Good work DaLover, you should know I truely adore you & I'm your number One fan, no homo. @ Others. It seems from the replies here that majority of the parasites have concluded that the hosts on whom the parasites feed should not call the shots. What a shame! All good parasites either from the north or the west must start behaving like their eastern counterparts if they wanna continue being fed by understanding the etiquette of being a parasite: When the host says jump, the good parasite says "how high". |
Orlando Owoh: I now know why the Rivers State Government decided to change the names of streets like: Ihediohama, Obidianso, Nwanchukwu, Anozie, Echue, Achi, Okwelle, Akokwa, Egede, Emenike, Nanka, Okwuzu, Nsukka, Afikpo, etc.All these names came about during the Igbo reign of tyranny in the Eastern Region. These names were imported from core Igbo land and imposed on Ikwerre, Okrika & other Ijaw people, they bear no significance whatsoever with the natives of Rivers state. The current naming of PH streets is more in tune with reality. They didn't stop with just imposing Igbo names on Ph streets, towns were also renamed. Port Harcourt became Igwe Ocha Opobo became Igwe Nga. Bonny became Umu-Ubani Bakana became Odurogwu ....more coming. |
ChinenyeN: I don't believe I came here toI don't think "discuss" is the right word here, I don't want to discuss with you, I'm done with that. Right now I just want to listen to your "contrary information" as you put it, so I'm all ears. I've already heard about that of "Prof". Kenneth Dike & "Dr." Ike Okonta about how Alagbarigha was an hunter from Ngwa land and how he established an Igbo dynasty & kingdom in Bonny, but I haven't heard the Okrika own. I'm sure Kalabari's own is still in the oven, although Dede1 has been giving me some trailers on Kalabari & Nembe. I've also heard about how Ogbia are Ekpeye people even though Ekpeye & Ogbia don't share boundary. Pls keep the episodes of this movies coming, it is begining to interest me. I believe I can learn something from them because there is a sense in every nonsense. |
ChinenyeN: Abagworo, I don't even know why you decided to engage Ijaw Citizen. The first thing Ijaw Citizen does, when confronted with contrary MISinformation, is to display sarcasm. Anyone. with an actual interest in learning and sharing wouldn't display that sort of behavior. FIXEDChinenyeN, pls I beg you not to be a fool. You can't possibly know the history & origin of a people more than them. If you want to learn about peoples History, you ask them and learn in HUMILITY and ask questions if you have to, you don't speculate, assume and cook one for yourself just to make you feel good. Alright, I don't want to argue anymore. I'd love to hear more of what Igbos have come to think & believe about us, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. Starting with WHEN and HOW Okrika kingdom became a mixture of Ijaws & Igbos. I promise not to oppose anything you say. I submit to your tutelage. |
Wonderful Stupidity concept PRESENTS Grand Stupidity Punchlines. POWERED by ABAGWORO 1. Okrika is a MIX of Igbo & Ijaw with Igbo SUPPLYING the maternal lineage.Wow, this sounds like a business deal to me. So because of scarcity of women in Okrika Kingdom, Igbos started exporting women to Okrikans. Wonderful stupidity! I refuse to believe Abagworo is having complete human brainsets. I just wonder how you don't realize how ridiculous you're sounding right now. 2. Everywhere you call Ijaw inSo thought the Igbos in their wildest imaginations and in the climax of their delusions. Still on brainless assumptions, speculations, hunches, conjectures and guesswork created in Igboland to fuel their quest to annex Niger Delta. You still haven't pointed out the "Igbo elements" found in Okrika Kingdom. Waiting for the DNA results. 3. The onlyIgbo man's logic stinks. I once read this concept from the history books of some deluded Igbo historians like Ike Okonta & Kenneth Dike. These Igbos that can't even figure out their own Igbo history somehow seems to know about the history of the Ijaws. Yeye dey smell from una brain. So each time you accuse Igbos of land grab alsoSeriously? So you think Ijaw is in some tussle with Igbos to claim Okrika? This is a clear case of seeing your very problem on other people. It is you Igbos that struggle within yourselves about who is Igbo and who is not. We Ijaws don't share in your Identity crises. My opinion is that human beings evolve and ifOkrikans and all Ijaws don't have identity crisis like Igbo people. Okrika is a kingdom within Ijawland. Ndoki are not Igbos, go read their history. Reading thru this post, you give me the impression that besides the identity crises, Igbos also have reality crisis. And for that, there is no cure. So it is pointless educating you. |
ncpat: Let`s leave what happened in the Edo UK event out of this matter and come to the reality, my names are Uwabor Chukwuma Patrick and anybody that hears or sees my middle name written will quickly conclude that I am an Igbo man, that is why my primary school teacher changed Uwabor to Nwafor but I am from Igbanke in Orhiowon Local Government Area of Edo StateLol...change of name from Edo (Igbanke) to Igbo. |
Afam4eva: Are you denying that there's no Igbo content in Okrika or many parts of Ijaw speaking part of Rivers state?Igbo people 'live' in Okrika, just like every other place in Nigeria and all over the world. Is that what you mean by "Igbo element" & "Igbo content"? You're sounding more comic by the second, just explain your "Igbo element/content" in Okrika or forever keep that stinking opening you call a mouth shut. |
lygn19: I just dae laff...lol''' I don't want d Igbo's and Ijaws to fight any further wars,,, I just want peace,,,but if really u re dz boastful- then we look forward to that day. That is a fair challenge, I'm most definitely looking forward to that day too. What your forefathers could not venture for good reasons which you've failed to inquire towards, is what you want to dare. I hope their spirit reach out to you in your dreams before you reach your deserved waterloo. Hey! Adaka Boro kpo emi! |
