Nairaland General › Re: Do U Really Forget If You Forgive? by iice(f): 4:12pm On Jan 04, 2009
thegame:
This has been an issue with me for years now. I don't forget what you do if u really offended me.
Now,the question is 'do u really forget when u forgive(or think u've forgiven)? '
Happy nu year to y'all as this is my first post this year.
Happy New Year to you too.
For me, it depends on the enormity of the offense.
If it's minor i totally forget, if it's major it's more of a forgive and forget as the person ceases to exist for me hence i forget and then i push it back into my memories so that i don't remember until something jogs it (even then it has to be something monumental to bring back up).
Romance › Re: Guys Are Always Too Quick To Assume That We Ladies Are Crazy! by iice(f): 4:12pm On Jan 04, 2009
sosodat:
The need for Closure doesnt apply to everybody & evry broken relationship. Its basically for those that are really in love & givin their all.

The need for Closure is not an impediment to movin on, but is required by those really in love to help erase painful flashbacks of questions unanswered.

Most peeps sayin closure should be done from within are correct if
1. D person wasnt really in love & givin his/her all
2. D relationship didnt end abruptly.
I wasn't going to come back here but i just had to clarify something.
Just because someone happens to achieve closure by himself/herself, does not mean the person was not really in love.
Just because they are not balling their eyes out and pressing for closure from the other person does not mean they were never in love.

jay bee:
If a lady you are asking out tells you she only wants you has a friend then you should program your mind to being just friends with her because u certainly don't want to be chasing shadows then come back to NL with stories of:
After spending all my hard earned cash she still doesn't want me,
I have tried all i can but she still want to be friends,
why are black sistas so hard to please etc.

being friends is probably the easiest way into a sista's heart because they get to know your real ass without you being uptight, fake and most of all doing things because u just want to get into their pants.

i had this in mind when i was reading and now i'm like huh

Poster,
You are so concerned about educational qualifications instead of marriage qualifications. You  even berated the type of institution he attended  shocked. I believe that the guy has his first degree already if not he will not be talking about MBA, so he is qualified, at least, academic wise to marry you.  You said "my educational qualification is so high", how high is it, please? Your post was not as academically "high" as would want us to believe grin grin. My sister, if you want to marry, think of marriage qualities else you will remain unmarried forever with your "high" certificates. In addition, marriage is a "till death do us part" contract. Therefore, you must enter into this contract not depending on parents for final decision. Finally, if you do not  feel  satisfied with the man's marriage qualities, you better backout now and look for another, else you will forever remain frustrated in it.There are many men out there. My advice any way. Good luck lipsrsealed.
Rofl.  I had a headache reading through the post.
Lady, the lie he told you is your smokescreen for your dissatisfaction with his educational background/qualification.
You have married.  Are you starving - does he not bring home the bacon or part of it?  Does he beat you? Is he causing problems for you family?
All the same, if you cannot work past the educational background/qualification, you'd best take your leave.

When i said I loved her I meant it that was why I gave her the time I gave her, If you are going to say she was not into me yea I agree to that, What relationship are you going to go in that you would not expect sex? so where then do I get the sex? am a very sexually active Guy I don't imagine myself having a relationship then forcing myself to go Calibate
Like i said, you keep harping on the patience = love issue.  So you gave her time to get used to the idea of sleeping with you, yeah you must really love her.  Imagine when the patience runs out and she still hasn't gotten to the point of sleeping with you.  .  .well what do you know?  The love starts to diminish and before you know it, it's dead.
Mr knowme, sex is a big part of a relationship but it's not all of a relationship and no matter if it seems inconceivable to have a sexless relationship, people do have those relationship.

So because a survey conducted in the USA (which you have yet to supply with a link) shows a higher percentage for double dating women. . .you concluded that Girls do indeed double date more than guys. The UK survey nko? Russia? China? Canada? Brazil? If the men stuck to their women, the women won't be finding guys to double date. If the women stuck to their men, the men wouldn't be find women to double date.

Its a pity!! Gone are the good old days when people were given sound and real advice here at nairaland.
