasibility studies. Aba purchasing power and disposable income is huge. 188 for 9 LGAs is very huge by Nigerian standards for now. Of course geometric will expand, but for now the 188 will have excess to be sold to National grid

None of the turbine has been turned on yet, still waiting for gas and money for the gas supply is heavy hence the delay. Besides, the 188MW is only serving 7 LGs and will start with 14hrs light. this guy wants every companies to come and sit down with 188MW, how many can that serve?

He will be starting with one turbine that generates 42 megawats. This is already greater than the 25mw they get from the national grid. At full capacity of 188 they will be having surplus because the electricity need is 100mw at the moment

Stop talking rubbish on topics you are not familiar with. Nnaji shot himself on the foot by merging Aba ring fence with EEDC during his tenure as power minister with hope to buy EEDC. But Namàdi Sambo helped Emeka offor by extending the deadline after his bid fell below. His partners from Thailand later raised more money before the new deadline and Interstate won EEDC bidding instead of Geometric. So it was never Emeka Offor fault that Aba ring fence was merged with EEDC, Nnaji made the mistake by himself which later cost him huge money

This is for igbos to think about. Since EEDC power distribution company was purchased by Emeka offor, the power situation in the south east has not improved.

The company frustrated and bankrupted geometric in court. If not Geometric would have started power supply to Aba years ago.

The owner of the company is not patriotic to Ndiigbo and not willing to make the needed investments needed to improve power supply to the south east.

This is why I propose that we should finance geometric to purchase EEDC.

If geometric purchases EEDC, they can build power plants and distribute locally to different municipalities in the south east.

Funny enough, Barth Nnaji was minister of power during the Goodluck Jonathan administration. He was forced out of office for corruption and conflict of interest in the privation process.

He stepped down during the privatisation to give the process more credibility because his company was bidding for EEDC. Namadi sambo later changed the rules and extended deadline to favour Emeka Offor (Inter state) who siezed Aba ring fence given to Geometric by Obasanjo regime. They later settled and Nnaji paid Emeka Offor to reclaim distribution in Aba ring fence