Orlando Owoh: If those places in Port-Harcourt bear Igbo names and you label them Igbo, would you then say Adelabu opposite, Young Shall Grow Motors, in a Yoruba street?According to their logic, Olu Obasanjo road should be Yoruba territory. And By the way, Anyama is Ijaw not Igbo. |
@ Barcanista Pls don't engage them when they claim other people's territory whether Ikwerre or Eleme, let the natives of those places come to defend themselves. Even if they dubiously rewrite the history of these places against your well informed opinion, let them be. It is not Ijaw's business. Engage only when their madness is directed towards Ijaw affairs, else they are really not worth the efforts and corrections. Also, whenever they talk about Port Harcourt, just assume they are talking about the equally landlocked Ikwerre areas. We know what Port Harcourt is, they think PH is Obio Akpor & Ikwerre LGA. Don't just sweat it, they don't deserve the effort. |
lygn19: What of D Ibani-Igbo'sNo be only D Ibani-Igbos, Na D'banj-Igbo. Remember D'banj's song #Igwe! #Igwe, Ebube dike, D'banja na garan.......Yeah, thats D'banj Igbo. |
Afam4eva: Let me repair your ignorance. Okrika is not Igbo though has some Igbo elements. It's more Ijoid than it can ever be Igbo. Eleme is one of the units that make up Ogoni. Others are Khana, Gokhana, Tai. Andoni is also not Igbo.Afam4eva, prove your sanity by telling us about the "Igbo elements" in Okrika. |
DerideGull: As a Nigerian minister, Tam David-West had an encounter of protocol with people of Eleme and it was an experience rather felt than described.Yet Adaka Boro the Great single-handedly drove the entire Biafran army out of Ijawland. Imagine what a combined Ijaw army would do to you. |
Ikengawo: Rivers is an Igbo state. I don't see where Ijaws get the nerve to start making claim to a state dominated by numerically and governed historically and currently by Igbos. If Port Harcourt (Igwe Ocha) isn't igbo water isn't wetAre you serious or you're just intellectually & historical daft? |
donphilopus: Guy why vexing na?Every Ijaw man is a supporter of Biafra, so far its boundaries does not extend to Ijaw land and so far it does not force other Niger Deltan group against their wish. We all supported an independent Igbo Biafra in1967 and still do, but you BETRAYED us first by denying us COR state, and then using the might of Eastern Region to invade our lands and treated us like animals. Something you're so ashamed to admit for proper reconciliation with your ND masters. As long as you create for yourselves a false sense of superiority over us, you will always remain under us. |
barcanista: My friend stfu. Who are you? What Kingdom are you from? Okrika is NEVER Kalabari. Okrika is a Kingdom within the Ijaw Nation standing on its own so is Kalabari and others.Be gentle with him bro! For this to come from an Igbo man, I think that is the farthest they have ever been from error with regards to Ijaw issues. There is really no hassle for someone to group Kalabari, Okrika & Andoni together, even if he ends up tagging them under a not-so-accurate name. Trust me, I've been working on these guys a long time and this is a great improvement. |
ikwere militant: my frend idnt no ur beaf wit ibos bt i tink ure on d wrong side of d stret.nd if u say okrika are nt ibos, who re deyThe words (and a question?) of an Igbo-conquered Ikwerre What a pity! |
The temperature is so cold here, it seems someone has been pouring chilled water (known as ICE WATER in our local parlance) on these Arab-like expansionist Igbos. It is time to put these invaders where they rightfully belong. Good job, Omubo Barcanista. |
Ngokafor: The same question every month..arent you guys tired of asking the same daft questions? Thanks bro! The only sensible comment so far. |
The Ogiso dynasty wasn't heriditary. It was more like a traditional/customary democracy setting where the kingship rotated from town to town amongst the natives of the Benin Region who are the Ijaws, Binis & Urhobo. Here is one more identifiable Ijaw Ogiso after the first two " Ogiso Erebo (618– 632 CE), was a fisherman and canoe carver, chosen from Okhorho quarters. (IKORO is an Ijaw community in Olodiama clan) He had a repertoire of stories about sea animals such as mermaids, sharks, crocodiles etc. SOURCE: http://www.edofolks.com/html/osahon_ogiso_dynasty.htm But today, the Oba of Benin (who is in fact a migrant) is describing the Ijaws in Edo state as riverine settlers from Bayelsa! |
veraponpo: Ndigbo will suffer most. The simple reason is because most of they live on d success of the economy of other tribes-Lagos,Kano,Ibadan,Otta,Jos,etc. With Nigeria separation they will become strangers automatically. This would allow the host country to have the locus standing to deport some of them and with the small size of the south eastern states just adding up to the size of Oyo state, the land will be over populated, too small for agriculture therefore there won't be enough food,no sea port therefre international trade is affected, small airport, only Enugu airpot is supposedly made international airport and it is not a cargo port. North too may suffer but they are originally known as hard workers, they will go back to agriculture. North does not need much to live. South south will enjoy but will have cases of civil wars that will threaten their existence. Ijaw will dominate, efik and ibibo will stand alone, urhobo and ogoni will become minority. Itsekiri will go with Oodua in d west, bini will stand alone, etc Yoruba too may suffer some setbacks because of food supply that come from the north however, with Kwara that is 85percent Yoruba,Kaba and Okun people in Kogi,Osun,Ekiti,Ondo and saki people, the problem may be for just a year. Oodua will fare very well with 3 sea ports, international air ports, education, technocrats, good land for agriculture and big one, ocean and lagoon in lagos and Ondo, oil in Ogun,Ondo and Lagos, manufacturing companies in ogun,Lagos and Oyo State, tourism, etc Oodua just like before independence and amalgamation when other tribes used to come here fpr education and civiliation, will enjoy most. QEDFoolishness smells all over you, are you cursed? |
