Problem for Watchmen sad sad sad
If this movie doesn't come out sad sad sad

Apparently the movie was the movie that couldn't be made but now that Snyder got his hands on it, people are now fighting for it.  It was at Fox studios and they sold it to Warner Bros, now WB made the movie with a budget of 120mil.  Fox now says not all the rights were sold to WB and they want their payment.  It was taken to court and the court sided with Fox.  Until this issue is resolved, the movie cannot be released.  Of course WB will not relinquish the rights and Fox is wise, if they get a percentage of the sales.  .  .mega dineros.  WB is appealing.  They better resolve this fast.
Fanboys are thinking of boycotting Fox's X-men: Wolverine because of this - so the news say.
People are seriously waiting for this movie.  .  .

Am watching Highlander : The search for Vengeance (anime) in the meantime.

Nope, not kidding. Haven't see n any of the movies listed either tongue. He was nominated for supporting actor in Duchess wasn't he? I always see him in the same light as Joaquin Phoenix(where is that one sef?).
shocked shocked Oh girl better pick up those movies tongue Aside for Avengers - that was a crappy movie.
He was truly evil in Schindler's list (loved the whole black and white with splashes of color thing spielberg did).  He was nominated for an oscar in this one.
The english patient is more hmmmm casablancaish (in my book, that means epic romance) He was also nominated for an oscar for that one.
I thought he was great in Red Dragon.
He was nominated for The Duchess and Bernard & Doris.
He did however had this scandal thing i think last year or the year before.  .  .something about him and a flight stewardess and the mile high club ahehehehehe grin grin

Romance › Re: Stop Moaning About Heartbreaks! by iice(f): 2:55pm On Jan 13, 2009
Genuine:
I'm getting really sick and tired of girls and guys moaning about their partners cheating on them. It is a simple fact in life that no man will get stuck to only one woman whether in or out of wedlock, same goes for women - its mutual!
There used to be a time when a man was to 5 or more women, thats how it was from the begining - thats how it will continue to be. All these talk of heart breaking, can't u just take it on the chin and move on?
Its just so annoying, when an ugly girl or a broke ass man expects a handsome guy or a pretty woman to stick with them alone - is that possible? No! That is life, enjoy it while it lasts and take it on the chin when it ends.

Abi what do u think?
I disagree. I do think some people are capable of being monogamous and don't cheat.
But i think people sometimes invite heartbreak and thus i don't see why they should be lamenting about it.

Fiennes was almost evil!!!! The only other movie I've seen him in is Maid in Manhattan so you can imagine how I felt when I saw him in this. He deserved the nomination jare (not the actual award though wink).
Are you kidding?  Only in maid in manhattan? shocked shocked shocked
Schindler's List?
The English Patient?
The Avengers (that one with Uma and Sean Connery)
Red Dragon (sequel to Hannibal)
The Constant Gardener
Harry Potter (Lord Voldemort - i watch it for him and Sirius Black a.k.a Gary Oldman) grin

In the movies nominated sef at the GGs he was in The Reader, In Bruges, The Duchess, Bernard and Doris.
I love him.  Joseph is drab compared to him.  Ralph is another person i'm waiting for to win too. He seems to come from an artistic family.

Oscar noms come out on Jan 22.

Herrera did that to her? On second thought, the dress is not that bad, someone with more grace and elegance could have pulled that off but she just looked downright messy!!!

lol @ Jlo. cheesy
I don't think Herrera did it to her, maybe she (Renee) did the messy bit herself.
The dress (which isn't a dress, its a skirt and top - so they said) is out of Herrera's spring/summer collection.
I liked it but maybe a camisole  would have been better underneath sheer top abi na organza top sef.

Romance › Re: When The Trust Is Hurt by iice(f): 4:59am On Jan 13, 2009
I think you probably best have to try to work and regain some level of trust.
Hope that overtime, the trust will be strong again.
But most importantly never again give your partner cause to suspect and doubt you.
Never again put your partner in that situation where he/she has to question you.
Learn to follow your intuition and think things through first before making a decision you are prepared to live with no matter the consequences.

Personally once the trust is hurt it's almost impossible to work past that.

Nairaland General › Re: Why Do Some Nigerian Men Easily Get Irritated? by iice(f): 4:38am On Jan 13, 2009
I don't think so.  Well most of them i know and have met are not easily irritated.
I would say they are more 'touchy' than irritable.
In the sense that there are certain pressure points that once touched, flares.
They are passionate about certain topics/beliefs/interests, which usually are the point of origin of their irritability
unlike some women, who just get irritated without any definite cause.

What the frigging hell happen to her? huh

Jlo missed road grin grin

I liked Kate's dress.
Drew's dress was gorgeous but the hair is all wrong.
Liked Megan Fox's dress but somehow she came off robotic no pun
Beyonce looked as she always does on the red carpet, too tight, too shiny.  Thank goodness she didn't go overboard with the jewelry.  The swirls on the dress sef should have emphasized her waist not her hips.
Eva's dress was lovely but i didn't like the shade or was it the sheen?
Loved Rumer's dress without that belt thingie ughhh.
Also liked Evan Rachel's dress - i hope she has finally shed the Dita VonTeese look.
Anne's dress was lovely too.

LMAO Karma, i thought Marisa looked alright.  I guess pretty tame to how she was in the movie.

I saw THE DUCHESS and MILK over the weekend.
While The Duchess was ok, typical period drama, I think Sean Penn gave an incredible performance as the gay activist. I was really impressed by his portrayal of the mentally ill father in I AM SAM but Milk made me respect him even more as an actor. smiley
I found the duchess too to be just ok. Although Fiennes was incredibly placid it was almost inspiring grin

Milk was alright. I think i enjoyed it more because of the ensemble cast. I must say i was impressed with Emil Hirsch.
