Today, I went out of my comfort zone to search for cheap oil. ...deep down into an interior location, I got at the price of #6800 per 25L. When we bought at #6000 in my locality, we heard that in that interior location, they sold at #5000 - #5500. So today we set on a journey to that place. We were able to get 25 gallons. Tomorrow we target 50 gallons. We met a lot of people who had over 10drums of oil each. They are not willing to sell, they are hoarding the oil and watching the market. ..but we are going to entice them with money. We knew what we went through before we were able to convince someone to sell two drums to us, out of the lots he has. ...with international boarders closed, smuggling and importation still difficult, and we are now going out of Palm oil season, it is obvious that we will buy 25L palm oil for over #10, 000. Get ready |

agabusta:why not the DISCOS buy directly from TCN? |
So what does NBET do in essence? |

Thank God she did not hijack the plane |
Game is changing. In my area today it goes for 8000 - 8500. As lockdown is being relaxed, demand is surging. ...international borders are still locked down, smuggling and importation may be difficult. Price may hit above 10000 as local demand increases. Fingers crossed. |

Go to business section, nobody is writing again. That section use to be a wonderful section with matured minds. But their incessant banning and hiding of threads/comments has scared people away. Today no meaningful thread pops up in the business section. Not just that, they have allowed tribal war to thrive very well. |
They also hide comments exposing some crimes and scams. Seems some mods are partner in crime |
Congratulations to them. |
If this happened to me, I will fight not because I want my money back but because the person needs to be stopped. I will report to the police, get a report and take it up. I will make sure the name(s) behind that business are exposed. ...the BVN attached to that account and the names on the CAC will expose the people behind this fraud. |
uboma:It is better you say she should have a staff than say relative. Relatives and even friends have killed businesses in Nigeria. Unless it's a joint business, I can't allow relatives or close friends to run my business. About your experience, no country is exempted. Just last week, through a company rep in China, I got in contact with someone who wants to sell some equipment. The equipment are wonderful but to cut a long story short, they are not suitable for business in Nigeria. ...and the man bought then at a price four times the price of local ones that are efficient and more feasible. The Chinese company can't take back the goods, the only help they are giving is to help him market the equipment. This is the second time the company is contacting me to help buy off some equipment from their client in Nigeria. They keep deceiving Nigerians that they have wonderful tools and when you buy them, you find out they are not economical to do business with on Nigeria. That's one, My cousin was preparing for his wedding, he ordered a beautiful shoe from Alibaba. The seller had good reviews. The shoe landed. To cut a long story short, my cousin headed to Aba to make a new shoe for his wedding. Another of my cousin started mini importation from China. Goods were so cheap and beautiful. The reviews were wonderful. He placed plenty order. To cut a long story short, he sold off the goods at a very very give away price and didn't continue with the business . Everything was fake. Back here in Nigeria, I was in shop buying chemicals. Two men approached the shop owner to advertise their product(PKO) and mentioned where they were coming from. The shop owner said he doesn't buy PKO. Immediately I heard PKO and their location, I hurriedly asked them their price, they told me. I gave them the last price I bought. It seemed like we have started negotiating for business in another man's shop. The shop owner, with a harsh voice, chased us out of his shop that he doesn't want when a business will go wrong I will come back and say I met those people in his shop. He continued that he doesn't know those people oh. I followed the two men outside. To cut a long story short, they are now my main and only suppliers of PKO. I have a new client who paid me 800k for a business. He doesn't even know where I stay. But he believes I will deliver. Somebody in Jos who never knew me nor met me, paid me 350k for a business, to balance 100k after delivery. When he came for his goods, he couldn't make transfer of the balance due to the circumstances surrounding his movements at that period. He got back to Jos, after 4 days he paid. Then he called me to ask me why I was not afraid he will run away with my money. The person that supplies me Shea butter, I met here on Nairaland. I have never seen him in person. What point am I trying to make? We have genuine people doing business in Nigeria and we even have worse people abroad. Why they seem to look genuine abroad is because they have a system that checkmates them unlike here in Nigeria. Stop discrediting Nigeria because of one or two experiences. You are a Nigerian doing business in Nigeria. If you discredit Nigeria and Nigerians, you are equally discrediting yourself. ...because you can't come and tell me that to do business with a Nigerian in Nigeria is risky then you advertise your product or service to me. What makes you think I will listen to you? |
donparosky:please where is the Hausa guy located, can you link me to him? Here, in Umuahia, it is #1000 for the smaller older ones and 1200 for the bigger ones. |
uboma:I can vouch for her. She is real!!! If you are abroad and you want your business to thrive in Nigeria, you have to remove relatives from the equation. I set up a soap factory for a client in Sweden, he controls it from there. That my client has a friend who is also in Sweden and has a poultry farm in Nigeria. He also controls it from there. ...and none of them is working with relatives. |
@Uboma and donparosky ojaylyte is real. She is in UK and runs her business in Naija. She has PO and PKO processing plant. I have had one or two business dealings with her and I have referred customers to her. |
Imagine the stress and cost of registering a business with CAC and then opening a business bank account, then come online to use it to defraud somebody just #6500? I don't believe she duped you. Let's just hope she will come up with an excuse to justify the delay. Maybe you send her a text message stating that you have opened Nairaland thread to report her fraudulent activities, then wait for her response |
DipoToyo:how much and how does it work? |
